MOD: Pullman "Emerald Belle" Observation Car 10194
Cinderbike replied to AussieJimbo's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Well, there is a windscreen piece that I remember coming in the old Airport sets that has a similar angle to the picture, but inverted. I believe it is also 6-wide, but might be 4-wide. If you SNOTted it upside-down it could work? -
Snazzy and nice SNOT techiniques there.
-
Great 8-wide. Do you have any pictures of the construction of those pivots? Curious to see how those work.
-
Same here, but I'm going to switch it out with a chrome gold visor.
-
GREAT MOC! I love it.
-
I could've sworn the buildings in the background have been posted before in the town forum.
-
Me 3. I would think an Observation car would be more fitting than a caboose. It's too out of place. I LOVE the baggage car and the fold-out ramp, though. Great idea.
-
That is a great recreation of the real thing.
-
Well, sort of. I build MOCs with the LEGO Universe mode, so there's a few pieces in here that I'm having to buy off BrickLink. I'd say 80% of it is available through Design by Me/Pick a Brick, though.

Whoa. What an amazing, awesome MOC. This is in my top 10.

After my Combine Car MOC, I've gone to continue building the rest of Disneyland's trains and rolling stock one-by-one. Next up is the No.1 CK Holliday and it's tender. LDD doesn't have the large train wheels so some liberties had to be taken, but I think you still can tell what they're supposed to be. Up next: The freight cars and the caboose! NOTE: The build is somewhat based on the Toy Story 3 train, which in reality was in fact (for the movie) based on this engine, so it's no surprise I used that as a starting point.

Unnecessary quote of topic and image removed by moderator -TheBrickster. Nice!

Sounds awesome.

This brings back memories. I remember this set when it was new! On a sad note, it is blaringly obvious that the quality of the boxes and manuals has gone down since 1993. You could also argue that about the plastic itself, but I'm not opening that can of worms. Great review.

Trading Collectable Minifigs Series 1, 2 and 3
Cinderbike replied to danim's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Have: Series 3 (all of them) Want: Series 1 - Robot Series 1 - Spaceman (That's it!) PM me for offers. U.S. only, please (international post is expensive, I hope you understand). If you're in Southern California, let me know in the PM and depending on driving I'd be willing to trade in person. -
I love it. Did you mix old brown and new brown? If not that could be another thing to do make it more realistic.
-
Great MOC. Would look great in almost any sci-fi setting, too. And I love the stripes.
-
I would LOVE wider radius curves. I would also like if they brought back the + crossing and the double crossover (roamingstudio, they made one and then discontinued it). Most importantly, I'd love if they added teeth to the inside of the track so we could build inclines and declines, as well as opening the door for official lego bridges (as the Duplo one).

Blackicep8ntball - 2 points brickcitydepot - 2 points Nieks - 1 point No method to my voting, really. Based solely on my opinion.

Guess so. Oh well.
-
Thank you. Time to reverse-engineer this MOC. :)
-
Well, most ~1000 piece sets run about $100-120, but I do agree it seems a tad overpriced compared to other similar piece-count sets.
-
Great MOC. I was expecting to see square trees. Maybe I have seen the Disney version too much.

ASK HERE How to clean your LEGO sets/parts?
Cinderbike replied to jngunsw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
For general cleaning I use Mr. Clean magic erasers. I don't know what they might be called in Europe, but they work great.
