I never owned the original Krika. Your MOC makes me regret that now. XD Jokes aside, this MOC looks really good. You did a good job transporting the design from the original set into the HF style.

So you got not only one, but two video game references in here. Genius!

I see what you did there. ^^ Anyway, really cool MOC, I also like his colours.

Since you mentioned ordering single pieces... does anyone know why TLG hasn't updated the HF parts in Pick-a-Brick yet? There are still the parts from the first Breakout-line. I'd really like to get a few parts from the second one, like the small sockets which were in Stormer XL. As for the current wave, I'm not sure if I want to get anything else after Breez, Ogrum and Furno XL. Especially since I reactivated one of my other money-consuming hobbies.

While I'm really looking forward to Stormer and Surge, I'm a bit on the fence about Dragon Bolt. Something about his built looks kinda awkward, judging from the pictures. But I'm optimistic that will change once we see the actual set (besides, he's blue, so I'll probably get him just for parts anyway).

I'm also not a fan of gold, but I do like Rocka's new helmet. It departs more from his Breakout helmet than I anticipated, but that's a good thing. Besides, I really enjoy the quality of your photos.

That's a really sweet probe! As for the tan/gold/yellow discussion: Personally, I would say the Protoss are actually golden in the game (I'd never thought of them as tan), but in LEGO form, I think they look better in yellow. Are you going to build more Protoss units or buildings?

I've read somewhere (I think it was Tomopop) that there was already a Portal project at CUSOO, and it was rejected because it didn't passed LEGO's brand fit review. Just because there are gazillion of people who play the game it wouldn't automatically mean that every one of them would buy LEGO sets of it. Granted, there might be also people who don't play the game who would enjoy those sets (I, for myself, own one of the smaller WoW sets, a few from the Halo series and I'm really looking forward to what MB might do with the StarCraft license), but there's still the question about the target audience - how many kids would buy WoW sets? Or how many parents would buy ther kids WoW sets? (I wouldn't say it's possible though - as far as I know, the Warcraft franchise might be a possibility for a LEGO theme if MegaBrands wouldn't had got the license) Personally, I'd like to see something from the Zelda series, which could maybe work (though I have doubts about the target audience here as well, see above).

His back looks a bit empty, but aside from that, this is a very cool MOC - and also clever parts usage from Scorpio! It's really impressive to see "alternative" models for HF and Bionicle sets. I'm myself way too much into traditional MOCing to think of something like that.
-
You might want to put a MOC that is mostly black (and lime) not on a black table... Anyway, I agree with the other people here. He looks very nice and bulky. I also like the redesign for his back you gave him.
-
I'm also curious about his shield. Would be also one of the few reasons why I might give him a try.
-
Could you please upload more pics of this guy? Please please please? Anyway, as far as I can judge, that guy looks rocking sweet. He does, however, in comparison with other chima figures, look a bit naked. He would benefit from a secondary colour for some sort of armour.
-
I'd also suggest that you might try smaller wheels out. The big ones are way to dominant in the robot mode. But aside from that, you've made once again a fantastic vehicle mode!
-
Breakout Breez looked quite feminite, if you ask me. Mostly because of her feet (and yet another foot on her back, which gave her a nice, sleek body).
-
I'm confused about Jet Rocka, since Surge seems to be the aerial hero in that wave (which is the reason why I kinda start hoping that Dragon Bolt becomes his enemy, which would result in an awesome looking dragon monster with wings). Also, no Stringer? Blargh.

Took me long enough, but finally, here's Ogrum's review.
-
I'm sorry for the delay of this review. I wanted to write it earlier, but you know, christmas and stuff. I was really looking forward to get Ogrum. But not because of his design or his parts, but simply because of his colours. Alongside with a few pieces of brown, Ogrum also comes with dark green shells - two colours which were absent from LEGO's constractions themes for a long time (especially brown). But how much benefits this guy from the new colours? Let's find out. Set name: Ogrum Set Number: 44007 Price: 12.99 Euro Pieces: 60 Year of release: Late 2012/Early 2013 Size class: Deluxe set (which means it's a medium set) The bag Ogrum run's amok in the facility, surrounded by various brain slugs. Interestingly enough, the front of his bag doesn't feature any ad for the video game. The back of his bag does show an ad (and also informs you about the hero core with 600 points). It also shows the "swinging mace action!" of Ogrum, and if you happen to own Breez, you'll be someday (if LEGO puts the instructions online) able to build that fantastic looking combiner. Instead of a flip-up visor, he comes with a brain slug. Inside the bag Ogrum comes with 60 parts - or did I make a mistake while counting? Given that Breez got 53 parts, I get the feeling he's a bit overpriced. As I said earlier, Ogrum got dark green and brown, and there's also some gunmetal (like that superhero-chest-thingy - I guess we hadn't that in gunmetal before). Oh, he also comes with one of the new heads! New and interesting parts The brain slug, which is made from a rubbery plastic. A very large, nice looking piece with a nice brain design. The red part is a more solid plastic with a cross axle. Another shot of the brain design. Ogrum's face, which also has some blains. It looks very ogre-like, somewhere between your generic fantasy orc and some sort of demon from Japanese folklore (okay, the latter maybe not so much). It's back. You see, it connects the same way as a Mistika kanohi. I'm very sure that these pieces aren't new. Ogrum got 2 brown and 3 dark green ones. Building the bad guy Just like Breez, you put a brown piece on Ogrum's back, although a bit lower, at heigh of his hips. Then he gets limbs and feet. Then you put leg and body armour on him. Then he gets his head. Instead of completing it though, we then start to build the weapon in his left hand... ...and give him his hands. Then there comes the brain slug. The end of the tail connects to the brown piece you put on him at first. Then we complete Ogrum's head with the mask and a pair of tusks. He looks already quite menacing. And to make sure that he doesn't just look menacing, he now gets his weapons. First his vine hand... ...then the mace. The build of the mace is quite simple. Then you attach it to the stick in his left hand, give him shoulder armour and then we got... The finished set So yeah, this is Ogrum, your average orc-like monster with a mace. I like his colourscheme with the green skin and the brown and gunmetal clothing/armour. His weapon looks also very brutal and fits him well. However, I'm not really a fan of the brain slug. Granted, it gives him those nice red eyes, but it also results in a rather empty back and also limits the poseability of his neck joint. (however, you can of course unplug the spine and just give him back armour) Playability Aside from the issue with his neck, Ogrum is still very poseable (though his shoulders are a bit restricted because of the armour there), and his mace brings also some extra fun. You can use it to crush the cores of those weak heroes! But since we know how tough Breez is, it's more likely that she frees Ogrum from the parasite! If you flip the head upward and put Ogrum's face on it, he looks a bit empty though. I guess his mask works better with the older, wider heads (like the Toa metru ones, though I haven't tried that yet). Final thoughts Back then in my review for Breez, I suspected Ogrum to be the better green set of this wave. After owning and comparing Breez and Ogrum, I'd say it's more or less a draw between the two. I liked Breez' dynamic design, and I like Ogrum's bulky look, and both of them come with nice pieces (Breez got the neat helmet, the visor and the new armour, Ogrum comes with a slug, his mask and interesting colours). So it's really up to you which set is the better one. (but to be honest, I'd recommend you to get both of them) He's also an exellent addition to any orc army you might want to build.

Which is megablocking hilarious, if you ask me. Back on topic: I tried to find the building instructions for the combiners today, and sadly, I wasn't able to find them.

Question about Glatorian socket durability:
ZORK64 replied to Sir Walter Maugham's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I expierenced that actually the other way around. My sockets from the Glatorians seem more prone to break than the ones from my Toa Phantoka and Toa Mistika sets. -
You're not. Though I got only three of them (Jaller, Hewkii and Hahli), I really liked the Mahri for various reasons. The new blasters were fun, they used masks similiar to these of the Toa Metru (I never really liked the rubber masks of the Inika) and all of them looked somewhat unique. It still irks me that I passed the other three...
-
Looks very good, the only thing I'd suggest would be to add a red "villain core" piece on his torso armour. It looks somewhat empty, and the spike arms only draw more attention to the empty center... But aside from that minor nitpick, he looks very cool.
-
I'm looking forward to them Gatanui. Partly because you got a better camera if I remember correct, partly because I'm curios about Scarox' back.
-
Ah my bad, I tend to mix these two up.
-
It's 6022718. Uh, I'm afraid it will be a bit delayed. I haven't started on the combiner yet (still need to get the instructions), and because of christmas preparations I hadn't the time yet to write the review either. Maybe I'll write the review today and add the pics for the combiner whenever I built it.

But we still hadn't a character who actually pulls a heel face turn in the story yet. I wouldn't expect one though, because none of the characters really looks like a good candidate for it (though I admit my knowledge of the HF story is limited).
