Heroica RPG - Quest #4: Taming the Lions

"Tomas, i am thinking of throwing my Broomstick Powder at Lord Keveak. Would you rather that I strike him with my staff (which wouldn't do much damage either)." -
Collectable Mini Figs Series 6 & 7 Colour Scheme
Darkdragon replied to chuckie8646's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I read the rest of the thread mentioned and I think that he WAS talking about the display box. I actually just got a 8-fig box in black myself (from Amazon), and have never seen one at TRU in black. So maybe TRU is getting them and not selling until Dec. -

This is just great, I love it. The straw house really looks amazing, the trees are great, the scene setup is great. The only thing that could be better is More Pictures

Heroica RPG - Quest #4: Taming the Lions

If they were set down by Tomas, Cinna will grab the various letters that we found, on her way out the tent door. We made have use for them later and for now they will definitely already know we were in here anyway. -

" I think it would be much better if we were gone before the guards catch up to us. Right now we are one step ahead but if we spend much more time talking then they will be here and we'll have to fight nine armed men. I don't like our chances of taking them all out before they can summon even more, the fight may never end. We can't repair the damage we have done already and we need to continue on our quest." -

Cinna sighs at the smashing of the chest. "I don't know that he would beleive us or even care. He'd probably think we were just trying to trick him and get his men elves slaughtered." -

"I will make note of the locations of the X's and the letter info, but I think we should neatly fold these and place them where we found them so they don't know we were in this tent at all. If we look through anything else, we should be careful not to make much of a change in outward appearance of things. This way they might not change their plans." -

"Yes, I think we should head there right now. We should be prepared to retreat though. Whatever we find there I think it is going to be huge and bad. Initially we weren't really suppose to barge into the camp and start killing folks, just find out what they were up to." nervous chuckle. -

"As I mentioned before we barged into the barracks, we should really go to the fields as that is the place the guards were most worried about." -
Space needed does depend on if you want to concentrate on the train portion (large track layouts, more engines, etc) or the city portion. I created a fairly compact layout that has lots of room inside for building more city stuff if I want to, but not much room for more track. This is 2 2.5x6 foot folding tables

Lego Games good parts source for MOCing?
Darkdragon replied to Legoist's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love the games as parts packs. I have bought around 10 Ramses Pyramids for parts (on sale the game is/was only $10) - not only the tan baseplate but the tan and dark tan bricks and especially all the various tiles (29 1x1 reddish brown tiles, for instance). Overall a great parts pack. And in case you can't find it for $10, the Bricklink part-out value of this set is currently $43 so even at MSRP you are paying less than you would in aftermarket price for the same parts. Monsters 4, as others have mentioned are great for monster heads and a good value in most cases in the USA where it is on sale. The Heroica games have some parts in colors you won't currently find in any other sets and are a great place for various brown/dark tan parts. Additionally, the Heroica games have many 8x8 plates which are good for vignettes. Pirate Code - 79 gems! and a large chest. Love it! The bricks and parts in the games are "regular LEGO" parts - I have noticed no difference and actually they don't say that parts are from China but are from the standard LEGO manufacturing plants. I don't want to start a fight here with this statement, just trying to answer the question. -

I did actually manage to pick up some Monster 4 games on Shop@Home yesterday for $1.98 before they got sold out again. All those great monster heads

I would also like to get schooled again. I have only played in Cirque Du Freak Mafia School (and passed), but would like more practice since I did make some smallish mistakes. 1. Always I have an internet connection, and backup plans in case of failure. 2. Answers on the way. -

Mitgardia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Darkdragon replied to Sirens-of-Titan's topic in Guilds of Historica
I am Than-Reya, speaker for the Urk'cape tribe. We pledge our allegiance to the Mitgardia Guild and pledge the support of our warriors when required to defend the Northern lands. Urk'cape is a small village of fishers in the moderate climate region of the Northern lands. They have fished and traded at their lake for many generations. Most members of the tribe stay close to home (though some young men do go on a journey at a certain age to find a wife from outside the tribe) and the tribe doesn't grow much in numbers. We would rather keep to ourselves and not overpopulate the lands or weigh heavily on Mother Nature's resources. We do have a well-trained, if small, warrior force. Taking pride in the task of creating his own uniform to exacting specifications and learning fighting skills, our warriors are focused and determined. They don't wear any extra clothing or armor that is not needed for the specific assignment and this way they are kept lighter on their feet compared to those weighed down in heavy plate armor. There are two main units for the Urk'cape warriors. The leather belted Margliuard who are pure warriors and actually don't fish at all. These men usually come from a long line of Margliuard fighters and are trained from a very young age. These are the front-line in any battle and can use any weapons though they usually like the spear due to it's reach and multiple uses. The Mas'ste are fisherman that have moved onto being warriors or are only part-time warriors when needed. They have full training but are not as skilled as the Margliuard, therefore, they are allowed to wear one piece of metal armor that can protect them about the neck and chest. They usually carry a trident or knife. The Urk'cape warriors do not use swords if possible, though the Margliuard are trained with them in case a time in battle requires the use of a sword. Mitgardia will rule the lands! -
This is so exciting! I just want to duck out of work and go home to start building (but the snow storm here is stopping me, also I like money).
