  1. I saw a design for vertical blinds using flat tiles connected the top withn 1x1 plate w/ clip, clips attaching to a bar. It would be maybe a smidge bulky, but depending on the depth of your wall you might be able to make it work. Bar goes into a stack of 1x2 bricks w/ groove. Didn't have time to mock it up at home; let me see if I can figure it out this weekend.
  2. I like it! What if you combined the first and second floors into a single floor? I picture Apple Stores as having a lot of vertical space on the showroom floor, 2 floor's worth. I would do a single staircase, to maximize the floorplan.
  3. You mean horizontal, correct?
  4. I think it's great so far. I like the detailing in the kitchen and bathroom areas. If I had to add anything, it would be a middle floor, maybe a library or library/dining room? Keep the bedroom/balcony as is, just raise up a whole floor. Built-in bookshelves maybe?
  5. This is fascinating. I wish the hubs would be on board with installing shelves like these, because that's how I'd love to display mine.
  6. I agree - Sweets & Co is far and away my favorite one. Great work on all of them!
  7. Your phone is fine - maybe find a few books to prop it up with, across from the tree, to get the same angle every time. Neat project - can't wait to see where it goes!
  8. Welp, there goes my wallet. Fenestra, I would love to see a Winter Village thread as well. I have bought from Mouseketeer - I agree his instructions are great.
  9. I plan to - that or find modern faces to put on all the modular minifigs.
  10. This was my first thought when I saw it, Steve. Another thought: since the Ninjago City (which I don't have yet) does fit in with the other modulars, but is so crazy in terms of color palate - maybe this would be a good bridge piece between older modulars and that. I plan on getting plain Lego faces to swap out - no reason to have a mixture of expression faces and plain. That is probably my biggest beef with it. I LOVE that diner scene! And I like the jukebox-type arch on the front of the building.
  11. These are great! I love how much detail you were able to convey within the size constraints.
  12. I finished this build yesterday and had a similar experience with the net plates at first. If you have the yellow lever turned so that the plates are angled downwards, the gondolas should swing free.
  13. Hi all, just bumping this topic, for my reference as much as anything else. I'd like to try to cobble this out with only one 40106 set, along with the 10245; will see how expensive it gets finding whatever pieces I have vs need to get vs just buying a second 40106. Thanks for the great idea!
