Yes I totally agree that both are great in there own ways,with this unimog it looks like the rear bed might tip too,maybe with an La!would be nice to see both in the one set for sure.will it be possible to get the unimog before aug 2011 cause that's a long time to wait ;(

I'm getting the feeling some people on here don't like LA,s but I have to say iv had all the old pneumatic sets years ago and they are really nice but they just are not as accurate as the la,s ,I didn't like la,s at first but I'm starting to really like them now ,and they are very strong for someone that said they wear out ,I like la,s and pneumatics but la,s are more suited to diggers and machinery that needs percision movements,8043 is a class piece of kit everyone has to agree!also 8043 with pneumatics would have been a disaster!

is it possible to still buy the 8878 rechargeable battery? What voltage is it?

Its funny people on here some times,the unimog is a really nice looking set and all people are talking about is its tires and wheels ha,its not a set id buy for parts this is a proper flagship model to enjoy!

U say the arm is slow to lift,i taught the new la,s were faster and smoother no?

I just opened my new 8043 (bought 18dec) and the LA,s have 40X0 ON them so they seem to be the new type,how do i know if the set has updated instructions in it?it has the books and a piece of cardboard in the bag!

How many pieces has the unimog?if the box is same size it sounds good to me :)

They all look very cool i have to say,the unimog looks very nice too and would be nice to have a model like 8868 again,do ye think its the flagship model tho as any of these above dont look like huge sets like 8043 or 8258,i dont think the car is the flagship as cars are never that popular!are these all the 2011 2h sets or could we still see a bigger flagship?

Cant understand why people dont want power functions and dont like remote control,everyone agrees that 8043 is the ultimate working and realistic machine because it has so many functions and gears!

did u just get the 11.1v battery or what other parts had u to change,i wish someone put up a list of stuff for converting to 11.1v

Im also a fan of pneumatics but im starting to prefer la,s simply because there more accurite on diggers etc,pneumatics are not suited for lots of differant things as when u activate them they just go to fast.

is the new actuators any faster than the old ones?

What do people think of the 8265 as iv heard poor reports about it and also is it hard get all the power functions to work on it like above?i think its a nice set and not too expensive ether!

I think its a good idea,will any silcone lubricating oil work and as for oil eating plastic is very unlikely

so u need to upgrade to an XL motors for the excavator to use the 11.1v battery is it?has anyone a list of stuff needed to do this ie battery/XL motor/s etc!does it speed up the functions or just give more power?
