Sideline Scenes: Rules & Discussion
Corvus replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It looks great to me, but some more pictures would be great. -
Oh, I don't know. The arms were annoying, sure, but I love the torsos.

How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?
Corvus replied to kill will's topic in Culture & Multimedia
The problem is that they can't make him any more apathetic towards the council than he was in Episode 3. If they hadn't made episode 3 yet, they could have simply made him be a jerk toward the council from the start... but they can't. So there's not much they can really do. Therefore, I reccomend that they avoid altogether, since all the episodes without him have been good. -

Hey, Brickster! And you said mine was big? Nice one, Sir Dillon! But it will still be squished. -
I'm really undecided. Some years had one or two amazing sets, and others had all good ones. I'm going to have to say 2008, mostly because of that Death Star.
-
The best new theme by far was Agents for me. The new parts set it way ahead of the others. The best theme overall was a close tie between Agents and Star Wars. Star Wars won out for me because TLC finally went into the sets we've been asking for for years, like the Gunship, V-19, and the clones and their kamas. And last but definitely not least... The Death Star.

TLC hasn't been doing so good making heroes recently, either. I've snapped up all the Barraki and Makuta, because they've been so cool and intimidating and each one was different. The Toa, though... In 2008, I only bought Pohatu. Despite TLC stopping the whole 'clone' issue with the villains, the good guys have gotten more repetative year after year. The same torso designs, the same arm pieces, same everything. They used to have new torso, arm, and leg pieces every year... Now they don't.

Review: 8960 Power Miners ~ Thunder Driller (Photos!)
Corvus replied to Dr Lucky's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yay! Review! I'm loving the guys and the monsters. The TNT is a good touch, too. I don't like the vehicles, though (except for the biggest one....of course), so I'll stick to the little sets. -
The set's looking better, but the box art is totally uninspiring. It's a small picture of the set on this huge box. Ugh. Count Dooku looks great, though.

Thanks! It was designed after one. It's not that big...Not small, but not huge. It doesn't eat pizza...just the metal and plastic of other snow boxes. Yours is organic- it should be good. -
Yes, let's! *Indiana Jones theme starts and I put my iPod back in my pocket* What? He's awesome and he's a History teacher just like me!

Shh- he forgot to take his shades off. But you will all be shot or bashed to death by mine! It will destroy conquer all!! -
Make way for: The Basilisk Snow Droid! Feeling that they needed to conquer in something other than war, the Mandalorian army built the Basilisk Snow Droid, modeled closely from the Basilisk War Droid. Heavily armed, the Snow Droid can lower its head to blast enemies out of its way with repeating blaster cannons! Flexible arms serve as both tracks and war clubs! Fearing its awesomness, the Snow Droid has been banned from many Snow Box competitions- whose planets were promptly destroyed/conquered by the Mandalorians. Fear us!! (More pics here.)

Maybe it should have been a toilet... Very nice. Why 'amateur'? Being a Fellow by no means makes you a good builder- look at me! Dragonator: Anyway, now that I'm done pestering you, nice job! The fire is good (if cheating!) and the sleds are very clever. White Fang: Very pointy. -

Mine's almost done- just a little more nitpicking. No knowing how long that'll take, though. Now, should I put the blasters here, or there? Hmm... -

Yeah, he is too goody-goody. He needs to kill someone, or several someones. Preferably Jar-Jar. -

Not even Duct Tape? -
Hmm, I think I'd like to move the big chair to see if there's anything underneath it.

*Looks at the suit of armor* WOW! This place is amazing! Everything here is in such good shape! No decay, no dulling, and so beautiful! !4th century- suit of armor from the Royal Elite guards, who protected the King and his Councillors at all times. Amazing!

I don't mind a speeder in the AAT. IT makes it so much easier to simply take it out and MOD it. Poor commanderbly42.

Hmm. It doesn't really fit the Solar Sailer, but if I view it as another, completely different ship, I like it. To be honest, I can't make out much of an interior. I'm not sure how high that 'ceiling' is, and there seems to be a bunch of stuff in the way. I guess I'll have to wait for a review or get it myself.
