Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
gedren_y replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Agreed. If it's the Quinjet, that's the scale for it. If the F4 get their entrance into the MCU as part of this year's movies, then it could be their Quinjet. Now if it is something minifig scale (quite unlikely), the only ship in the MCU that makes sense at that price point is the Zephyr from AOS (not gonna happen). A brick built Uatu, scaled proportional to the minifig, could be at that price point. In any event, we need a good Stan Lee fig. I know a bunch of us want his FedEx driver cameo. -
People, there is a very adult connotation for the term 'Furry.'

I don't expect any Deadpool movie sets. I can see Deadpool as a fig in a Doctor Strange 2 set, as this is supposed to be his entrance into the MCU. Carnage and Venom exist in Lego, and haven't needed movie tie-ins for their sets. Both have appeared in Spider-Man cartoons for a long time. They were even central to a good chunk of Spider-Man Unlimited, which is one Spidey suit I want as a fig (would have made sense in Venomosaurus Ambush). Busts do not need a specific movie to sell to an existing adult fanbase. I personally know nine comic collectors that buy those kinds of display items, one a serious symbiote fan. (I considered buying a talking Deadpool head.) To those who question how well known Uatu is, What If . . . is about to become a Disney+ cartoon, and the comics have their own fanbase. I still read my copy of What If . . . Wolverine Was Lord Of The Vampires (that would be an awesome variant). I am aware at how unlikely a large brick built Uatu set would be, but it is still in the realm of the plausible. I remember the fan buzz when the Watchers were first rumored to appear in the MCU. Some speculated Stan Lee's cameos across various Marvel movie universes made him Uatu. The delays for Black Widow are disappointing, but as it is largely a prequel movie, I don't think it changes much. The sets have sold well, and Lego may just extend production to fill some of the void. The CMF series could get an extended run as well. The Shang Chi sets interest me in that they will need to be made in such a way as to differentiate enough from Ninjago (dragon builds), Monkie Kid (modern Chinese character representation), and Chinese New Year (cultural architecture) sets. -

I have an idea about something that could be in a WandaVision set, but it would spoil a scene in the show for those who haven't seen it already, so reader beware. I'm holding out hope that the $300 set could be a large Uatu build, with a Stan Lee as Watcher Informant fig. -
There also is a redesign of the NES that was released in the US (I had it). It was a top load design like the SNES. It made using peripherals, like the Game Genie, easier to use.

No one is mentioning the possibility of some 4+ sets. Last year we got a 4+ Avengers set. While they can be MCU based, they generally don't reflect any specific movie or show. -

My guess is that Black Widow, and probably Shang Chi, will get the same treatment that Mulan got. Released to streaming platforms for purchase access for the length of time the movie would have been in theatres, then gets added to the available movies for regular Disney+ subscribers. -
Remember that dragon head in a circle, I just realized that's the new ring piece in Ninjago. You can see it clearly in the leaked images of 71747 The Keeper's Village.

Maybe not theme specific, but don't discount recolors. There have been a few new parts that if they came in stone or wood colors would be a great boon to Castle builders. Some years ago I bought the Creator set 5929 which itself was an improvement from the previous Creator set 6193. A $100 3-in-1 set should be quite the parts pack. I even speculated on the possibility of this happening some time ago, because of how Pirates got the Ideas and Creator sets released in tandem. I actually hope we don't get more Black Falcons torsos with the Creator set. I'm hoping for Dragon Masters, Fright Knights, or even Wolfpack. Edit: It just occurred to me that a Creator Castle set could make use of the new road plates. Not ideal, but the 8x16 ones could be used for long wall expanses.

There is also What If . . . on the horizon, so a huge Uatu build, like The Child from Star Wars, is a distinct possibility. Paired with Stan Lee in the space suit would make it perfect. My wants if the CMF is comics based: The Lizard - Either with the faun legs in green and purple, or a new clawed foot add-on mold, the robe piece in white for the lab coat, new head mold 90's Yondu - Robe again, this time red edged in yellow, new large frill piece Namor - Atlantian battle armor Silver Samurai - no new molds, but chrome it all except the head Dr. Druid Squirrel Girl Mystique Madame Web Mr. Sinister Eternity Lilandra Neramani Dormommu My wants if the CMF is MCU based: Fed-Ex Stan Lee Old Man Steve Rogers King Laufey Sif Kraglin Malekith Frigga Luis (Michael Peña) Peggy Carter T'Chaka Okoye Zuri -
Raya and the Last Dragon images just surfaced on IG. Three sets so far. Seems to be Asian high fantasy.
-
These two images seem to be what is being offered in the set that leaked, though I may be mistaken on the second one. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5109280/mediaviewer/rm1625806849/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5109280/mediaviewer/rm3407994113/ The movie's release date is listed as March 5. Edit: Just saw another leak. (edit again) French IG post claiming official images. The set from before, and two others. The second image I linked isn't in the first set, but in another set as a large buildable creature, like the dragons in Elves. There is some sort of purple fox creature as well. It does look like we are getting at least two three fat monkeys in the boat set. Here's how they look in the movie. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5109280/mediaviewer/rm3458325761/

With a Marvel CMF being plausible this year, hope springs Eternal(s). Here's a list of some of the figs I would love to have. Spiderman - Unlimited costume Kitty Pryde - proper Shadowcat variant Major Victory - the Rambo/Captain America costume Yondu - 90s comic look Wolverine Lord of the Vampires - can What If . . . make this a reality? Captain Britain Banshee Now if only we could get Marvel and DC to cooperate again, so that Lego Amalgam could be a reality.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
gedren_y replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If we were to get anything LOTR, it would be tied to the upcoming Amazon Prime TV series, which is set before The Fellowship of the Ring. Highly unlikely because some months ago it was reported that a casting call for the show was looking for actors/actresses comfortable with nudity, suggesting at least the possibility of a TV-MA rating for the show. That added to the licensing issues means LOTR CMF is probably off the table for the foreseeable future. -
Well, some of those lime green parts would be good for plants. And I guess the black Technic beams could be used as pitch-covered wooden planks. In any event, that flag and sticker sheet will likely be in some demand on Bricklink. Look at the list of wanted colors for the unprinted large flag sometime.
-
That's actually a good thing. I see that flag used with all kinds of other stickers.

If I found a good way to portray Opus in Lego, I'd use that for a scene from The Night of the Mary Kay Commandos. It's one of the more awesomely ridiculous storylines from the comic strip Bloom County by Berkeley Breathed.

Given that 43102-43107 use the word Beatbox in their name, I wonder if this 2021 part found by Brickset might be part of the sets. The leaked price for these sets is on par with the Disney Princesses book sets.

Chrome won't load anything with the link. I tried direct linking to a page with one of my notifications, and it still didn't work. Edit: I just checked the Forum Information and Help page, and there a couple of threads from the end of last month about other pages having the same problem.

The Vidiyo teaser page is up. I can't seem to get the music button to work, so if anyone else can, please post what it's supposed to be.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion

Now that I have the Centaur body in hand, I have to say that I prefer the Brickforge version. I have the Stormer print in white (not currently being produced). The official version is small enough to be a child in comparison, so with the right heads the two I got will still be useful. -

I was on the Lego US website today, and a lot of things were out of stock. Give them time to meet demand. There is still a considerably reduced supply chain in the US right now. -

Brickset has a review of the 60287 Tractor up. There's a new 2x2x2/3 grill piece that appears in both black and tan. I usually take a pass on the farm sets, and I'll probably only get the parts I want from this from Bricks & Pieces, but there are a number of good parts here nonetheless.
