1. In the 6th photo there is a direct view into the back of the car. Looks like some kind of large grey enclosed block. I don't recognize it. Doesn't look like existing PF enclosures. Maybe battery/control?
2. Has anyone noticed the classic yellow steering gears behind the driver's seat? Why would that be there? I see no obvious place for a HOG back there. A flat 6 boxer is not going to have its cylinders visible so why not put some PF parts in there and model around them to make them look more realistic. My guess at this point is PF for steering, lights, some other automated function. Given the detail level and cost I'm betting 2500 pieces, simple PF, and a nice book about the Porsche akin to the Architecture set only available in the USA. It really feels like a fantastic show piece model for a shelf by your desk. Has anyone else noticed how the speed champion sets have high price to part ratios?
3. I was just thinking that. Many black parts seem to have slight imperfections, but it could also be because the photos are close-ups and with bright lights so imperfections are easy to see. It is certainly possible that for a secretive collector's model lego might mock the set in black, but that would be a first I think. Historically any leaked or partial builds have been in the final colour.
4. Did the presenter say sewage pump as a B model?
5. I can barely make it out, but at 1:45 in the Claas is the tire size 107 x 44?
6. As noted by another earlier, the new panels are black. Why would TLG make black panels that will never be sold? Maybe what they will release is the shell that we see with as of yet unknown remote control. Probably intended to look like this ultimate street legal trim: If TLG were to include all of the stickers we see I may just put them on for the first time.
7. I'm excited about this roller coaster myself. Not because it is a friends set, but because the track is 4 stud spacing, not 6, so a narrow gauge track is again in a current set. This will be the first narrow gauge train set that is a complete loop. The alien mothership is a complete loop, but hardly a train set. I can only hope, but I do hope that there will be some nicely modeled narrow gauge engines/sets in the future. Now we just need some switches.
8. I have vivid memories as a kid of the 8865 set and thinking how awesome it and technic was for being able to build such an awesome model. Later the 8880 came out and blew me away. Too young to finance it myself and unable to convince my parents of my need I got the technic go kart 8842 and loved every second of it. Later I got the 8868, another awesome set. Still, I have always wished for another super car technic set that makes me feel the same way that the 8880 set did when I first saw it, this 911 is shaping up to be that set for me. I'm so excited to find out what tricks it has up its sleeve.
9. Thank you. I saw your MOC, loved the changes. The 2x Santa's Visit was kinda of a fluque. I'm more interested in other seasonal set combinations, not just the santa. Hopefully people show their creations of other sets and don't confuse the two topics as the same.
10. Nice! I had a similar idea: https://drive.google...p=sharing
11. I was having fun making a bigger seasonal set by combining two of the same set when I got the idea to see what others are making. The rules are simple, any combination of seasonal 2015 sets such as the train, Santa's Visit, Winter Fun, etc. I can't possibly be the only one with two Santa's Visit so let's all see what has been made. :) Here's my contribution: 2x Santa's Visit and 2x Christmas Train
