Rant ON Ok, just my opinion - two days ago we didn't know that the UCS X-wing would come. So far most comments are on how bad it is to re-release it/the design etc etc. I honestly think that it's better to now have the choice to buy it, to buy it and modify it or not to buy it - than to have none of those choices. So maybe it is a good thing and not basicly the end of the world? And for the design of it......... The designer has put in lots & lots of research into this, so much that there is a story to tell just about that. I'm sure there are builders out here that are good as well, and I'd like to see those modifications later on. But I also have a problem finding ONE exact drawing/desctription/model on how the "real" X-wing looks like. So just maybe it's a pretty good design taking into account that it's a toy from a company that has a business to run and is under licensence from Lucas! Rant OFF

Swooshed it a couple of hours ago. It looks good, well designed and interesting techniuqes. Some new parts, like the cockpit and a techic looking part at the end of the engines. Sadly to say there are stickers instead of printed parts, especially hard on the cockpit. It had some bubbles (of course it depends on how good you are to apply them) and it gives a non-clear glas look. The wings can be moved into X-position with turning of a dish thingy and the upper left wing is connected to the lower right one, and the other way around. But overall my first hands on thoughts are positive. I'll get one a least!

Lots of fun for all is coming - great to see so many eager members ! I´ll fly in to Munich on wednesday, touchdown at 4.15 pm. Anyone else about the same time to ride together with to Günzburg ? -
Hi all! I almost have everything, just missing five parts. Of course they are from a minifig from each prize catagory (1,2 and 3) so all have to wait it out. I´d say I´ll have them in about a week and then I´ll start shipping out. I will post here when the prizes are starting their trip abroad! Thanks for your patience !

MOC: The House of Literature - Fredrikstad
CopMike replied to HenrikLego's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Nice one indeed HenrikLego! It really has the Architecture line feel to it! Nice size and overall look but I agree with that the windows prefereable should be even to the wall. One solution, but expensive, could be to use the Trans-Clear Slope, Inverted 45 2 x 1 - http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=658&colorID=12. But again, all clean, nice looking Architecture MOC! -

Yet another truly beatiful Moc Selander ! It really looks like the original, and I like the techniques you´ve used. Well done! -
Great macro Moc ! I specially like the large roe ! Which part did you use? One question though - what are you hiding in the background behind the Photoshopped hinged panel?
-
I agree with that, and TLG outsorce these things also to China. Think CMF and all their special parts.

Collectable Minifigure Sightings & Availability
CopMike replied to mo123567's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Bought some today in Dublin Ireland. The really cool thing was that they had a large (like 80 cm high and maybe 50 cm wide) series 9 minifig bag in the store window. It was a perfect replica of the small ones but had two grommets, one near each upper corner. The store personal said they used to get that together with the boxes from TLG. The previous ones were already given away and I couldn't get this one.
