  1. I think Lego is strategic. Up until the disney acquisition they would have had to make their star wars product last until at least when their contract was up. As you can probably imagine, this could require them having to be conservative when deciding which figures to make and when. Think about how long Lego has been making star wars sets. 17 years into it and there are still OT sets that are heavily anticipated. If they'd released every figure from all of those movies as quickly as possible, I can't imagine there would be that same interest. My question is. When do you think OT characters will get the same quality updates like the force awakens guys have i.e. 3d tubes coming from tie pilot helmets, and dual molded rebel pilot helmets.
  2. Loving that set more and more. I was quite surprised for the multitude of colors used in the structural/hidden builds. Thanks for the review!
  3. May I please have a tag? Thanks!
  4. Picked up the advent calendar.
  5. Haha he totally does. And yeah they do Miro. Made creating Lego model pretty straight forward though, haha. That's a good a idea. I would like to eventually invest in some studio style lights to produce more quality images for these models I make.
  6. Thank you! The cable can completely fit into the body. In fact if you run it in reverse, it will pull the snowtrooper into the body, where you then could close the door. LDD will come soon, haha.
  7. Hey everyone! I'm new to this side of the forums(usually in the Star Wars section), but I'd like to a share an In-N-Out burger MOC that I recently made. I was inspired by the one I'm sure most of you have seen floating around the internet recently. I wanted to to give it modular dimensions, however, so it could fit in with the rest of the modulars. Now let's check out some pics. Sorry for the cell phone camera quality. 8. Accurate Movie Styled Barriss Offee Update: Take her figure from 8091 and replace the black hood/cape with that of Naare in the 75145 Eclipse fighter. Modded Barriss Offee w/ cape and hood from Eclipse Fighter set by Jhaelon Edwards, on Flickr Looks pretty good i think, since the clone wars cape is short. Another plus is that Naare has the newer soft cape.
  9. Simple and fun. I love it!
  10. I appreciate it! I can't take credit for that snowspeeder however. It is Larry Lars' design. Look him up on flickr and you can find the instructions for it.
  11. I'm meticulously staring at this death star box trying to find differences but OK not having much luck. Tarkin has the cylinders in his uniform, which is nice.
  12. The Lego guy has 3 red 3 yellow, so he looks like the guy walking in the hall with yularen. I think Molock has 6 red from what I've gathered from Google.
  13. Yeah you're right. Can we see if he has gloves? Not sure the sideburns on the minifig are correct either.
  14. I have no joints at the knees. The legs are mounted still with 2 pins at the hips. I have tires under the frontmost and back most feet. I don't have any bending happening on my Walker.
  15. Yeah that looks to be what the figure is. He also has gloves for whatever reason. I don't think it's meant to be an actual character. Also, there's still no dual molded legs on tarkin, or anyone for that matter.
  16. Just got a look at the minifig selection. No gray suit imperial officers, no Stormie utility belt on han or Luke. There is a tattooine Han though.
  17. The legs have to stay straight. This was the design choice I contemplated the most about but I decided to make them rigid due to two things: 1. the weight of the model is far too much for any lego hinge to handle(without needing to have the model attached to a baseplate at every foot) and 2, a strong enough joint would severely change the asthetic of leg, as it is only 2 studs wide. I know LilmeFromDaFuture(did I get all the capital letters correct in that? haha) currently has a design for a 2 stud wide leg with a joint at the knee. Perhaps his will be able to support the weight of a walker like this.
  18. There was a double points weekend a few weeks ago here in the states. Wasn't advertised, just sprung on us the day it started.
  19. While it certainly looks real, I am a little skeptical about whether or not the picture we see is legit. My Lego store definitely does not have a Death Star in hand. That doesn't mean that it is impossible for other stores to have one of course. I just haven't heard anything about us getting a Death Star in any time soon.
  20. I appreciate all the kind words everyone. Thia project was quite the undertaking, and I'm happy other people can get some enjoyment out of it.
  21. Dude that is awesome!
  22. Mind, Blown. Now I need to hunt down that Christmas tree droid and make r2-x2. How did you figure that out?
  23. You did an amazing job on this. Holy.
  24. Kevii23, that looks beautiful. Are you planning on doing a starkiller base moc or something?
  25. Perhaps our cockpits are identical because they're based on the same thing? Lol. The closest thing they have in common is that we both used the 6x6 dish for the door, which I think is a pretty intuitive choice for it, and the use of the hologram. Other than that, the layout of the cockpit is pretty straight forward and doesn't leave much room for interpretation. I don't know why you're insinuating I took your design without giving credit. I clearly referenced the people who inspired the Walker. I wouldn't have specifically left you out. I didn't even know you were building a Walker until yesterday.
