  1. There's a wishlist thread for all of the wants. I'd include the link if I knew how. But yeah, I definitely wish there was more focus on the various DC Comics comic-style properties. *cough cough c'mon Deadshot* I certainly wouldn't pass up a Red Son Batman. Earmuff cowl!
  2. It took a three-second Google search to find the image. But to answer your question, based on the prelims, Goblin has a new face. Surprising, seeing how many new prints are just whited-out, including his torso, but yeah, he has a face that is different to either side of the Juniors fig. Three seconds. "Marvel mighty micro lego".
  3. Aye, I've tried a few video game specific sites, but I'm not enough of a gamer to want to join any forums. I have been searching though, I just figured someone here may know, and I'm already a member :) Thanks anyway, I'll check for scrub next time I play.
  4. Nope, sure don't. Though I bought five reindeer on sale last year, strictly for parts. Loved the vignettes.
  5. I'm generally purist, but oh man, that's some sweet gear. I love the slime piece! Thanks for sharing that!
  6. Just joining the chorus. Amazing exterior, mind-boggling interior. So glad I clicked through! All of that gold is just....wow.... Well done. I would hate to see the BrickLink invoices
  7. It seems like the cube is already sold out online? I'm not even finding the product page anymore...
  8. Oh man, these are both wonderful!
  9. Couple of questions: in a few levels, I've seen objects that look breakable, but so far I've been unable. For example, in the Jurassic World adventure world, when clearing a path for the two kids' gyros, there are a couple of trees that block the path, and I can't break 'em. No idea. Also, on the Simpsons main story level, once you get to the power plant, if you go left (requires flight), there's a...container or cabinet of sorts that I also can't open. I'm pretty sure I used super strength on both, to no avail. Thanks!
  10. I absolutely agree with everything you said in the first paragraph. As for the second, I don't expect perfection, but I know what you mean. I DO, however, expect to not be so shockingly jarred and put off by any one aspect. It's true that it probably won't even be visible in the majority of people's displays, including mine, I'm sure, but I have to build it, and I know it's there. I know that's not a great defense, but really, it's my hobby and my opinion, and it doesn't really need defending. That's just how I feel. I feel like I should reiterate that I really like the rest of the model. There are minor issues here and there, as always, and those are ones that I attribute to that whole first paragraph, e.g. piece counts, budgets, profitability, etc., but overall, it's pretty great. I like this designer's work, and I've been waiting for this since day one. Everything about it had me psyched until I saw the back wall. It's true that nothing is universally loved by everyone, and every set has its issues. Usually when I have major problems with a set, I just don't get it. I wanted so badly to want Jokerland, but I didn't care for it enough, so I didn't get it. No big deal. This is the biggest issue I've had with a set which I will still be getting, and it just so happens to be the largest, most expensive set I will own. So yeah, I have more reservations now than I did then. No, because the back was finished. Or less glibly: I get what you mean, but I think your comparison is unfair. I won't get upset looking at the bottom of the HQ either. I will say, though, that one of the coolest parts of the Slave 1 was the attention given to the bottom of the craft. That thing was wicked, and that was just one more aspect of awesomeness.
  11. Ha, I love that era! I'm actually working from home today and I've got Darkwing Duck on in the background. I know it won't happen, just like The Gummi Bears, but I want DW, Gizmo-Duck, and Launchpad McQuack! Whaaaaaaat?? DAMN. Seconded. Ohh-eee-ay, Tail Spin, ohh-eee-ohh, Tail Spin... As for the Mike and Sulley debate, I honestly don't care if they don't get made. I don'l really care for any of the proposed methods of adapting their body types (though the Wookie-style Sulley sounds the best), and even though I loved the movie, there are plenty of other figs I'd rather have over them. That being said, I guess we know (?) that Pixar will be included, and I see them being pretty high on that list, so I won't be at all surprised if they DO get made. As ever, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. But my vote is for d)none of the above "Minifigures D2C". So very, very, very, vague! EDITED to fix "Gummi Beards" typo. Delicious.
  12. Wow....I never even considered that it might NOT be......
  13. For myself, I love the set, with the exception of one quibble. But it's one of the largest quibbles I've had with a set before. Not gonna stop me from getting it, I just thought I'd discuss it with a community of like-minded individuals Ha, okay sure, sign me up for both sides Beautiful. I agree. I know I'm making more of the wall than it warrants, but like I said, this is a first for me where I have had such reservations. I'm not used to it! I'm still incredibly stoked that this is A REAL THING, and I will most likely be getting it. Everybody always throws the "customize and mod" argument out there, but really, it's unfair. Sure, the product encourages and allows creativity, but that's not why I'm buying the set, and people shouldn't give that as a reason for why someone should get over their negative opinions of the way a set is designed. That's the product being sold. Sure, I CAN, but I shouldn't be told I HAVE TO. You know? It's a personal decision, and if you're okay with that, then that's perfectly fine. I'm not. To each his own, but that includes my right to criticize and yet stubbornly not mod it
  14. Sorry, you're right, it doesn't really fit here at all. It was a general comment about a post which that mod made elsewhere. It didn't warrant its own post, so I tacked it onto an unrelated reply. Too much thread-hopping on my end, I guess. Still not-so-patiently waiting for that designer video. For this and the Brick Bank. Any new rumors/info for the release of those?
  15. The thing about the theoretical new arms for the clumsy guy is that it would just make me even more aware of how poseable the regular arms aren't. I'd also rather see new leg molds.
  16. Holy crow, I forgot that was a thing. Straight-up 1x6x5 brick. I don't even think I have any of these. You're right about the Kwik-E-Mart, though the comparison understates the issue. With the Kwik-E-Mart, I didn't give it more than a passing thought, since the color scheme was appropriate. It looked like a finished set. Here, the effect is far more jarring, and not solely due to the part selection. It looks unfinished. As far as I can see, the only reason the color is off is as a sacrifice to maintining the color integrity of the interior. I would have sacrificed the interior column color before the exterior wall, but that's just me. (Or not). I don't generally mod the sets I buy to build, but maybe this will be a first? Or maybe I'll just get over it? I don't know, and I suppose that's why I'm uneasy, since I really dislike that wall. But I guess I won't really know until I see the bricks in front of me. Off to read more about 1x6x5s! P.S. I'm a fan of the new, relaxed policy on leak discussion. It seems perfectly fair and has been quite helpful. Thanks!
  17. Agreed! I like robots! My fave is the clockwork robot, which is currently my keychain as well. Can't wait to see how this one stands out from the other 'bots!
  18. Dude, you're like one of three people that I believe pretty much everything they say on here. I believed you then, I'll believe you next time. Keep on keepin' on.
  19. Fair enough. Though I've seen a few seasons and enjoyed them well enough, I'm not a Whovian, so that's new to me, but I can't imagine that the number "42" has nearly the significance to the DW mythos as it does to the HGttG mythos. I could be wrong, though. That being said, with the number of reported DW references in the game, it seems more plausible that it's a DW reference than a hint to any HGttG inclusions, especially considering that HGttG lacks any sort of iconic visual representation and is hardly on anyone's radar. I love the books though, and I do think Douglas Adams' brand of humor would fit right in with the zaniness of Dimensions. On a semi-related note, I really hope we get some Flintstones and Jetsons packs in the future. Though delightful on their own, it would be kind of a shame if they limited their inclusion to the in-level easter eggs. C'mon, yabba-dabba-do it, LEGO.
  20. AH HA!!! Thanks for the more in-depth info. I didn't know I needed to upgrade 10 times first...or that I could move the selector over and it would tell me exactly that. Dur, I feel dumb On a speculative note, has anyone noticed, in the opening sequence shortly before Lord Vortech shows up, the bricks form a "42" facing away from the camera. The only real pop culture relevance for that number that I'm aware of is the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. If this has been discussed before, I missed it, but if not...thoughts?
  21. I was thinking that I went to the vehicle submenu, but everything was locked. I've been able to upgrade abilities for the build, but not upgrade the build itself. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot. Why do I have to be stuck at work right now? Gaaah. Thanks for the reply, Hulk_Smash, I'm sure I'll be back soon with more questions.
  22. More questions! This may be really basic, but how do I unlock/upgrade my vehicles/gadgets into their alternate forms? Is it just spending studs? Do I have to collect something or do it in the items' respective levels? Do I have to beat story mode first? Questions, questions, questions... Basically I'm having too much fun and in no rush to beat the game, but I would like to be able to blast gold bricks with Benny's upgraded spaceship.....
  23. I have a question. On the Simpsons level of the main mission, I missed out on the Doctor Who/Flintstones bit. How can I get back to Mr Burns' office? I can't seem to find it in the Springfield adventure world. (I haven't beaten the main story yet. Is that relevant, perhaps?) Same goes for the Jetsons bit during the Simpsons Level Pack level. How do I get back to hallucination-ville? This is my first LEGO game, and I gotta say, I'm loving it. It's an awesome mashup of properties I love, in a LEGO format. So cool. I just figured out how to get to Kansas, earlier this evening. Any help on that Simpsons thing would be appreciated. Thanks! Also, I seem to recall some ragging on Aquaman earlier. It's fun to hate on Aquaman sometimes, but I think I'm still gonna pick him up. It should be loads of fun to explore the waters of this game. There's lots of stuff down there! EDIT: Who knew Scooby could hold his breath so long? He can explore underwater, too! EDIT 2: Nevermind, I figured it all out!
  24. C'mon guys, spoiler tags? I'm a few weeks behind. I bet the broken spine would've been a shocking moment. Not anymore...
  25. Pretty much my thoughts exactly. It's like you took the words outta my mouth. Give 'em back! I imagine the subsequent lines will stick with 16 per, but, I mean, really....what do I know? (Answer: Nothing.)
