DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

I agree, someone put it perfectly before saying that the Flash helmet looks designed for a human head rather than a minifigure’s. -

Wasn’t 75936 like $300 with 3000 pieces? Hope the set number was mistaken, if the d2c is still real and separate from these four sets than I’m happy to have more. My speculation: 75934: if not a Raptor or Pachycephalosaur recolor, then Gallimimus. 75935: The Baryonyx bunker scene or a vehicle to capture it. 75936: Triceratops in either the JP1 scene or with a FK vehicle, possibly yet less likely Sinoceratops. 75937: Rexy breakout in JP1, I just have a feeling we’re getting a T. Rex this wave and I’m hoping it’s this. -

I’d guess blue shirt Ellie, Hammond, Muldoon, Nedry, Wu, Ray Arnold, with maybe Gennaro, Gerry Harding and a repeat of Alan Grant. I'm thinking a speculative T Rex set would have Malcolm and Gennaro without their coats, and repeats of the kids. -

The only inaccurate thing about this Margot Robbie Harley is she’s got dark red boots. She actually wears white shoes in the film. I love Margot’s Harley but I feel kind of sad Slater’s TLBM Harley was replaced in the LEGO movieverse. -

Plus I’d rather have something large that’s also more unique and iconic to the franchise like a brachiosaurus or a mosasaurus before yet another large theropod. Baryonyx at least would bring another medium carnivore to the table. -

It’s the indoraptor body, not the indominus. And now I’m kinda worried because I’m pretty sure they also reused the indoraptor legs. Hopefully if the Baryonyx is released it gets legs without sickle claws. I’m kinda doubting the three sets next year will involve TLW or especially JP3. The d2c has to be JP, and I’m thinking the Baryonyx means at least one FK set. -

There’s a new animated prequel called the Secret Exhibit, and it has a movie accurate Baryonyx in it that looks like it could very well be an actual figure by reusing indoraptor parts. -
[REVIEW] 5005255 - Jurassic World Minifigures (Bricktober 2018)
vstat05 replied to kaelthas's topic in LEGO Licensed
Owen's variant is nice and his faces are growing on me, and though Claire feels like they were obligated to include her character its an outfit that'd go nicely in the manor set. Baby Blue should've been baby Delta, Echo and Charlie, three new baby raptors in different colors and prints would've made up for a fourth figure. Ian Malcolm's hairpiece is not a good choice IMO, like better choices would've been the ones used by Owen, Stark, or Bruce Wayne. Great, now I'm starting to notice that on Ian, especially since Owen right there has his belt printed on his hips.- 20 replies

It's a pretty perfect figure, just needs red eyes is all. Yeah those silver parts are on the sides of his legs anyway. The animated movies just over-detail the figures. -

Looks legit. I just don’t get what this design is supposed to be, navy blue with a normal blue stripe design that looks like a bunch of pointy “S”s and only one side of its face has a pattern. None of the raptors have ever looked like this. Maybe it’s from the Lego Movie 2? -

I wonder if this year will be like 2014, where Marvel got nine sets while DC only got four, all focused on Batman. That was the worst year for DC. -

Welp, I’d rather have flannel Owen. I was really hoping it’d be Lowery. -

All that’s left for Owen is his white henley from JW or his flannel from FK. Anyway, I’m guessing Lowery, Alan in his red flannel and sunglasses, Nedry in his Hawaiian shirt, and maybe Zia without her jacket. -

There's a video of bootlegs of the raptor figures scaled down to only two studs on the back. Other than the horrible printing they look and seem to work fine, even able to stand on a baseplate. Though I doubt Lego would make smaller raptors, it wouldn't be too late as every released movie raptor could use some better prints and color choices, especially Blue. -

I was under the impression that it wasn't supposed to be a coinciding release, and they canceled it because they they didnt want to even indirectly promote an r-rated film. -
I believe so I mean it's not a bad choice actually, but the band with a knot on it sticks out. I'm not sure if I'd prefer it to the Indy fedora.

So a d2c at $250-350 could mean anywhere from 5-19 minifigures. If its the Jurassic Park Visitor Center, they could potentially round out the main cast with just seven: John Hammond, Nedry, Muldoon, Gennaro, Ray Arnold, even Dr. Wu and Gerry Harding. Maybe throw in Ellie in her blue shirt for a variant and Hammond would be the only one to need a new mold for his hat.

So 2 sets and a D2C? I'm excited but if it's mostly going to be Jurassic Park, I kinda doubt we'd get many new dinos. The most demanded stuff would most likely include ones we already have like Dilophosaurus (Jeep), T. Rex (Explorers), and Velociraptors (Visitor Center). Though I can see them including Nedry's jeep and a Dilophosaurus with the speculatative Visitor Center set while throwing in a Triceratops and maybe a Gallimimus, leaving one set open.

Here's the clearer image, love that Owen has his raptor glove printed on his arm. Also Lego corrected themselves on twitter saying only the Harry Potter bricktober pack will be available in Barnes and Nobles. If only, but Nick has black hair and both him and Sarah wore khaki and green on Sorna, and Sarah a brown jacket in San Diego.

Clearer pictures are up on instagram and man, Ian is so perfect all he needs is a different hairpiece and he's good. Even if you don't like the skin tone, lightflesh printing on black is so miscolored it probably would've looked tan anyway, so you could just change the head and hands to light flesh ones I'm glad they chose that variant for Owen as I've been wanting to make a display of the flashback scene, but I'm not too keen on the expression. I'm trying to remember Claire's variant in the film but if it's not accurate it's still a nice civilian outfit. Baby Blue should've been Owen's accessory, and I would've preferred either another variant of Zia or even Alan.

If he's coming I'd kinda prefer an animated series Hatter, who's at normal height and wears a blue outfit and a black hat. We need more main Batman villains in blue. -
Have you seen the ridiculous muscles on these superhero figures? Even Riddler was as buff as Superman in 2012 for some reason. I'm not sure it's masculinity they're against as much as modern gun/war violence, which is why it's a treat to get a tommy gun or Indiana Jones pistol nowadays. I think Joker's tattoos wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for a few of them like the arrow through a robin and a knife stabbing a bat symbol. Even then there are plenty of other outfits that'd be suitable for a figure like the tuxedo or the outfit where he's got a purple coat (with no shirt to show tattoos), Batman tights, and those weird Booster Gold shorts. Both outfits arguably had more screentime than him being shirtless anyway, like Aquaman.

Didn't think we'd ever get a Knightmare Batman, let alone his gun with the obscure detail of a Joker card strapped to it. The detail on him is perfect, they even printed goggles on his cowl too.

That's probably the best Spider-Man figure since the Homecoming sets. Judging by the symbol and the faint blue in the eyes the costume is based on his all new all different appearance. Giant Venom is pretty cool, and the new Venom figure does look better than the last one. I also like what looks like web handcuffs.
