  3. I don't like this set personally , the battery pack looks really bad sticking up on the rear too, get the 8043 excavator u won't regret it!
  4. Anyone know when we might get to see first picturebof the unimog or more details on it's functions,I'm all excited cant for this ;)
  5. Anyone else think this is worth still buying as in the 8265 I'm still in 2 minds as I like 8043 b mole too ;( iv heard the fully remote 8265 isn't a great success!
  6. An other boring car,why do people be so hung up on having a gearbox in a model car.
  7. Looks nice with the la,s too, I really hope the unimog is better than the original 8868
  8. Ye I oiled my la,s on the truck with silicone spray oil.5th wheel should be removed from 8258 and a flat bed put on like the real thing I think.
  9. http://www.google.ie/imgres?imgurl=http://www.ditzj.de/assets/images/scania/lbcball/r480lbc13.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.ditzj.de/html/en/trucks/scania/lbcr480.html&usg=__i7TDlgkLlFzZPrurUaoV8XfIKZA=&h=579&w=750&sz=129&hl=en&start=11&sig2=xFMSWkuFHj0neTyf8B2Ilg&zoom=0&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=aVKXrNKxsuqfpM:&tbnh=109&tbnw=141&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dscania%2Bcrane%2Btruck%2B8x8%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG%26tbs%3Disch:1&ei=4kAuTeDqKIyXhQfwrsiTCg Here's the real deal
  10. The pivot point of the bucket seems to be changed a hole too.
  11. Thanks for the info lads, seems not to many are very impressed by the fully pf rc model tho!
  12. I'm wondering has anyone a full parts list required to make a 8265 fully remote control and maybe instructions to on how to do so,I'm just interested in having a look, even a link will do me so I can see what's to be done. Thanks.
  13. I agree and some on YouTube are way to fast at driving and it's not controllable at all at that speed, the 8265 is still available in Ireland but I think I prefer the 8043-B model and works out cheaper.
  14. I just had to post on this build it was so good,iv just finished my crane truck which I got for Xmas along with my 8043'i have to say it was a good chalenge and took my 3 nights to build which show the amount of parts in it and I also took my time,I'm well impressed as it looks great and all functions work perfectly too,it was a longer build than the excavator for sure but well worth it,I'd recommend it to anyone.
  15. Problem just solved ,one of my u- joints was not fully pushed into place in the grey box beam, felt like it was pushed in but it wasn't fully it was stuck, all sorted now so thanks for the help lads,
  16. Me too and are the two sets I will buy for sure,
  17. Would u not buy an other 8043 ,the b model seems as good as the main model too,I want a fully remote front loader so I'll make the b model from my current excavator first and if I like I'll buy an other 8043 and build an other excavator,I have access to an 8265 but iv heard it's not great, does 8265 not come with PF?
  18. If ur la,s are not screwed donw in line this will happen too
  19. Mine lifts great too with my new energiser 1.5v lithiums, new la,s are great but my set is recent too.
  20. I'm just wondering can other people check there 8043 for the same rubbing of uni- joints that I'm getting ,u notice it some times under normal operation but more so if u operate the bucket and dipper arm at the same time,i think iv heard similar noise on YouTube but can't be sure,it's the 2 u-joints that are beside each other near the grey block on the boom and basically want to know are anyone else,s touching or very near each other, would appreciate it thanks.also them shafts start to move from side to side which makes them even hit worse and click like hell. Any imput would be great as iv checked everything over and all looks ok.
  21. I'm looking to get a front loader next so do I ether get an 8265 and motorize it or buy an other 8043 to build the B model, think the 8043 b might win this ,what does everyone think? Also not sure if I want wheels or tracks!
  22. Ye that's what I taught too, all my other sets clutch slip but that's because the motor is directly onto them.
