Hello! An original starship design! Besides its obvious shape, I spent quite some time to find a hidden banana piece on its hull but didn't find any. Maybe it's juts in the pilot's lunch box. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Nicely set in scene! The starship wall construction also looks good! Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! As a micro builder collegue, I can imagine it was hard to come up with these designs. Those transport ships are a pleasure to look at. Also the cargo is of clever design, I especially like the octagonal container construction for the first transport vessel. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Some interesting starship designs you are presenting. When I see it correctly, you designed new ships for the Federation starfleet. You used the typical elements perfectly to obtain a new line of starships. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Underwater steampunk vessels are rare! Not surprisingly as underwater itself is already difficult to design. You did a fabulous job applying the steampunk style to a submersible. The fish shape is ingenious. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! M:Tron has always been one of my favourite space themes. I loved the new trans-neon colour scheme. You've designed a nice base for the M:Tron scientists. Has there been any further progress since its original presentation, maybe some crew or research vessel? Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello everybody! The old transparent-neon orange is one of my favourite colours, and thus it's my pleasure to present a new micromisation to you which features this colour. It's a micro version of set 6190 - Shark's Crystal Cave from the year 1996. It's part of the Aquasharks subtheme of the Aquazone line of sets. The most tricky part of the submarine was the double engine on the rear tail. I wanted to use those underwater scooters, but these are hardly attachable in a convenient way without leaving ugly gaps in the constructions. Finally it worked out pretty well, fortunately. Thanks for stepping by! Christopher

Hello! You did a great effort to achieve the letters made out of bricks on the sides of the bus. They turned out pretty well! Cheers, ~ Christopher

Thank you for the comments everyone! Han Solo's torso is from the adventurers theme (reference link) and Greedo's torso comes from the creator line (reference link). Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello everybody! Today I'd like to start my new project which I'd also like to share with the community. Ever imagined what Star Wars fans like you and me could have come up with if there never had been an official licensed theme? That's exactly what I want to explore with this now project together with you. The rules are simple: Any licensed pieces (like printed torsos, minifigure heads, special mould pieces, printed tiles, printed bricks etc.) are not allowed. Pieces from other licensed themes (like Harry Potter, Batman etc.) are not allowed either. But these limitations are none at all. Possibilities are infinite. Creativity is infinite. I'd like to start with scene 32 from A New Hope: Greedo confronts Han Solo in the Mose Eisley Cantina The cantina niche setup The cast of characters Going somewhere Solo? - Yes, Greedo. As a matter of fact, I was just going to see your boss. Tell Jabba that I've got his money. You can tell that to Jabba. He may only take your ship. - Over my dead body. That's the idea. I've been looking forward to killing you for a long time. - Yes, I'll bet you have. That's the end of that scene which you all know. There are some more scenes I have done already, and more I want to do. Have a great week-end, ~ Christopher

Hello! As already mentioned, BrickShelf is one very convenient way doing this. If you are not sure how do handle this, we have some great hints & tips from our tutorials index to help you with that. 1. How to upload pictures to Brickshelf 2. Posting Deeplinked Images from Brickshelf Have fun sharing your images! Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! That's an excellent choice! With Star Wars making less and less fun, I went a similar way and am focusing on other things. The terminator is an excellent addition for your moodland showcase. It looks as complex as the original with all the pneumatic tubing and hinges. Also the moodland-scaled skull is a cool idea. Cheers, ~ Chris

Midi Star Destroyer under attack! The Rebels arrived...
Legostein replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I forgot to answer your question, sorry. This special wedge piece was in the Racers set 8657 from 2005. Unfortunately, there are not that many of these pieces around. Thank you! It's one of my favourite Rebel ships as well. Currently I have 6 of them, 2 to escort each of the 3 MC80 Star Cruisers. The Assault Frigates are sourrounded by 2 Nebulon-B Escort Frigates each, giving a complement of 12. I wish I had more space to display all the fleets. The Imperial one is much larger (of course) with more than 80 ships. I am somehow tired of saying it. No. I can not. I will not. And I don't want to. I have a certain quality requirements for my models. And a single 1x1 plate certainly does not match them. Besides that, it would look extraordinarily disturbing for me. Thanks for your time and interest. See you around, Christopher -
Midi Star Destroyer under attack! The Rebels arrived...
Legostein replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hello! Thank you for the comments! Glad you like The Rebel ships. As stated several times now, the smaller the ships are, the harder it is to recreate them in a specific scale while still maintaining reconziablity. Corvettes are really ugly at this scale. They would look something like this: Have a great day, Christopher -
Hello! Really a great sculpture! The glowing eyes are so characteristic, as they're the first thing you see of the Jawa in the movie. I could imagine a night time shot of your sculpture would also look brilliant. The smoking blaster is a nice detail, too, and the use of the log bricks does a perfect job for the robe. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello everybody! Expanding the recently launched MIDI model line, there are 6 Rebel capital ships new today. As it's still relatively new, here are (once) again the rules: The Imperial Star Destroyer is 1600 meters long, and the official MIDI ISD by LEGO® is 31 studs in length, this gives a scale where 1 studs equals 50 meters (it would be exact if set 8099 was 32 studs, but it is still a very accurate approximation). All ships presented below (images are links to the corresponding full galleries) are to scale with the Imperial Midi Star Destroyer. -------------------- Let's start with the Star Destroyers main opponents: the 1200 meter long (converts to 24 studs) long Mon Calamari MC80 Star Cruisers. Every MonCal cruiser is unique, which means that there are no two identical ships. They all feature their unique organic look. Presented below are three representants, starting with the winged "Liberty", destroyed by the Death Star superlaser in "Return of the Jedi". -------------------- Also seen during the Battle of Endor in "Return of the Jedi" is a wingless version similar to the Liberty. -------------------- Several Expanded Universe sources also have MonCal cruiser, sometimes referred to as MC80a. As already said, there are countless unique designs. -------------------- Another main capital ship of the Rebel Alliance fleet is the so-called Assault Frigate, originally a Dreadnaught Heavy Cruiser converted by Rebel technicians. The heavy frigate measures 700 meters (converts to 14 studs). You can still see the similarities to the former cruiser in the design. -------------------- The most popular frigate of the Rebel Fleet is probably the Nebulon-B Escort frigate. Although originally an Imperial vessel, several found their way into the Rebels' hands. The medical frigate "Redemption" seen in "The Empire Strikes Back" is one of the most famous ships of its kind. They are 300 meters in length (equals 6 studs). -------------------- As a special add-on, I'd like to shar the "Flurry" with you, a Quasar-fire Cruiser Carrier from the Expanded Universe, but a well-known ship from there. It's 350 meters in length which converts to 7 studs in Midi scale. -------------------- With that I am done for this week-end! I hope you've enjoyed the Midi models so far. The Imperial vessels can be found here... ... and the Old Republic ships are here. Everyone have a great start into the new week! Cheers, yours Christopher

Hello! A nice garage vignette. The vehicle is missing in the last picture, assuming it has been finished. So am curious to see the converted roadster as well. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! That's a well thought out and designed diorama for the Alien Conquest series. It would have been a perfect addition to the unfortunate small variety of official Alien Conquest sets. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! What a perfect scene! An original idea to boost up the small alien mask into a gargantuan version. Your techniques are brilliant, those modified lime bricks work perfectly to give this wonderful shape. Cheers, ~ Christopher
