Thanks mate, picked one up at lunch time there today. No sign of Public Transport there though. Strange that they differ so much in terms of stock on the floor within 10 kms of each other. On another note, toys r us Adelaide had the kingdoms sets minus impulses, advent calendar and large castle. They had the two bigger new atlantis sets, the Portal set looks great and the box is real heavy, although the one I picked up wasn't as heavy as it should be, someone had ripped a hole in the back bigger than the size of my fist, I assume to grab the brilliant portal emperor fig (doesn't really seem like just a naughty little kid doing it). ImagineIf stores have 10% off Lego (I don't believe this applies online though), the city store has a few hard to get sets like AT-OT ($315 after discount), car chase agents sets and maybe some more. Also if you join their loyalty program you get a $20 voucher for every $200 spent. -

It was just several signs in store for myer one members (free to join and can do then and there). -
My least enjoyable build was the Christmas tree for last year's Winter Toy Shop, I really don't enjoy the rubberiness of those large green leaf/branch pieces. Besides that, the rest of the set was great fun to build.

I don't think this has been mentioned yet but Myer one members can get 50% off a second toy purchased. Myer Adelaide didn't have any kingdoms sets out but am I right in thinking someone here mentioned seeing them at at least one Myer or am I confusing that with Big W? Anyway, the offer goes until the 15th. -

And to add to Svelte's detailed response, you'll get your VIP points for shop at home purchases, roughly equivalent to a 5% voucher to spend later I believe. Also prices are up for advent calendars and I believe are available, Kingdoms $39.99, City $29.99 from memory. -

For those in Adelaide looking for any series 1 collectible minifigs, there were almost two full boxes at Toys R Us in the city when I went there after work tonight looking for the new toys r us truck. The good news is they're $2.99, way better than the $4.99 at toyworld in the city. No luck on the 7848 truck though. Also the Harry Potter sets are up on shop at home now, with some pics I haven't seen in such good quality before, but no prices or time of release yet. Apologies for not putting in as proper links but rushing out. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=4842 http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=4841 http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=4840 http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=4738 http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=4737 http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=4736 -

Thanks for that, alepto. While there I noticed they had the new Harry Potter sets available for pre-order and the exciting news is some prices are less than the RRP toyworld were quoting, $180 for Hogwarts castle, $120 for Hogwarts Express, $90 for The Burrow and $15 for Freeing Dobby, hopefully this is full RRP because at 15% off some of these prices are very good. -

Thanks for that news Marvinblue, that sure makes the Public transport station very tempting, and the price seems pretty fair to me for the truck. I've already bought stickers for the lego version to Lego-ify the toys r us truck. -

Yes, I'm aware of that, it's just a curious event, not a computer glitch. I guess there was a chance two MFs were available at the same time, one probably a mini, but I've never seen the same two in a top seller list. Just a bit of trivia. I guess everyone is thinking the motorised version must be on the way out as the new one has arrived. -

Just found "The Lego Book" at Target dring my lunch break, for $40, way cheaper than anywhere else in Aus, and probably less than ordering from amazon once you factor in postage. For those that don't know what I'm talking about, a link is below to it on brickset, includes 2 books in a hard cardboard casing, it definitely places too much emphasis on more recent (2008-09) sets but still worth getting I think. The Lego Book Whoops, jus tnoticed Whittleberry mentioned it, but I can confirm it's $40. Edit Is this a first, the same star wars vehicle/ship being in the top seller list on shop at home twice -

The dragon tower was there? I didn't see that. So tempting, dragon tower and slave 1. Sounds like they're updating continuously. -

Yeah I probably wasn't going to get this anyway unless the price was great as I like my ships swooshable. I've been waiting for another starwarsshop.com sale as they haven't had one for ages, the Tantive IV at their price is quite appealing. Thanks Jamonlego, the info is much appreciated . I was looking for some older agents (2008) or power miners (2009) sets as they're near impossible to come by in Adelaide. And LightingTiger, thanks for the info about the advent calendars. I just have to hope my membership from the myer sale has been processed. Maybe we could split shipping? -

www.legoshop.com And as Svelte said, the percentage difference isn't that surprising, it just seems so much worse with such an expensive set. With shipping it will be close to $500. The disappointing thing is it's difficult to get big exclusives from the US, as you have to go through a third party that will want their cut on top of RRP and pay a lot for shipping. -

Who wants to guess how much the Imperial Shuttle UCS is going to be for Aus buyers (excluding our over the top shipping cost), well it's $260 US, which is a little under $300 AUD, but we get another 50% chucked on top of that, $450! -

Thanks. It's a 5 minute walk away so not a big deal if it turns out to be a waste of time. -

This is a question for all of those in Brisbane. I'll be there on the weekend on the way to Far North Queensland and was wondering what the toyworld in the Myer Centre is like as I'll be staying right near there. Do they have many sets not available at shop at home any more? Thanks -
Maybe those with numbers well above 10000 should just use the last 4 digits.

Nothing in Myer Adelaide as of yesterday lunch time, I'll check again at lunch time but I'm not holding my breath. I think they might be keeping all the star wars in the stock room until next week. -
I concur, and I think either would be brilliant. Hopefully we find out what it is before the HP sets hit the shelves because if the new set is something I want, I'll forego the latest Hogwarts as I have The Prisoner of Azkaban version already.

I reckon I saw the RRP of the mid-scale ISD being $79.99 somewhere, if only I could remember where. With the exception of Hogwarts the HP line is well priced compared to US prices, unless it's not the $200 I've heard (still better value than the latest castle though). Edit: This is where I saw it. RRP looks pretty official to me mid scale ISD -

It looks like Toys R Us are definitely getting the new impulse sets before anyone else. I just saw the wizard and farmer in Adelaide, plenty of each so I'd suggest they just don't have the jester yet. -

I just sent this link to ISC, it shows all the BN codes BN coupons. However they seem to have got wise to the discounts people were getting on Lego as almost all Lego is now excluded from coupon discounts, although if they're in the top 100 sellers of toys they permanently have 10% off. Svelte, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about not being able to use coupons in the last week or so for Lego. Anyway, once the star wars sets are there, they'll be cheaper than you could get in Aus, even at a 20% off sale.
