Technivor replied to Technivor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi guys! Today I have finish my 8x8 dump truck! The reason why it takes so long is that I’ve started another project for the TC10 one or two weeks ago so the Cat has been put on a break, but now I’ve been able to complete it, so lets the photos talk: Battery access: Tipping bed operator: Spare tire and ladder access: An a bonus: an engine crane In action: A video will come but not before a month because I have to move for my studies so it will take a moment to make this video. Here is my truck ready for the travel So a always if you have a comment or if you ave a question don't forget to post. Have a good day!- 20 replies

Hi everyone, I am pleased today to present you the latest changes to my Caterpillar Ct660: the most important being is that I managed to pass the frame with single propulsion from Ingmar (2legoornot2lego) to a 6x6 chassis! It took me a while to get there, but I ended up doing it by completely redesigning the rear axles. The second change is the addition of a dump bed, which was not at all clear but has been greatly facilitated by the new configuration of the rear axles. For my truck I was inspired by Ingmar's trucks and thanks to him because this is the first time I am able to keep one of my moc as long (for 9 months). Normally they stay nearly 3 to 4 months assembled! Functions Steering done by a servo-motor connected with two universal joints to the front axle; Propulsion: motor-XL> 12t / 20t-> 12t / 20t / differential; LA (tipper): m-motor-> 8t / 24t-> LA The bucket is operated by a switch hidden in a control panel: For the aesthetics of the dump I opted for something simple, that is to say, square edges. And visually, it goes well with the design of the truck. Here are more photos: Fo now I'm petty satisfied with the result of my truck Feel free to ask questions and give feedback. On this good day to all!

Technivor replied to Technivor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi, after two month I have practically finish the cab of my truck. I've change the older frame for a better one. The motors are placed closer to the rear axles for better torque. Here are somes pictures of the truck: This time I was able to put a floor under the seats. Here's the truck beside another of my moc, a volvo l350f Thank you for taking the time to read. All comments are wellcome! -

Doc_Brown, if you watch some others photos you will see that some Hoods are less curved. And yes Oliver, it is a spare Wheel! -
Hi guys, I start this new topic to show you my caterpillar truck in his final form. It took me about five months to finish it! It's powered by one BB, two XL motors and one m motor for steering. The frame is based on Ingmar's mack granite frame but only the rear part. I've changed the front because off the hood's attaches that limits me. The cab, Hood and bumper are all removable. Here's some photos of the truck: Thanks for reading! Do not hesitate to comment!

I have finished my model on LDD, and I have around 700 pièces. I will start my B-model today after I disassembled my model. Edit: I have finishe my B-model. I have changed my idea about a sandvik DD2710 for an articulated dump truck but with a flatbed instead of the dump bed.
