  1. As funny as it is, I agree We've already had a blue princess (and a light blue one, though Pirate in origin), but we've never had a pink one I think.
  2. The legs are from Series 6 Roman Soldier. The Spartan had quite similar but a little bit simpler legs design.
  3. While I don't personally have that much interest towards things like that, I do agree that it would seem very wise to offer collectors and other adult admirers something like that. I hope they will, before this all is over. And I think miniaturised UCS/Architecture style would be the only way they could do any kind of satisfactory Minas Tirith (as a whole) set. Any minifigure-sized play set would either cost 5.000 € minimum or be an awkward failure. In just a few hours we will have the new trailer kicking around. I really hope TLC will have some exciting news (new pictures of the Hobbit sets, that is) prepared for this ongoing "Tolkien Week".
  4. I fear this theme will inevitably be a disappointment for me after the dream I had a few nights ago. In it the preliminary pictures were leaked and there were CMF Galaxy Patrol guys fighting Blacktron (logo from Blacktron II, design style a mesh but more from Blacktron I) who tried to steal tech from M-Tron, and there was some Futuron-ish civilians in there too. Everything beautifully reimagined. Biggest sets were a huge Blacktron base and an M-Tron transport ship with Blacktron infiltrators and a smaller Galaxy Patrol ship in pursuit. Yeah, I know I've been reading too much Lego news when my dreams are about leaked prelims.
  5. I interpreted that these are from the theme Brickset calls "Bricks and more". Especially with the mention of minifigs, a new horse and Castle compatibility.
  6. Sounds nice! Was it the Kingdoms princess or even something altogether new and unique?
  7. It is from a key chain figure, afaik. There used to be one BL seller who had like hundreds of them and the price wasn't high either, but apparently their stock has run dry. Luckily I bought a few before they disappeared, though I'm starting to regret that I gave some of them away to a friend.
  8. She does not exist in the book, she's Jackson's addition to include more girl power, romance etc. in the films.
  9. If you know a set that includes the piece you are looking for, you can find it quite easily from the Bricklink catalogue by going through the set inventory, like this one.
  10. At least according to Klaus-Dieter, the source of this rumour, "there were only empty boxes painted in the retailer's catalogue". So no preliminary pictures anywhere yet.
  11. Seems to me it's not in the catalogue yet. It isn't linked to Santa's entry and I didn't see it in the list of newest additions to the catalogue either. I'm sure it will be categorised as "Minifig, Utensil".
  12. At least around where I live Olivia's workshop seemed to be the least selling set of the first wave. In one store there was for many weeks a shelf completely scavenged from any Friends sets whatsoever (afaik they had problems with keeping up with the demand) except a nice amount of Olivia's workshop. As much as we as adults may applaud the positive role model in said set, it may not have been as well received by many of the target audience.
  13. I suppose it is imaginable that they would have for some reason changed the releasing order of upcoming modular buildings since early April when Jamie cast that burning soup hint. That would make both Jamie and pezdez correct at their time.
  14. Ooh! If these turn out to be true, I really hope that the new animals (at least a single one of them!) will be designed in not too cartoony cutesy style, so that they can be used in other themes besides Friends. I would love to have some squirrels in the trees around my Castle village.
  15. Quite many have listed Santa's helper or Christmas elf or something like that. While Lego may not have been completely consistent with their choices in relation to the publication schedule (the Bunny Suit Guy somewhat missed the Easter season), I don't think they would include a Christmas-themed figure in a wave that will presumably be officially released in January, even if it will probably be found in stores at least somewhere in the world already in December. Thus the main selling season of this series will be from January (or late December) to March. Christmas season on the other hand is like October-December, which corresponds better with Series 8 (including Santa figure, as it happens) schedule and with Series 11 (supposing we are lucky enough to get that far and the three-series-a-year schedule doesn't change).
  16. To wreck havoc in the system or possibly even in effort to defame a specific person, the project owner. The owner would have to have a lot of computer skills and zero intelligence to use so obviously fake accounts as get4w3, 4wrhyf, i7yitr43, retrghy3, gdtd45, 9jtfyxw, jyft64, iy8r7vhgy, dse45ehf, 3fo8fg, 342hfg, 97gt531, 8gher1, 2tu87, 39sdioy, 7gedw, 490fdfjlo, u6yfdx, yrsdtgw34, 83ghi, 98fcgd3rw, 45iku8, 765ghft, 6yro0, o8i43, r25vxf, ew543d, fewrwr3, 094es, e5gfse, 45yhewr, w4095d, ds342lo, 2qegftr89, 35loiuj, 398fhgf, 8ifgh, oedq-0, hui8ydr, 234fho9, sgr4r2, te3543f, wo893, 234fd9, tu7eu, 897ghy, kuy53o, 2qhy9, m3hjfl3, 2eqfs09, khjyf09, o98dgft, yui4r3d.... (the list is copied from a post by Brickster99 on the project comments, kudos to him for compiling it)
  17. Thanks a lot! I thought it looked like a Fabuland part, but I didn't find it in Bricklink catalog - didn't notice that Fabuland parts had a whole category of their own! So here it is in BL too: Fabuland Trashcan Lid 5 x 5.
  18. What is this puzzling umbrella part? I found it among the old parts from the childhood collection of me and my brother (though there's some random older and newer bricks amongst there). At first I thought it isn't Lego at all, but there's Lego indented on the underside as well as numbers "5-01". A round 1x1 brick can be attached to the middle of the underside.
  19. With Lego as it is nowadays and with licensors involved I don't see any chance that they would use normal minifig heads for the Turtles. If they want to be cheap they print the shells in the back of the torso (would also make it easier to apply sword-holder etc.), but specifically molded heads are given.
  20. That would be cool! I hope they would make a chimpanzee! Oh wait... But yes, I too hope they would use animals in CMF series more often. A new parrot (recolouring or a completely new mold) would have made the Series 8 pirate captain so much more desirable. I'm still hoping for a shepherd/shepherdess with a sheep for a future series, though I suspect that would be pushing the limits of the CMF package size.
  21. Well done "castlification" of a classic set, a worthy continuation of your retro theme and a nice build on its own too. It's unfortunate how few official harbour/seafaring sets we have had in Castle theme over the years. I agree that the green raised baseplate looks better than the grey one, but I think it would look more natural if you used green plates instead of blue ones to connect it to the blue baseplate. Dry ground after all should be higher than water by definition.
  22. To me it seems like they are very possibly doing just that. I'd say Gandalf's battle against the balrog is one of the likeliest sets to appear sooner or later, and Gandalf isn't even included in this set. Of course the balrog set, if it happens, won't be in this same wave, but I at least like variety in the offerings also.
  23. Thanks again everybody, I didn't expect this many comments. I agree, but frankly I don't own that much more meat. Some more turkey legs, but not a single sausage for example. Hopefully in the future the shop will have a better variety of offerings.
  24. (the topic of this thread alludes to my last Mitgardian creation, Small Mitgardian homestead ) I haven't really been active in Historica for a long time, but when I posted a MOC to the general Historic Themes forum I was understandably questioned why I didn't post it as a Mitgardian building. Truth is I just hadn't thought about the possibility! Oops. Then a day ago I was inspired to try building a modular baseplate according to the style of Finnish LUG Palikkatakomo and adjusted on it a house that I had built already a long time ago based based on an alternate version of 5891 Apple Tree House. And I thought it fitted well into Mitgardian style so here it is, with some added drama. For a few weeks it has been unnaturally warm. When thick layers of snow should still cover the lands, the blood-red devil's carnations are already in the bloom. They thrive this far in the north only on the years of death, dearth and despair. A scattered group of Mitgardian warriors are running for their lives. Somewhere behind them, but not far enough, a horrendous and seemingly invulnerable fire elemental wrecks havoc on the remains of a nearby village. By the roadside is a house of a poor farmer family, and the captain holds his horse just long enough to order the inhabitants to flee. But where would they go? Grandfather is old and frail, the baby is just few months old and even the oldest of the children is still too young to support his family. All they have is here on this homestead, and if the father is ever going to return alive from Jarl's service and the war this is where he will come to look for his family. As in the Apple Tree House model, part of the roof can be lifted so you can see inside. Not much to see, though. The loft is for sleeping, the hatch leads to the wood storage so you don't have to go outside to get firewood in the cold of winter.
  25. Unless I'm very much mistaken, the sack is a new mold. Maybe you are mixing it with this backpack piece that debuted last year? I haven't yet got my hands on any Series 8 figs, but Santa's sack is actually the new part that I'm most excited about - more than about actor's collar or lederhosen guy's pretzel, which is saying a lot! Such a part has been sorely missed.
