  1. The good news is that in the new U-Wing set photos there definitely seems to be a hinge for the wings to bend backwards and the TIE Striker wings angle down as in the concept pictures.
  2. I agree, the new ships look like they could have come from the same batch of concept art as the OT ships. My only question is why don't we see any of these ships in the OT? Especially (I assume) a more advanced TIE than the standard TIE Fighter. That may be answered in the film though/
  3. Yeah, thankfully we didn't get one. A 1980s style arcade would never fit the early-mid 1900s theme. A laundrette is bad enough since automated ones didn't exist, but it's more believable than 80s style electronics.
  4. It means that it's the opposite of the standard "corner modular". Instead of having pavement on 2 sides of the building, you could only have a very small area of paving, with the walls of the modular at 90 degrees from one another rather than at 270 degrees from one another. It would allow you to put it in the corner of 2 other building and have buildings on the outside of a road rather than just the inside as a "block"
  5. I assume they would have to add the detail to the back wall, but in that case they may as well make a regular corner building and people could modify it to be inverted. Tbh the pattern could change. They've released enough to produce a whole square so don't need to keep up with the same release. Plus the pattern of types of building people quote never made sense to me (claiming that the Detective's Office counts as a government building etc). I think a doctor's surgery, rather than a hospital, would be nice. It would be more in line with the style of building's we've had, since a hospital tends to be a much larger, specifically built structure. Also, a surgery rather than a hospital would be easier to keep in the early 1900s style of the others. It would upset me to see a modern hospital interior next to a century old fire station with classic fire engine.
  6. That would make it the same as the old one. But I assume the UK will end up with it much more expensive due to our recently ruined currency. What I'm most curious about is how much it'll be an updated version of the old one, and how much will be totally new.
  7. Ouch, perhaps I'll have to rethink adding it to my collection since that makes it more expensive than the Helicarrier and Firehouse HQ. Hopefully something impressive for that kind of money
  8. Whilst an inverted corner (even with the extra baseplate) seems like a silly idea, I do wonder if they would do a 32x32 and a 16x32 in the same set. Like a Pet Shop and a half. A large baseplate could allow for a taller building, like the Town Hall, without standing out as much. Alternatively it could allow for a main structure and smaller structure, similar to what was done with the Detective's Office, but without having to compromise on the size of either.
  9. Same local store here :-) Always nice to know they'll have everything I want available a short drive down the motorway, and it's normally in stock. I have to agree, it's been a pretty good year for Star Wars, although I wonder if TFA helped by adding a fresh line. I can't wait to see some of the Rogue One sets in person, but it's definitely the new Death Star I'm looking forward to. I couldn't justify getting the last one based on the price and size, but the new version could convince me.
  10. I wouldn't think it is likely. We don't exactly have a lot of Lego stores here anyway. Luckily my local one is more convenient than Toys R Us. I guess the advantage of the UK stores stocking exclusives is countered by the fact we don't have these amazing clearance sales the US have in Walmarts and Targets. I was wondering, has a price been leaked for the new Death Star set?
  11. That's odd. It's listed on the S@H website. Anyway, to answer the original question - I'm not personally a fan on that style of lightsabre hilt.
  12. Toys R Us exclusive doesn't mean "not sold in Lego Stores". Lego sells the Rebel Frigate.
  13. The problem with an inverted corner is that the area of the facade is tiny (like the back corner of Cafe Corner). Plus, by design it'll show one of the plain sides however it is displayed (unless with other modulars). Both of these mean it'll be really ugly to display alone and will seriously limit the appeal to people. Nobody would want it as their first modular.
  14. Regarding the Roxxon truck. In the film it was a white truck with the airport logo. I assume they changed it from the airport logo to Roxxon due to issues of producing a product based on a real location. As for the colour, I assume they wanted something more interesting than a plain, white truck. Or that the concept art had it as a yellow truck instead.
  15. I doubt it, if they were going to release the trailer with Spectre I would expect it to be with the UK release(this week) rather than the Russian release
  16. They are included as characters, but Lego only counts them as minifigures if they are literally minifigures. The Daleks are brick-built
  17. Also a good point. I got lucky when getting my FB second hand. This set would be great for MOCing a similar building I wonder when we will get interior pictures, as that must be where the majority of the bricks have gone.
  18. Very good point. I'm mostly interested in this as an addition to my Modular street. With the fairly plain exterior it has a feel of a larger, but less detailed Fire Brigade
  19. I was wondering the same, although the dimensions given and piece count are both the equivalent of 2 modular buildings. The price isn't much more than 2 modular buildings, which would account for licensing costs.
  20. Lego have announced their price points: 4,634 pieces. US $349.99 - CA $399.99 - DE 349.99€ - UK £274.99 - DK 2999.00 DKK Not sure I can justify the cost for myself, although it is over 4500 pieces. Tbh I can't see where all those pieces have gone, so I guess it must have an impressive interior
  21. It looks great. I wonder what the UK price will be, since that will decide if I can justify getting it to add to my Modular street
  22. Yep, certainly is nice for us to get a set cheaper for a change. I wonder if it has something to do with the cost of manufacturing at the US factories Anyway, on topic - the more I look at the set the more it grows on me. I think it'll fit nicely to finish off my modular street (the only corner I have is the PC) so to have another corner for the far end will be a excellent addition. I hope it doesn't sell too quickly on release, last year I got to the store at opening and they still only had 3 on the shelf by the time I got into the shop.
  23. I think those are the pulley pieces (the same piece used to hold the washing machine sign in another picture)
  24. I'm wondering if, since we now have 2 crime-based locations and a set with police minifigs, we might get a police precinct sometime in future. We have the DO, but a private detective wouldn't be working on something like bank robbery. It would make sense, especially now that the modular buildings are becoming more story based. Going back to something like a simple shop and house like PS, as much as it would be nice, would seem to be going against this new trend. I think it would be something to go nicely with the FB, and could include a 30s era police car... although we haven't had a vehicle in a modular for quite some time.
  25. Actually it is £12 cheaper in the UK and the same price in Europe, so it doesn't seem that trend is the case everywhere. Seems to just be America and Canada (where it is $20 more)
