  1. My guess is if they were willing to discontinue the double crossover and the old curves, they are probably not ready to come out with new (or old, technically) pieces either. I would love if they brought back the + crossing and the double crossover, though. I suppose until then that is what Bricklink is for.
  2. There might be a post limit, but if you click your name in the top right and go to settings, it's in there under the Profile tab. EDIT: It's called Change Avatar, hope this is more clear.
  3. Great review. I saw this set the other day. It is the first PM set I've actually considered getting.
  4. It's too bad this isn't in the USA yet. I love some of those minifigs.
  5. Wow. Flippers for shingles? Great thinking there.
  6. Nice find! That boat transport truck looks great.
  7. Household bleach or peroxide? Hydrogen peroxide works wonders on yellowed plastics. Google retrobright for instructions for making a paste, it does work pretty well.
  8. I would have to agree that 16 minifigs per series, and 4+ series per year, is too much. While plenty of AFOLs have a lot of money to spend on LEGO, at $3 or $4 a pack (because EVERYONE is marking these up) x 64 unique minifigs is nearly $300 with tax if you are looking at collecting them all. I can see how this is intended to be like a collectible card game, which also get expensive, but I'd rather have the series in production longer, even if that means the series overlap.
  9. I'm in the USA and it is not working for me. I'm hoping for a free shipping code/promotion soon, though. I live in a state with a store, $10+ in shipping AND taxes is just too much.
  10. I think an old time movie theater with a marquee and those old neon signs (brick built, maybe even with a light brick to light up) would be awesome, as someone else suggested.
  11. That is some expensive gold! I wish I knew what happened to mine. I know I had a few dozen coins, but, much like my chrome lightsabers or wizard hat/glow in the dark wands, they seem to have been lost during my dark ages. :(
  12. NIce job. I especially like the sloped base.
  13. Good choice, sebby. It is a nice set. My only complaint is the lack of an expansion set with more cars. They even give us stickers for additional coaches. What gives?
  14. Great MOC. I wish there was a LDD/LDraw file so I could build one too. At the very least, what part is that for the base? I've never seen it before.
  15. Cool prototypes. I really like this one: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jamesster/Space-Prototypes/2.bmp I managed to pick up Smash N' Grab for $8 (including tax!) due to it being in a damaged box. A great find if I do say. It's worth it for the purple pieces and trans-red visors alone. My SPI minifig lost his years ago, with the spare in this set I can have complete SPI, II, and III officers again, yay!
  16. My girlfriend got me the Emerald Night and a few of the impulse sets in a bag they sell at target (a jet ski and a TS3 army man jeep), as well as a Target LEGO gift card with pieces to build a dog.
  17. Neat. I do agree that it could look a little more 'futuristic', but it is a nice MOC. Perhaps in the year 2300 things will be more steampunk-ish.
  18. Well, after quite a bit of reading to catch up, this set looks pretty neat. There seems to be a trend on actual aliens vs. regular minifigs now, which is okay I guess. I don't know if we are getting new colors or the photos are just off (I would think the latter), but the UFOs and outfits are neat and a bit retro after the old UFOs from when I was growing up. The bubble on top is a nice touch, and looks like an updated version of the one from the Divers theme (PS, how long has the old hinge type with 4 'prongs' been gone? it seems that all of the old hinges have been phased out in favor of the new 'clicking' ones). I wasn't a big fan of SPIII other than the purple. I like the new helmet design, but still wonder why they chose to make the visor non-movable. This theme looks very playful though, which is nice.
  19. Nice. What are you doing for the signs/stickers?
  20. Lovely MOC. I think the patients expression and that gigantic drill add a nice splash of humor to it. I would love to see you expand this out to a modular dentists office. ;)
  21. Great review. I saw this at the local LEGO store but decided against buying due to the high price tag. I love the green bicycle, but had no idea they were worth so much (on Brick Link, at least! $100 for a blue bicycle, yikes!) Thank you for posting this.
  22. I suppose it's possible that they could phase out straight track as well, if the flexible track sells well enough. I wouldn't mind so much if it was a bit more reliable, and less ugly.
  23. Absolutely. I'd love if they did so.
  24. Great review. I've already got about 1/3rd of S3, but probably won't go all the way since I couldn't possibly try to collect every minifig (especially with plans for 3+ series per year). I really enjoy the baseball player and snowboarder (I love skiing so it's nice to give my S2 skiier some company). My only real gripe is a lack of fancier plastics. I'd love to see a liberal use of chrome, or at least the metallic plastic. A samurai with chrome armor would've been awesome. PS, it's strange the samurai in this set is lacking a crest, while the old ones had gold ones. :/
  25. Wow. Great detail. I love the pistons on the XL wheels. An awesome MOC.
