  1. Well said and 100% agree,@ allenp u seem to be the only person that doesnt like la,s,both are good in there own way but when it comes to real life machine motions la,s will end of.
  2. It's not low voltage cause with new batteries it never done it,maybe it's the new la,s
  3. Mine don't click at the end , why is this? They just stop
  4. Very nice, what is the clicking noise when the arm goes fully extended , is this much power making gears slip?
  5. Very nice,I like the trailer,is there much to building it,or maybe a flatbed the same for the rear of the truck :)
  6. Ye there handy for opening and closing doors ha,hope the new unimog has big changes to live up to 8043. Look also at that digger above it's movements are very bad no at all realistic and moves to fast,8043 just looks and moves more realistic.
  7. This looks really crap to be honest comes know where near even a standard 8043'pneumatics are not suited and way to short,
  8. Has anyone made the crane truck full functional RC machine yet? I havnt built mine yet but I'm just wondering is it set up just to fit motors to drive it and steer it?
  9. Lithiums are great I'm using them now, there cheaper on eBay too, http://cgi.ebay.com/10-NEW-4-Packs-Energizer-Ultimate-Lithium-AA-Batteries-/250749202889?pt=US_Batteries&hash=item3a61d131c9#ht_500wt_922
  10. It is annoying tho,I might disassemble the arm and rebuild again,iv tried swapping around joints but it's still the same,my joints are right beside each other all the time and sometimes it's smooth but if I reverse movement then of dipper arm or bucket both joints seem to meet each other and start clicking ;(
  11. u really need to let go of pneumatics ha, la,s are the new way forward , pneumatics are only useful on very limited models unless they redesign the whole set up as there just to fast when activated and not consistent at all.I like both.anyway back to topic.
  12. I'm still having this problem where my 2 bottom u- joints are hitting each other 50% of the time ,it happens even worse if I use the bucket and centre dipper arm at the same time they click like he'll till I stop one of the movements,iv checked everything over a few times and it's still the same, the 2 bottom shafts also seem to have play in them ,it's very frustrating at this stage as u have to operate it a certain way to stop this noise , anyone shed any light on this ?
  13. Just bought a set of Energizer lithium batteries AA ,works very well now and more amps so more torque, lasts 4-5 times longer as well, more expensive but cheaper in the long run, Cost was more expensive at €12.99 for 6 batteries.8043 is flying it now :)
  14. I agree and I also love my 8043 ,I bought both a few weeks back but still have to built the crane truck yet,I think 8043 looks very well on the rear of 8258 like riens.I'm also considering buying a second 8043 for the b model,I'm glad I bought the truck now because there now all sold out of shops in Ireland lately and I got one of the last on the shelf!
  15. Very nice rien looks very nice, have u any pics of the flatbed u built on the back of the truck as I'd like to do the same for the excavator ,it looks very nice on the rear.
  16. Is it not true that energizer lithium e2 batteries are the best all round, they look good in the graph above too, wonder would they be good in 8043?
  17. As above what's the best around for power/long lasting for me 8043?
  18. I like the B model looks good with the panels too, anyone have this built yet ,must be powerful I'd say!
  19. Happy new year everyone and all the best for 2011 and bring on the unimog ha!
  20. No mine do touch some times cause they are right beside each other, if I work the bucket and centre arm at the same time they hit every time too and make a enoying noise ;(
  21. After doing this mod it's better but I'm having a problem where the 2 bottom univer joint that are beside each other near the bottom of the arm seem to hit each other and makes a clicking sound, anyone else have this too?..
  22. It only moves a small bit while driving maybe 3mm to one side but then stops so it's prob as u said just down to slack in the worm gear,I'm not too worried about it ,I'm very happy with the model ,the centre la is a bit slow out near full extension but that's all,I might oil all the gears now with virgin olive oil, might modify it at some stage but I'm happy at the moment.
  23. Iv just finished my excavator and I have to say I love it , new la,s seem to work well as it's not that slow, only small thing I notice is when I'm rotating the cab/digger my tracks seem to move very slightly some time too, anyone see this problem, also if I drive in a straight line the cab moves slightly as well, anyone notice this as it's very slight?
  24. What are the new 16 tooth gears people are talking about has anyone pics of the new and old,I'm half way through my 8043 built and it's great :)
