  1. I quote myself. I spent so much time on the games: Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Dr. Mario, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, and plenty of ROM hack emulators (before Nintendo sued the website). I can see this license lasting years, similar to Minecraft.
  2. It doesn't currently take photos, but read the last paragraph. https://www.lifewire.com/find-and-use-nintendo-switch-camera-4585117
  3. The leak that LEAF has an augmented reality component now makes perfect sense. The Nintendo Switch has cameras. Could the Mario we've seen be intended to work with it?
  4. If this is going to be a MCU series, consider some of the Netflix Marvel characters are crossing over to the movies. There are a number of AoS characters that would need a CMF mold budget to be made. A Hive fig would be awesome.
  5. For those wondering how they might do Bowser, consider the Leatherhead fig from TMNT. Most classic depictions of Bowser having him squatting rather than standing anyway. Donky Kong works at that scale too. Diddy Kong could be done like Monkey King, maybe with the short moving legs. Most of the Koopas could be done like the Ninja Turtles. Gombas can be pretty much brick built. New head molds for sure. This also puts some of the CMF costumes in a new light. Particularly this one.
  6. It was shared here some time ago. So we know less about this theme than we thought we did. This probably won't even be a 2020 theme.
  7. I don't think Atlantis (which got a sequel) and Emperor's New Groove (sequel and TV series) were unsuccessful. I still see Kuzco memes. I still think LEGO could be planning a minidoll Pirates theme. All this discussion about the usual target demographic for a normal Pirates theme got me thinking that (the seemingly delayed) Monkey Kid is intended for that group. The demographic that Elves was the target of seems underserved by the current crop of Disney Princesses based sets. The Friends storyline has enough layered in there for a time travel story that would justify a Pirates theme. If you think that wouldn't appeal to girls, I'd suggest looking at how the popularity of Outlander has filtered down to the younger female generations.
  8. I believe that expression is supposed to be an exertion grimace, as in the face she makes when throwing. I think it has been reported that she has dual face printing.
  9. If only TLG would create a half version of the standard hull midsection. It would only increase the parts count of a ship by 7-10, but would be a far more versatile part. The more a ship part can be used across multiple themes, the more cost effective a Pirates line could be.
  10. Or Vaudun Priest, which is the common term in one of my favorite series of novels.
  11. Last year I was able to get the mountain lion. This year's version, lioness, is listed, but currently out of stock.
  12. Oh, thanks for clarifying this! No Marvel for the very same reason. We live in hope that Disney ends this someday.
  13. October? Could LEGO still hold the Scooby-Doo license? Scoob!, a digital animation movie, is set to come out this year. The character list includes young versions of the gang.
  14. The Yellow Ranger was a man in the Japanese version of the original show, the full suit stunt scenes (among others) of which were reused for the American version of the show. I stopped following Power Rangers quite some time ago, so I an unfamiliar with the incarnation of the show that has a female White Ranger. Cyan? Interesting color choice. Just gaudy enough to make sense.
  15. Jack Sparrow had his own issues.
  16. To do that we should consider what other LEGO properties might get a CMF series next year. The Billion Brick Race was something people considered might get a CMF series, but it seems to still be in development with not even a projected release year. The Harry Potter license is most probable given the third Fantastic Beasts movie is projected to be put sometime next year.
  17. I wish they had gone with the Spider-Man Unlimited suit instead of a rehash of Iron Spider, and an invisibility mode trans-clear fig instead of a skeleton.
  18. There's a way to use a single thread by spreading the story out in multiple posts, with a good amount of time between them so that they don't get merged. Then use the specific post links for your forms.
  19. Quite probable. I saw a report that many in China are avoiding in-person contact.
  20. There is a Spider-Man set that is supposed to be in an image share blackout until tomorrow, so Monkey Kid could be held off until then as well.
  21. That Viking is perfect! The outfit looks straight out of a Museum Replicas catalog. I'm loving the drone design. I'm already thinking of alternative uses. I need that turtle! I hope the minifig posing pieces are part of the package. The Knight is a good army builder. I'll change the helm, though. I'll be buying some Llamas. Put some blank heads in them, and set them behind some structure. A fun addition to a pastoral MOC. I need the Bunny Pajamas' hair. The Lady Pirate is usable, but not for multiples. I'd like a couple of those NASA round bricks. The nunchaku do seem to have shorter bars. I hope they come apart. There's some potential for a martial arts class builds here. I didn't get any of the brick costumes before, green is my favorite color, and I have a few landscaping ideas, so I'll get multiples. The head, hair, and plate have their uses. I might be able to use the Red Ranger in some sci-fi vigs, but changing the helmet. I could part out that Keytar Guy. The Piňata Boy is a maybe. The Hip Hop Girl, Olympian, and Pea Pod are ones I can do without.
  22. An image of the Nunchaku Guy has surfaced. Mild grimace face print with a black geometric design on a white headband. The hair looks to be a good match for the Karate Kid (original movie). The nunchaku appears to have handles shorter than a 3L bar.
  23. I'm tempted to think 9 is the Scarlett Pimpernel, but that's in the description listing of one of my picks from the Guessing Game thread, and I didn't get a match. A luchador?
  24. Could 10 be a different Pharaoh? Akhenaten? Or the god Osiris? In white robes with the dual crown of the Upper and Lower Kingdoms? Could 8 be the Norse god Oden?
  25. Marie Antoinette! That's a $5 fig.
