Hi guys. This topic probably have been brought up through the years, but now i bring it up any way. I have now tested, at least 10 of my pneumatic cylinders, to see if, and why they leak. Typically they leak halfway in their movement, and if helped, to either end of their movement, they are not leaking either extracted nor extended. It is only midway they leak. If i move them manually, i can feel, some resistant points when i move the piston. My question to you guys is, if anyone has any experience giving silicone oil, or other kind of grease, to help the leaking problem, and make the movement smoother?

Is it right to refuse to sell a MOC?
BondemandClausen replied to Sariel's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hi Sariel! First i was a bit puzzled to your question, whether you are obliged to sell you MOCs just because someone asks for it. The obvious answer as many others has said is NO! End of discussion But when you wrote that someone is seeking informations about where you live, and is going very far to get that info, i better understand your question above. And that the question has a lot more to it than that. I understand why you are worried, and also frustrated that someone even makes fake profiles on social medias. About your MOC on the Lego Ideas, using your Photo with your brand on it, tells me that this Fellow isn't the brightest lad. Isn't there someone who could trace the facebook profile, and the IP adress for you, so that you could find out who might be stalking you? I don't know what i should advice you to do more than what all the other Guys have adviced you to, except for continuing to build fantastic MOCs, and sharing them with the World. You do a admirely amount of work for the AFOLs, with your MOCS, tricks, ideas and even books. Just keep up that good Work, and better not answer trolls or maniacs that likes to get you wired up in a discussion. I have had several requests for my biggest MOC, the Ropa sugarbeet combiner, and i always gives people the same answers, its not for sale, or you can't afford it. People normally respect it, and i haven't had a cas like yours yet, fortunately :-) Keep up the spirit and the good mood, we are a lot of Guys who supports you and has huge benefits of what you create, and shares with us. Thank You so much for that!! -
Thank you both Legolijntje and Mario. Well yes this is sad news I think that SR-3D replaced a lot of what you found out was replaced by the diamond with question mark. As I tried to open the file in SR-3D, it came with a prompt saying 12 parts couldn't be recognized and if I wanted to continue. I have experienced that prompt before when trying to open files from MlCad, so I didn't take further notice, and accepted.... And that was it. I don't know where to seek for the file history you mention Legolijntje. That would be my last chance then. Thanks a lot for your efforts, I appreciate it! Let that be a warning for LDD rookies like me âš

Hi again I have consulted Lego Consumer Service and the LDD department looked at my file, but they couldn't help me. They adviced me to Consult all you good Guys, so here i am back Again. The file can be found on my bricksafe page. http://bricksafe.com...amaged lxf file I hope that one of you has the key to remove the spell on my file.

Seems like sourceforge are having some problems at the moment. It is not possible to download you program right now.

Hi I have ran into a huge problem. After having been using LDD for my newest MOC, i decided to continue it in SR 3D. Unfortunately something went wrong, and the content of the file was deleted when i tried to open the .lxf file in SR 3D. Does anybody know if it is possible, and then how, to recover the content of the file? I have tried to open it in LDD Again.... but it is all gone... 100 hours of Work. I cross my fingers that someone knows...

Sincere Apologies
BondemandClausen replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ohhh yeah, a great fellow dane :-) I don't know what you have written DrJB, but it takes a great man to apologize. Some people claim that it is allways the one who sends out the message, or comment that has the responsibility on how it is recieved in the other end, but sometimes it is hard to forecast how others will recieve it. It is not easy if the reciever is prejudice towards you. -
You have to sign up on https://social.sbrick.com to get the latest update info from the Sbrick Team. Eurobricks is not the right place to find out whats new, cause the Guys at the Sbrick Team is working hard to solve all the issues that comes up, so I assume they focus on their own forum primary. and for the list of problems i have the same problems ;-)

Yes Skåne is still an important sugarbeet area. Actually i think that most of the sugar produced in Skåne, is processed by the same firm as in Denmark, Nordic Sugar, owned by the german Company NordZucker, which i believe is the 3rd biggest sugar producer in Europe. The Ropa i have build, is taking 9 rows at the time, and i know that there is one driving around in Skåne. In Denmark we settle for 6 rows ;-) Glad my MOC took you down Memory lane :-) Heya Sverige ;-)

Thanks Doc! I am working on something these days, but it will take a while before it is presentable... Big MOCs takes time ;-)

I really appreciate your comment DrJB! I can tell you that i have seen one attempt of copying my MOC, a LDD screenshot, sent to my facebook account. And first I was full of pride and joy, but then i got a bit suspicious. The guy wanted some technical information, so that he could finish the LDD. I replied to him that he could sent me the files, and i would finish up the drawing, and told him that he could build it, but I owned the rights to the drawings. I never heard from him again. I didn't wanted to give away my ideas, for him to maybe make money on it. If he wanted to build it, from what he saw on pictures and videos, i couldn't prevent him from doing so... and i am fine with that. I am fully aware of the age we are living in, where it is most important to "share" everything with everyone, that be here, on facebook, instagram etc. And I also know i have shared lots of pics, videos and technical infos with you here..... so i almost shared everything I could. I have had many thoughts about making an Instruction for the ROPA, due to all the requests i have recieved. First i thought why not? Well as said above, i almost have given all the details i could, but should i give them all away. then i thought WHY? Maybe to make a buck or two for myself, selling the instructions? I mean.. i have spent about 1700-2000 US Dollars on the machine, and a whole lot of time. I have talked to Lego, just to be sure not to step on they toes, if i tried to make the Instruction Commercial... but i cannot get an clear answer on that. I have good guys who would help med to do it, because i think it takes too much time to sit and make it in LDD, when i find my time better spend on building new MOCs. And no, i haven't build any MOCS by others, well ok, a gearbox once, but i mostly admire their pics and videos, and off course i as well get inspired and sometimes tries out techniques from others. Again thank you for your comment, i kind of expected to get an reaction on my decision, and i appreciate that you respect it, allthough you dont agree with me. I don't know if it will stay Unique, time will tell. :-)
-
I am sorry to disappoint you, but there isn't, and there won't be. I have decided after long consideration, that i will not publish an instruction, because i feel strongly about my MOC, due to all the hours i have spent on it. I like the idea of my MOC being Unique. I use non rechargeable Lithium batteries from Energizer. They are called "Ultimate Lithium". http://www.energizer...tteries/lithium I believe you should be able to find them in Holland as well. In a LEGO batterybox with 6 AA batteries the start current are up to 10,8 V. My experience is that they last at least 4-5 times longer than Alkaline batteries, and provide more power all the time. They cost more to buy, but considering the longer durability, and better performance i prefer them any time. I haven't tried rechargeable Lithium batteries, so i can't comment on them.

The problem you are having Leif, I also experienced with my Ropa Sugarbeet harvester. It happens when I have functions running continuesly, and I use a function, where the button returns to center. The prototypes didn't had that flaw, and I have made the Sbrick Team aware of the problem, so they are working on it. I don't think it has something to do with the ipad/iphone, because it only occurs on functions that are connected to the same Sbrick.

Easy now Guys! I think we are forgetting that the Sbrick project is in its early childhood, and i think we have to be patient with the newborn. It has to crawl before it can walk! It is a hard job to get satisfied costumers from day one, especially when you make as tight a time frame as the Sbrick Team did, when they announced the project on Kickstarter last Summer. Try and re-think the scenario once more. As we pledged on Kickstarter we were promised to get a Sbrick in November, they managed to get it out till Christmas. And as we all know Christmas is Holiday time for most people, and also for the Sbrick Team. I know as a Beta Tester, that they worked very hard on the hardware inside, and from the prototypes till the final ones there has been done major improvements. My experience with the team, is that they are hardworking, dedicated, and works as fast as they can. The casings is a whole other story. We are all hardcore LEGO fans, and we appearently won't settle for nothing less than perfect... but Sbrick isn't LEGO, allthough i think the Team would love to work directly with the people in Billund. I have only tried out the IOS app, and i think it works very well, but i wait patiently for the Windows app, for my Lumia Phone. For now i have to settle with IOS, and lend my daughters Ipad. So Guys, give the Sbrick some time, and give them constructive feedback from your experiences with the Sbrick and the different apps. I know that the feedback will reach the Team much faster if you us the Sbrick community https://social.sbrick.com/ instead of moaning here on this fabulous site. Consider yourself all Testers that can make this little brick even better in the future, cause it is the future ;-)

Hello Guys! I think it is time for me to present my latest Agricultural MOC; The New Holland T8.420 Tractor It is remote controlled by IR, with 4 functions. Drive, steer, lift/lower the rear liftarms, and a pneumatic valve. It has all wheel drive, with a middle differential, and differentials in both front and rear axles. It is driven by a XL motor. The front axle is with suspension, and the steering is powered by a servomotor. It has PTO shaft in the rear, that can be enabled manually. The Liftarms rear are powered by an M-motor, and can swing sideways like in real life. It has a pneumatic pump, and airtank, and it is possible to attach up to three external pneumatic Circuits, and the fourth outlet is permantly used for the front lift. Under the Hood there is a 6 cylinder engine, with 419 HP, and of course a fan. You an see more pics at http://upload.bricks...ry.cgi?f=549840

Hello Guys. A little update from the Technic building farmer Bondemand Clausen, and his Ropa euroTiger. I had the great opportunity to recieve 3 Sbricks and install it in my Ropa. The fantastic Sbrick Team even developed a custom made profile for Ipad/Iphone. I had a Mini Ipad, and that fitted perfectly to all the functions i wanted to have. So the Ropa not only had the Sbricks, but having 3 Sbricks gave 4 more channels make functions RC, so the manual Pneumatic functions are now RC, and i didn't need to have a mechanial solution for the warn blinkers, that is all solved by the Sbricks. It is amazingly easy to install and configure, but you have to get used to using the Mini Ipad, since you cannot feel the levers and buttons, as on the IR controllers. I have made a little video, from when i attended the LEGO Fan Weekend 2014, last weekend from the 26. to 28. of september. It is not very long, but i hope you enjoy it anyway.

[WIP] Towed ?
BondemandClausen replied to TechnicHead41's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Also known as a "svinglaesser" ind Danish, or a swingloader directly translated. I would call it a tractor towed excavator :-) Will be interesting to follow the development of this farm equipment! -
Im in too, and have made my pledge. I see a lot of great potential in the project, so don't hesitate, go on and back it up.

I like your project, but i think you are shooting over the target with the amount of motors. Two XL motors per batterybox, is as much the safety switch in both the batterybox as well as the PF reciever can handle. My Ropa Sugar beet harvester http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=81575&hl is powered by only one XL motor per axle, on the two first axles with power pullers. The rear axle is powered by a L motor. To avoid overload on batterybox/PF reciever, the first axle has its own box and reciever, and the two rear axles are sharing a box and reciever. The ratio on the powerpullers are 1:2,334, and the smaller rear ones is 1:3,89. I am using the train remote, with 7 steps. That helps starting and stopping smoothly, without smashing gears. It weighs 8,4 kilo, and still runs with a nice speed, with the above gear ratio. I am using lithium batteries with high voltage, and long durability.

They cost more, even if you buy them big stock, no doubt about that. But it is all about how you calculate. Here in DK you can get a Energizer Ultimate Lithium for about, 1,76 euro, while a Duracell Ultra Power cost 1 euro. So even if the duration of the EUL is only 4 times longer than the DUP, then i will claim, it is still cheaper.

Hello Guys. for my Massey Ferguson Combiner, and the Ropa euroTiger i prefer using Energizer Ultimate Lithium L91 AA batteries. They are not rechargeable, but they start out with 1,7-1,8 volt, and simply last 5-6 times longer, than the usual alkaline batteries. I admit that i haven't tried rechargeable, But the lithium ones i use, last at least 8-10 hours powering 2 M and one XL non-stop. Maybe Philo could test one to see if my experiences are right.
