I´ve been there a couple of times, it´s a cool place. The purpose of that vault, because there is more of them, is to be a place for the legal department people to pull out old sets. The reason is to be able to prove that a certain design on a set, a certain part design and so on was originally made by LEGO in a certain year. So if there is a design by another company that they think is a trademark/copyright intrussion they get the phony set and then go down and pull out a original LEGO one. That is then opened if needed and the process in court or settlement can continue. So this vault is not for historical reasons, it´s for protecting the brand. How to get there? Well there are some ways: A break-in (not recommended) Invitation by someone with acces The Inside Tour sometimes goes there It is a great feeling to be able to touch all the old classics. Here´s a picture from 2006 when we were there: EB member Snefroe holds the set, Ras aims for one in the bottom shelf and DoubleT is just super happy!

Spring is in the air, and what better thing to do than to start shipping out the prizes to the winners of the EB SW Xmas Raffle 2012 ! I´m very sorry for the delay but it has been outside my reach and something that kind of comes with the territory for such a massive giveaway. 363 Star Wars minifigs are now starting their journeys all over the world. So for a recap - check out the rules, entries and winners here and here!

Nice interview ! It´s good to get an insight on how the LCP´s in general go about their job. I think there´s room for more of them around the world, it will be interesting to follow the increase in the years to come. As for Dirk, he´s a super nice and highly intellegent guy. I had the pleasure to spend two days with him and some other great persons (AFOL´s) two weeks ago and we had a blast. I think he speaks about every language there is (or at least a bunch of them ). And he looks ok as a minifig also: Here you can see the whole list of LCP´s!

Nice picture! There are some that you can see in Billund, in the Museum and the factory during guided tours. There were a fully functional moulding machine making red 2x4 bricks in Copenhagen at Lego World last weekend. When the employee handed out the bricks they were still warm! Here's an article from CNET with some nice pictures and text !

I´m building it now. Just finished the ground floor and now on to the middle one. Am I that stupid or is there something fishy in the steps shown here ? Ok, so first one 2x12 and one 1x6 dbg plate. Then one 4x6 tan plate. And in step 3 another 4x6 tan plate - that´s it ?!
