Legostein replied to Praiter Yed's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Hello! Those characters are amazingly great! I have seen Escape from New York /L.A. and Logan's Run of coruse! Perfect capture of the movies heroes! Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Hello! All the best for this exciting new chapter of your career! Cheers, ~ Chris

"The damage doesn't look as bad from out here."
Legostein replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hello, and thanks all for the comments! I am glad you like the new scenes. There will be more next week-end. Meanwhile, I wish you all a good start into the new week! Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Hello! A well-designed vignette. All the little spare parts and pieces make it an authentic place, and with Jar-Jar in their middle, it will end up in a desaster. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! The perspective shot worked out well. Just like in the movie. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! I like the scene. Nicely displayed. What I don't like is the use of the smooth plateau Obi-Wan is standing on. You have done such good work on the brick built rock formations, and then use the smoothed raised baseplate, which looks out of place in my opinion. Adding some normal bricks, slopes and wedges should do the same job. I am sure you can do it. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Nice photopgraphy and well designed scene! I'd like to suggest something when you do your final shots. The droid who is hit by the laser bolt. He is just being hit. Thus he can't already lie on the floor. He should rather just be flying through the air in direction of the wall, or (which is more easily to display) heavily bending his torso backwards. I know it's difficult to include movement in a scene, but I am sure you will do fine. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello everybody! Let me invite you to continue our journey through the LEGO Star Wars universe without licensed pieces. This time I have several scenes with our two popular droids: C-3PO and R2-D2. Scenes and figures are pretty simple, but that's not a weakness, but rather one of the advantages of this project: Everyone can easily build it and join the fun of LEGO Star Wars. ---------------------------------------- Scene 6: C-3PO and R2-D2 take an escape pod to get away with the Death Star Plans Scene 9: C-3PO and R2-D2 crash-land on Tatooine Scene 9 (continued): C-3PO travels the Dune Sea and is picked up by a sandcrawler Scene 11: R2-D2 is captured by Jawas ---------------------------------------- That's it for today. Thanks for stepping by! See you around soon! Christopher

Hello! Yes, it's great! I appreciate brick-built creatures! It's fantastic you collected so many appropriate sand green pieces to build this Dewback. Cheers, ~ Christopher
-
Hello! What a lovely scene! The waterfall rounds it up pretty nicely. What I also like is the integration of the rock panels into your cave construction. Well done! Cheers, ~ Christopher
-
Hello! That's an intersting walker construction! Although you don't see any steam and fire, it is a great addition for the steam-punk universe! The tusks are a very nice touch to round up the design. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! It may be pretty red, but it shows what mus be there to make it a reconisable scene. Thus I like it! Cheers, ~ Christopher

MOC: Koruse Dragon Sentinel vs Broqek Battle Bear
Legostein replied to Si-MOCs's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Hello! Ia m very impressed by this huge creation! I very much like the use of the trapezoid flags on the dragon's wings, as well as the rest of the dragon. However, what impresses me most, is the excellent rendering of a spherical cave! Simply fantastic. Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Hello! Quite a nice design. If you changed grey with black, you would have a fabulous working droid for the M:Tron space theme as well. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Let's share our funny interesting photos!
Legostein replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hello! A very funny concept and original idea! The light brown dog looks a bit too cute to be scared of, however. Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Yes, that's the part where I am not completely happy with the model. I didn't find a proper way to scale it down and still being able to attach that, so I just left the original piece there. Oh, I am sure there will be more. It needs some people to spread the idea and then many more people will create more great things with microfigures. It's from set 3850 - Meteor Strike.

Thank you for the comments! I am glad you are enjoying the new project. The torso is infact the backside of a female torso: But I think it works perfectly here. It's very difficult to find neutral robe/tunika-like torsos which are not of a licensed theme.

Hello everybody! The second scene from my recent project is scene 31 from A New Hope where Ben and Luke hire Han and his starship for their flight to Alderaan. The scene setup is the same as before (sorry), just the characters are new. Like before, no licensed pieces are used. This is a purist project. The scene setup The actors: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca (the closest I could come up with for a brick-built wookie ) The next scene will have a different layout, although the cantina scenes are among my most favourite ones. Half of the week is almost done, and soon it's week-end! Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello again! Okay, well, I had many left-over parts of the shopping session for the construction of set 6190. Enough pieces to also do the smaller Aquashark submarine set 6155 - Deep Sea Predator. Maybe it's now time for one of the yellow Aquanaut submersibles. Cheers, ~ Christopher
-
Hello, thank you for the comments! Maybe I should choose some more recent sets as object for minimisation in future... Cheers, ~ Christopher
-
Hello! A nicely designed walker concept. The legs look very agile. Also the photography of your creation is excellent! Cheers, ~ Christopher
-
Thank you everyone for the kind comments! It's been a pleasure building this and it makes me happy when you are happy with it. There are no instructions yet, unfortunately, sorry. I have nothing particularly planned at the moment, but it's quite probable that there will be more at some time. Thanks again all, and see you around! ~ Christopher

Hello! Thank you again for your comments and interest in this new project! You are right, purist minifigures are one important part of this project. I spend indeed a lot of time in finding the right torsos and heads which is not easy. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello everybody! From my ongoing series of space set miniaturisations (see About Me for a summary), I'd like to share the newest micro set with you. This time it's the open cockpit X1 Patrol Craft (set 6861) from the year 1980. The missing of a canpoy, however, gives us the possibility to have extra fun with the new microfigures... Thanks for stepping by! Have a good start into the new week, ~ Christopher

Hello! Another great bike! And this one even has wheels! I pretty much like the windscreen design using a helmet's visor, very clever! Cheers, ~ Christopher
