The complaint was made by the General Secretary of the Turkish Cultural Community in Austria. That's the representitive of the Turkish Cultural Community in Austria, which, to me, is not just a handful of people. I don't believe that all Turkish people in Austria share the opinion of the General Secretary. But the point is that she was able to generate support for her position, and I'm rather sure that this support not only stems from people living in Austria. Since the impact of her complaint can hardly be measured, neither in current numbers nor in future action, I find it too early to decide if "nothing significant came of it". I think that she made an interesting move: if TLC appologizes, it can be read as a confirmation that the Secretary's interpretation was right. If it doesn't, it can be read as a willfully and continued effort to indoctrinate children against Muslims, ignoring all complaints about it. That's what I'd call a win-win strategy. (Actually, the Secretary demands that the toys are withdrawn, which seems pretty unrealistic to me.) Since she complaints about the "shocking red and black devil’s scowl at the top of the box packaging on the right, which is at least an obvious signal that the toy should not lie under the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve" as well, it seems that she wants to generate a broader support for her position. That's the only point that makes me considering the possibility that the link I suggest is a bit tenuous. To me, the major question is whether it is a act of populism, or if she actually believes what she said. @Aanchir: I basically understand and share your initial view: looking unbiased at the whole issue, the accusations seem to stem from a different world. Nevertheless, they were made.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
Brickadeer replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I basically agree. Some arcs could be shortened to give this arc more room. It doesn't make much sense to me to give each arc four episodes. -
I don't find hilarious, I find it alarming. The protest is directed against TLC, a company located in Denmark, the country, where the so-called "Mohammed caricatures" were published a few years ago. Whether or not this protest has to be read in this larger context, it won't exactly further peacefull coexistence of different cultures in Europe.

Currently, the drop rate in dungeons is strongly improved (probably for a limited time, though). In UT, monsters are dropping t8/4 items/skills relatively often (= way more than gods in godlands). I don't know though what drops in more difficult dungeons. Does anyone know? edit: Finally learnt that changing the cursor is pretty simple. Currently, I'm using this one for RotMG: http://www.rw-designer.com/cursor-detail/27070

Release 10: Let's try this again Submitted by msellers on Thu, 01/24/2013 - 22:30 Tonight we've taken the unusual step of doing a new release just three days after our previous one. This is unusual for something that's not just a hotfix, but we felt (and I'm sure most of you will agree) that this was needed. What's new in Release 10: Potions have returned to the godlands! They now drop from all the monsters that used to drop them. Drop rates of potions within dungeons have been increased. In particular we have made defense potions a little easier to get. Dungeon drop rates in the godlands have been reduced somewhat, but not to their former levels. Drop rates of loot items in dungeons (especially rare and UT items) have been significantly increased. (Rare pets in dungeons are still really rare.) Edited to add: UTs are still very, very rare. They're just not as insanely rare as they were before. And as you know, if they become too easy to get, we'll dial them back down again. The Nexus Crier is back! Now with new, helpful, and informative things to tell you. Behind-the-scenes work on Fame and some other things we're working on. Bug Fixes: The "interact key" will no longer send you someplace you didn't want to go. There is an edgecase involving the Cloth Bazaar that we're aware of and are working to fix. remm edit: false. Go from the vault directly to the guild hall. Your interact key will now be broken Clicking "Play" no longer defaults chosen character to a Wizard on the Loading screen / Skin selection modal Tab feature now functions correctly in the registration modal New characters no longer have a Health Potion occupying an inventory slot Character names are no longer cut off in the list of nearby players Ninja class now displays class unlock requirements Package icon display properly in the realms Why we did this As we've said many times, we're going to try a lot of new things with Realm, and not all of them are going to work. This was definitely one of those times. Not only has the response to our changes to the way that the godlands and dungeons work been loud and clear, it's also clear from overall player behavior that this was not popular or effective for the game. So, we've changed things back, mostly, while still trying to move toward the goals we have for making the game less grindy, less intimidating (but still highly skill-based), and more focused on playing lots of characters rather than playing just one. We may make further changes to the godlands, dungeons, drops, etc., as part of introducing new features. But as always, if it doesn't work, we won't keep it. We're all about making the game better, not about sticking to our ideas right or wrong. FWIW, a lot of the input from you all over the past three days has been informative and helpful in our evaluation of this change (other input was... not so helpful). To those of you who were civil, even if passionate and opinionated, thank you. We do listen (even if there is no way for us to respond to every post, comment, and private message), and saying things that help us see other points of view is very helpful.

I think you're basically right. Currently, I find SP and UT terribly easy, but then again, I can't do them fast, I'm 4/8 and they only get me SPD and WIS. As for the Sprite World, I really need someone who teaches me how to do it ATT and DEF occansionally drop from Oryx. As for new players, I can't even imagine how they are supposed to get stat pots at a reasonably pace.
-
For me, even that wouldn't be necessary. Rather, it'd be nice if they'd choose the 2 figs with "army building potential". E.g. 75001 would be more attractive to me if it'd contain 3 clones (Sgt., 2 Troopers, 1 Droideka) rather than 2 Droidekas. With regards to variety, nothing would have changed. However, TLC seems to work on the (additional) premise that a battle pack has to contain 2 figs of each faction.

No, I think there are dropping way too many pets. Practically everyone has one, now (made two UT-runs, got a "Lil' Ghost" pet in each run). The problem is that the pets are drawing way too much attention when playing. The second problem is that once I activated a pet, there's no way of getting rid of it...

No, everything is fine to me. Yesterday, the loading time took very long generally (+1 min. before arriving Nexus), but you particular problem doesn't occur to me.

Can anyone tell me if it makes a recognizeable difference (killspeed-wise) if I use the t10 or the t12 staff?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
Brickadeer replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, I found the rabbit droid incredibly cute, maybe even cuter than the Wookie youngling And the droids hiding in the shuttle - that was soooooo sweeeeet I find the arcs too long as well - basically, because I have to wait 4 weeks until I see something new. Especially, since the whole season seems to consist of 4-episodes-arcs. -
I know what you mean. "Confusion" is one of the few skills that doesn't affect the character only, but the player as well.
-
I know what you mean Today, I ended up with finishing o1 together with another guy, it was only the two of us. Then he said, "Hey, what about a WC?", and opened the portal. We cleaned the way to o2, but unfortunately, after some time, I had to Nexus (confused, running against a wall, minions approaching). The guy finished o2 (took him some time), but ended up with 4 pots only.
-
Pitty. Got to o1, but everyone left. I got him down from 58k to 38k, but then I had to leave (took like almost forever anyway).
-
Well, actually it was more than just one, but yes, the Sorc was lucky. I prefer the Necro for everything but o2, and he is the one that drops nicely, which makes me wonder if I shouldn't make a Sorc rather than a Nec. On the other hand, people rush to o2 so quickly that I can't follow anyway. I need a character with maxed speed to rush him, right?
-
If I remember correctly, I got Astral, Cosmic (2x), Elder (2x), and I should have 1 or 2 Exa HP as well. Somewhere. I rolled a 592 Nec, so I think I won't store potions but rather start maxing. Hate muling anyway.
-
Hmmm right now, I got +64 Spd/Att/Def each and a couple of other pots, so maybe I should make a 3/8 or 4/8 and finally start to use this Cosmic-Staff.
-
Thanks. So far, I got a few pots and died a few times. What I find is that it seems harder to make Oryx drop.
-
RIP :( That's why I prefer to play unmaxed t8/9 characters :) That requires much more mules, though... Is there anything I can do with fame btw? Found out that my mule now has a soulbound ammy of zombification...
-
Ouch...RIP :(

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

I'm rather sure they didn't. At least that's true for Tarkin and the Imperial Troopers. -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
Brickadeer replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Thanks. I initially assumed he means Ventress, but considering that Filoni announced that this would be a "big season" for Ahsoka, it makes more sense that Yoda refers to her rather than to Ventress. Well then, I'll wait and watch -

I don't quite understand Yoda at the end. Bring back this - what? -
They could include the Geonosian guy who hands over the plans of the Death Star to Dooku ;)
