  1. Wolf, don't get carried away. If you're going to have a debate, do it calmly. Stuff like that got David banned. I do realize that Viking sets have BIONICLE pieces, and that's the one thing I don't like about them. Still, it's mostly constrained to the monsters, at least. The only exception, of course, being the BIONICLE-style shields used on the fortress. Still, it doesn't look too bad, and in light of the first really good historical theme in a long time, I think we can overlook it.
  2. My my, aren't we picky. :P There really haven't been any Viking BLOCKBUSTERS, but there was Prince Valiant in 1997 and a retelling of Beowulf in 1999.
  3. Thanks, Wolf! I just read a ROTS synopsis as well, and it turns out the clones eventually turn against the Jedi as well. Still, I'll concentrate on Wookies and Clones and Jedi vs. Droids on Kashyyyk for my diorama. :-D
  4. The former. No 4+!
  5. So we have Wookiees, Clones, Jedi, and the droids. Who are the droids affiliated with (Droid Tri-Fighter, battle droids), who are the clones affiliated with, and who's fighting who out of those four?
  6. He was in Canada. But what about Orlego? He's still missing.
  7. $100? Is that in US dollars or Euro dollars? The Castle of Morcia with 632 is US$89.99 at Lego.com, so thats around 200 pieces less and $10 difference. Methinks its going to be a bit more than $100. However! The Castle of Morcia is US$89.99 and At$149.95 at Lego.com! But when $US89.99 is converted to Australia dollars, its only A$115.75 Obviously Lego hasn't acknowledged the Australian dollar has risen in the past couple of years. So they're going to charge me more than its worth in the US! Another good reason for me to go to eBay and not Lego.com. Obviously the Australia dollar fluxates, but not that much they can't update its value on their website to reflect current market value! eBay does it automatically afterall. So I'll assume that the same price disprepancy will exist with this set too. Castle of Morcia has lots and lots of large, specialized pieces. While Vladek's Dark Fortress has a fair amount, there are a lot more smaller pieces. Additionally, LEGO markets Knight's Kingdom to smaller children, mostly, so there probably won't be a large price tag.
  8. It's probably going to be $100, I'll be surprised if it's over that. I'll get one.
  9. Hot damn! We need a PAB in our TRUs! That'd be awesome!
  10. Hey, the walkers are awesome. A lot of the small sets are, this time around. Can't wait to get my hands on the Droid Tri-Fighter.
  11. A gallows would be really cool.
  12. I'm pretty sure it's final.
  13. The sail probably makes it look more Viking-ish.
  14. Like I said before, Royal Knight's Castle is the example of a perfect castle. Give us something like that in the new blays, we'll be all set. I actually think Vladek's Dark Fortress is leaning towards ninja-ish, though, with those large slope pieces. It reminds me of the Flying Fortress.
  15. Astromechs are supposed to stick out. They repair the ship and all. And no, you didn't hijack the thread! :P
  16. It seems quite pointless on Captain Kragg's Craft without a sail attached to it. It serves no other function but to place the diminuative Scorpion Figurehead and take up more space! Yeah, I miss the old pirate sails that were actually strung up and worked. And made sense.
  17. At least it doesn't have an abysmal piece count like some castles we could name. Realizing that high-piece high-price castles sell well might put them on to making more, perhaps a nice gray one.
  18. Well, he did say it was a skeleton Viking ship, so I'd say Viking could be a safe assumption.
  19. Does it have to be a ship? Skull Island is pretty cool.
  20. Royal Knight's is my favorite (first large LEGO for me, that and the Red Beard Runner), and it's superior to any castle since then. Still, this is a step in the right direction. Maybe not a leap, but they're getting there.
  21. I don't know about Legends - they use the old colors. I'd prefer a new line of each.
  22. I'm sure there are quite a few adaptation of Beowulf as well, and the men there are Vikings.
  23. Pick it up? Where?
