  1. Image isn't showing. Embed from Flickr or the like.
  2. After seeing an early release of a Porg soft toy, I'm wondering if we'll ever see Lego versions of them. Maybe they could reuse the body mold from the Nexo Knights scurriers!
  3. We'll also be midway through season 4 of Rebels by then - maybe some of the winter sets will come from this neglected source.
  4. The inevitable discussion you've mentioned above is looming on the horizon like an all-consuming, deja vu-inducing nightmare! Good thing is, as soon as news of images appears on here, we'll be able to check them out and then never visit this thread again!
  5. It was nail varnish remover and a q-tip (or cotton bud as we call them in the uk!) The printing was a lot harder to shift and the nail varnish remover seemed to eat straight into the plastic. I've never seen it like it before. As I say, I'm just this one as a prototype and will try different methods next time. Maybe the nail varnish needs to be diluted a bit.
  6. Still investigating the opportunities of the new Ninjago Cmfs and today picked up the rocker with his dual molded black and white legs. These looked go for updating a long neglected minifigure - the biker scout. I'd already updated the figure with arms from the mad scientist. As you'll notice, the main issue with the legs was the additional printing that needed to be removed. The printing here seemed be particularly resistant to removal. My usual technique of simply using a rubber had absoutely Zero Effect. As such i had total resort to some chemicals which obviously have damaged the surface of the plastic slightly. I'm therefore treating this as a "proof of concept" version. Although you do lose the pocket printing from the original legs, I think white boots outweighs this.
  7. Been looking forward to this date due to the release of the ninjago cmfs as I've spied a few useful pieces in amongst them. In particular I was after the "Flashback Garmadon" due to not one pair but 2 pairs of dual molded arms. In fact I'm more pleased with the outcome than I thought I'd be. Check out new Ahsoka and Sabine. I feel like the colours are perfect for Ahsokas skin and Sabines armour. The bottom half of Ahsokas arms should be DBG but I'm happy with the black. Finally I know this hair doesn't match anything from the show, but like a lot of others, it's my preferred hair piece for her. Garmadons legs and hair also look like they'll come in useful at some point! Also some othet useful pieces to be had across the range but I was fed up with feeling the packets.
  8. I'm a stranger around these parts (I usually live in the Star Wars forums... I'm asking for my son!) but I wondered if anyone knew if the Flying Jelly Sub set was a store exclusive anywhere. S@H in the UK is showing most of the other sets as 'coming soon', but no sign of this set. Is it an Argos or TRU exclusive?
  9. New behind the scenes photos from TLJ are doing the rounds. Looking at the image of Smoke, I think its fair to say that Lego have done a pretty good job replicating him in minifigures form.
  10. Where have you seen these? Can't find anything new in the usual places!
  11. I'd be over the moon to find a gunship for £60... or even £160!
  12. It's my Raskolnikov AT-AT that's putting me off the heavy walker - it'll just look puny and not particularly heavy next to it!
  13. I'm most interested in the resistance bomber and Kylo's TIE, but those FO walkers look a right jumble! The smaller one must have some sort of "roll it along and the legs move" type feature - that's the only possible reason it looks like that in my eyes. The big one just doesn't look right to me - the legs look really spindley, but I think that's just cos I'm spoilt after building the Raskolnikov AT-AT! Chewie looks hilarious, but the Praetorian Guard looks like a stand out of the wave for me.
  14. Just throwing this out there... everyone seems to be focused on the obscured top row of figures, but is there a chance there could be another row of figures BELOW the bottom row featuring Snoke et al?
  15. I'm in agreement here. The sandcrawler, escape pod and advent calendar have given me enough jawas, and I've got 4 of the new tuskens which is probably enough. This pack is probably great for kids or those new to collecting, but I can't think many folk will be picking up multiples.
  16. Can anyone suggest a source of blue/black dual molded legs other than this GCPD guy. I want to boot up the new blue FO officers but they're pretty hard to come by.
  17. I agree - we could start to get some really interesting minifigures as a result of this change. Seems like Lego have finally found a way to deliver the Star Wars CMF - just in bulk! I just wish the tatooine pack was including Ponda Baba!
  18. For Yoda's Hut, I'm betting it'll be a section of wall/roof and you'll need to get a couple to make a complete set - I'm a similar way to the carbon freezing chamber.
  19. There's an image of a new First Order Heavy Assault Walker polybag doing the rounds. Looks better than the actual set to me! Check usual places.
  20. I'm quite fancying the legs from this ninjago cmf for a biker scout. lose the chains and the yellow tears and I think it could look pretty good. Roll on 1st Aug.
  21. A backwards-bent AT-AT knee makes me feel sick.
  22. Buy one Garmadon and you get enough arms for Ahsoka and Sabine!
