Any news about Eurobricks Event in Günzburg May 2013?
CopMike replied to Legogal's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Hi! We're still in the planning/discussion phase so we'll be back as soon as anything is decided ! -
Great review yet again Rufus! I had to look up the building also because I didn't know anything about it. Just shows my ignorance to great architecture around the world ! As you have concluded it seems an ordinary build with a macaroni&cheese assortment of parts. But that's expected so I think it's a really good rendering of the real building ! And it will look nice together with all the rest models in the series. The last remark I'll make is that I just LOVE that TLG puts in so much effort and information in the instructions - they're always interesting to read through again after the build is done! So of course I'll have to get this set also !

Isn´t by weight at the shop in Billund? I think you mean the Brand Store in Copenhagen when mentioning cups?

Nicely excecuted scene there CB ! Clean look, good design and really good pictures ! Maybe a bit small ring but I guess the technic axle is a 12, 16 might have been to much. I´m looking forward to see this continuing to grow !

REVIEW: 8833 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 8
CopMike replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Either you haven't read the review or haven't seen snow in real life ? A snowboarder has ONE snowboard that she/he stand on, a skier has TWO skiis, usually called a pair of skiis. -

REVIEW: 8833 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 8
CopMike replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
WhiteFang - Excellent review yet again ! You truly make the best CMF reviews on the small invention called Internet! Well done! And congrats to your 100th review - I can just imagine the time & effort that this have taken over 4 years ! To start in the end I must say that I also get butterflyes in my stomach just seeing the amount of CMF that TLG has released ! 128 so far and to have them all put together in one picture shows what I think is the strenght that we quite often fail to see and understand. A series can be ruled "Not so good" by us Afol´s because all the figs doesn´t have what you so rightly described as the WOW-factor. But put them together and you´ll see that there are counterpart minifigs - like Black Evil Robot vs. Silver Good Robot, then the strenght really comes into play. I´m not in a position to tell people what they should think about the CMF´s overall or indiviual figs but I want to make a list of what I consider is the core values about CMF´s : So far 128 different ones that would have taken decades to release through ordinare sets. The design/professions of a lot of the figs would never never never been produced if not for the CMF line. The wide assortment of different designs/professions together with the semi-repeating of them, as mentioned above with the Robots makes it a goldmine for Moc´ing and adding detail to any theme & set produced. The price - even without the barcode system (touch and feel method instead) - the price for a special figure is really really affordable compared to buying a set to get the fig. Before you basicly had to get sets like 8401, really old Castle ones, service packs and others to get minifigs (Yeah I know there´s more, just some examples!). And those are basicly the same looking ones that we already had. Some minifigs makes a comeback, like the Forestman. Last seen in 1996 in sets, and then in 2009 in the Collectable minifig set. Now you could get one, two, three ... pretty easy! I could make the list longer but you get the picture ! The end this rampage of text I only have two things to say: - Some things about the quality isn´t the best, like the pinkish white! I agree with all of you there, but ..... - Again - minifigs that never would have been made are coming out in plethora at affordable prices. To me that seals the deal ! -
Sweden has the same spelling as Denmark actually - TOBAK ! The religion is still a very important part when it comes to TLG, in more than one way.

Yes, both 40020 and 40021 is from last year. And yes again - 40032 is for 2012 - not next year 2013 like the thread suggests - Edit Process Engaged!

I think that when the kid writes comments like "I didn't use the clone feature when I did this" then they do know better! -

Sad and common that young kids can´t stop themself from doing this! As an original creator the watermarking/signature on the pictures is the only way to fight back. -
Interesting! I just wonder what Every set means every set means. For example has the original X-wing been released in two editions: and To me that´s two different sets of the same model. Or maybe I´m just to picky !
