  1. Official ruling request On Challenge 3, would it be allowable to use non-digital custom backdrops? Similar to the backdrops that came in the large Studios sets. Something like what I did here: Alas! poor Yorick by .:DarkDragon:., on Flickr
  2. I must disagre with you here, sir.
  3. Yeah my brother shot his self with an arrow before...it never actually left the bow
  4. Oh for fun. Got it. In that case
  5. I've had some great experiance with waterslide on white parts. It looks marvelous. However, it is transparent and so you need to take that into account when desiginging to put onto non-white (or even white to a degree) parts. The other thing is that IMO waterslide for inkjet printers comes out very poorly and way too much work. It's best to just take your designs to the local office supply store and have them print it out on a laser printer. They should be happy to use your own paper (the waterslide paper for lasers) and usually a priint will be around $1 or so. Not too bad for a full sheet of some wonderful decals. These really look great! You could try printing it on glossy sticker paper to get a gloss similar to a real torso, I have tried this but just an idea.
  6. I get the "not wasting parts" idea, but isn't this a bit of a lot of work/time/supplies to save something you could just buy for a few pennies? I actually keep all my damaged minifig parts, weapons, etc and use them in projects where I need damaged parts.
  7. The party continues north. The passage twists and turns a little, but in general they can tell they are still heading north. The Bing Bong Bing of the Timekeeper goes off twice as the party keeps walking, and walking. The damp thick air seems to cumulate in the small coridors. Maurice walks up ahead a bit and shines the torchlight down any junctions, and the heroes realize that without the torch they would have been moving even more slowly through this slimey wasteland. They come to a junction that heads Northwest and Southeast, but Maurice shines the light ahead and tells Tesni that the Northwest passage ends in a wall and so the party heads Southeast. They come to another wall with a symbol, they recognize the symbol from earlier, when they entered the Northern path. Unlike all the other walls with symbols, this one has only one path leading away from it plus of course the path they are on right now. This symbol seems to be drawn on the wal with somehing else, it's not as dark as the other lines were and there is something disconcerting about it. Maurice takes a peak around the corner with his torch and sees that the path immediately goes South and he swears he saw many bright points of light, almost like light reflecting off tiny eyes, in the darkness ahead. What will the party do?
  8. I'm going to need one of these to build (and I don't build lego planes usually!) and one for parts. Wow it is wonderful.
  9. Do you mean with real water or with LEGO only? Two very different answers.
  10. Great review. I don't like the chopper but I love dark red, so all the curves will be useful. I can always use more greys. All the minifigs are great.

  16. Yeah, I do understand this. I just want to make sure as many people in the guild as possible know we are having a table so that if they are making it to BW they can bring a little something to show support for Mitgardia.
  17. I liked the design of johnstudiosshop's bendable legs so much that i ordered some. I'm suppose to be receiving them by the end of the month and will post a mini review in this thread.
  18. I agree that players in a quest should not have outside help. the player and the character should solve any puzzle not someone not in the hall. I request that nobody email my party with any unasked-for advice.
  19. I was told "no we don't allow that here" at one store and "Yeah whatever you want" at another. So it depends on the store, I would definately suggest not trying to sneak parts though, as that is stealing and if you just really need one thing just ask.
  20. I hate when that happens. I bet they had just cleaned the pool too.
  21. 3) 1 point 10)1 point 23) 2 points 43) 3 points
  22. It really turned out wonderfully. Now who is building this in brick?
  23. Fellow Mitgardians! If you will be going to Brickworld Chicago and have any room to spare for some creations, please consider a 16x16 or larger Mitgardia moc! Avalonia is way ahead of us on participation in the GoH Brickworld display, we don't want that do we? With the great builders in our guild, I know we could drum up a little more to display than just something from me. It doesn't have to be big, it just has to be Mitgardia!
