I am hoping someone has a reasonable explanation for the lack of chrome minifig because I have been puzzled by the situation for quite a while. What is stopping Lego from producing certain mini figures in chrome? For example, the force awakens c 3po from last year would have looked wonderful in chrome. This omission doesn't make sense to me, because the Tc 14 polybag from a few years earlier was in chrome. I have looked into this and found that there could be a cost issue, and an environmental impact issue. This doesn't make sense to me, because Lego mass produces MULTIPLE chrome key chains (a chrome gold brick, chrome silver brick, chrome gold minifigure. Etc.) Why skimp out on star wars mini figures?

I'm glad the droid isn't tc 14. I feel that would be a step back from the chrome version.

Even though the Revan promotion isn't worldwide, I do have hope that this will decrease the aftermarket price of him. Especially since he's a gift with any star wars purchase.

I am curious then about the scope of this thread. I was under the impression that anything regarding lsw in 2016 was up for conversation here. Which thread is appropriate for future promotions of 2016?

The leaked poster with Revan shows that star wars sets will be double points on the 30th. Hopefully this holds up because it would be kind of silly to make us wait a day just to enjoy the promotion.

That's a sweet looking MOC. Something like that would make for an awesome colab between people who could just add on sections and more ships. The exploding TIE is my favorite part.

Now that I think about it, it would have been really nice if they included two random patrons from Maz's castle instead.The resistance troopers are pretty easy to come by in other sets.

Have any of you guys tried using the LBG death star spheres from the old planets series as the engines? I know the guy who created the huge ISD with interior used them and they look great on that.

What is the big design flaw in lego for the U-Wing?

Glad you had a great time! I attend Star Wars days in California every year and it's a blast. We got a First Order general for participating in a lego star wars fan gallery, and the A wing pilot was a 30 dollar GWP.

Well it's a lego set. I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect that certain design choices could be me made to get the most out of the speeder, which by itself doesn't allow for very many action features. Doesn't have to be anything elaborate, just a stud to connect R2 and 3PO to the ship as they're shown in the movie.

Which sets are you guys planning on getting on rogue friday? The whole wave? Maybe just a few initially? I'm interested in seeing what sets people are gravitating towards as day one purchases.

I got a chuckle out of this. If you guys haven't seen the "Go Rogue" animation series on youtube, check it out. In the final scene of the newest episode, they show the death star instructions that the rebels are looking for, and it's set number 10188 instead of the 75159 which was actually shown in the first episode.

Also. Does the new landspeeder have a better seating arrangement for C-3PO and R2 on the back?

I think it looks great! Especially the version with the stickers on the front curved slopes. Was there a specific reason you decided to go with headlight bricks instead of a brick with stud on side for c3PO's seating area?

I'm not sure about that. I think the general shapes around the bottom and back areas are different enough to warrant different molds. Also, the shore troopers have the vents in the mouth area.

None of those sets sound too exciting. But yes. Is Han's new hair piece used?

I just took a closer look at the shore and tank troopers from r1. It is kind of sucky that they didn't give them their own custom molds.
