I'd assume that since everything seems to be Ep. III (otherwise they'd do Luke instead of Chewie or something) that Obi is his ROTS version. But, I could be wrong!

I don't buy the 'it's-not-good-because-it-doesn't-fit' argument. It's meant to be in a mine. If you have a problem with that, don't buy it! :P

I always liked Forbidden Cove as well.

I think that the 'new' KK2 set is an alternate model, and that the 'new' Viking set with the dragon is an alternate model for the Catapult set - the site even lists it as Catapult, but does that look like a catapult? I think not! Besides, the pieces used for the 'reins' are part of the mechanism to fire the catapult - LEGO wouldn't do something that crappy for reins. EDIT: After looking at it, the KK2 set does not appear to be an alt model. Wow, how horrible.

I might point out that there is a noticable difference between Exploriens, a generally good line with some great parts, and Jack Stone. Juniorization really started when LEGO started trying to dumb down their sets for children. Before, they were just trying to provide us with new parts.

Since the sets are made for the movies, not the books, that's the general idea.

Because those that buy them are not the sort of people that resell LEGO pieces. I.e. young preppy girls.

I doubt many Halo fans would buy the LEGO sets, and I doubt many LEGO fans play Halo. Besides, it's just a fad.

Would this be politically correct though? If these designs weren't faithful to the existing buildings some people may be offended. I've noticed Islamic people are very pedantic about their religion and constantly moan when someone doesn't get it right. As long as they get the anatomy of the building right, it would work. I don't think they should try to specify buildings, either - then people might get angry.

Question: if you place them close together, do they knock one another over/pull together? :P

They'll probably release them at the same time in US and Europe. At least... they'd better.

I got lucky. I have like 10 of them. I converted them into BARCs by putting the helmets on clone bodies.
