I had Red Hot Chili Peppers' Can't Stop repeating while I mowed the lawn in the hot Plorida sun. It seemed fitting.

I just realized that Deadpool could be used as a drow. We have a use!

Both Classic-Castle and Brickset have threads concerning this: CC here BS here Fortunately it seems that TLG is not faulting any consumer that gets caught up in the scam if they are notified. If you think you've been used to scam TLG, save all contact info and report it to TLG and your local police. From what I can tell they like to use fake credit cards for the purchase with your name and address, so be aware you may have credit rating issues, or even be charged with recieving stolen property. If they have enough of your information, you may have an identity theft issue.

All good points, and quite probably the closest to the mark. I do also think that TLG takes into consideration convention event arenas and secondary vendors. I live in Florida; we are a big tourism state. We have a Lego Store in Downtown Disney and now Legoland Florida in Winter Haven. Visiting either of these places is not ecconomically feasible for me, though. I live aprox. thirteen miles from Gainesville, which is a big college sports town with arenas big enough to hold conventions, but it also has three Walmarts, Sam's Club, Target, TRU, Books A Million, Barnes & Noble, and a host of other stores that carry TLG products. Given all this, I don't see a Lego Store opening within regular traveling distance from me anytime soon.

Does Anyone else find they frequently cross Themes?
gedren_y replied to Faefrost's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Go re-watch the original Ghostbusters movie. I usually buy for parts and figs, but I could see some of the second wave of Ninjago fitting in with Pharaohs Quest. The dragons from Ninjago could be dropped into a castle setting with little to no changes. Exoforce was basicly an Earth based sci-fi (read Gundam knock-off) so nearly all of those sets worked well with nearly all of the Space themes. Someone needs to get ahold of an actual TLG set designer and ask the big question: "Do you design any of your sets with theme crossing in mind?" -
Short Story: Mugging in town gone wrong or right?

The businessman pulled a Jackie Chan move. He must have seen Rush Hour. -
Beauitiful. Be at rest, Quinn. What I got from the perspective (that of the grave keeper) is that Quinn is burried near the far edge of the burrial grounds, and that most of the other cairns are behind de Gothia.

Check out the Brickforge front page to see the '2012 Doomsday Bugout Pack' that will be available at BrickMagic. To those who get to go, count yourself lucky.

Quest for the water crystal - The isle with no name

Your welcome, and thanks for the info. Vetruvian Minifig was one of the tiles I thought it could be. It seems quite appropriate, too. Gotta get me some. -
How can I build my own opaque door?
gedren_y replied to Sabrien Reed's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Are you a purist? Because I would simply get the trans doors and paint. Tape off handles, thin edges and hinge studs, so that the paint doesn't interfere with the actual working of the door or the placement of doorknobs. -

Quest for the water crystal - The isle with no name

Wonderful MOC, and at the moment it's in the running for at least part of my vote. Do you have any more angles on the private council chambers? I was hoping to see what the center detail behind Erudhalion is; the first image gives us only a glimpse. -
Wow! Inspired! And I can actually buy the instructions, most wonderful of all!

A wonderful addition to the theme's line-up. Perfect for a classic Aquazone scene.

Actually, I have no interest in the minifigs that come on the pens, just the detail pieces. Only the R2-D2 pens appear to be not so far off the mark. I do Sci-Fi but I don't do Star Wars. I like to make my own mythology. If I do get the pens I want, I will probably offer up the pen-figures up for trade. I will keep any capes, though.
-
Are the connection points of the beads from Lego Pens system compatable? I ask because some of the bead pieces look like they would make wonderful detail pieces, and I wanted to know if it would work before I make purchases. Bricklink only has a limited range of beads that are purchasable as separate parts, and the colors I want are nearly all only available as part of the pen sets.

A fine build in a classic Space theme. From looking at your design, you could probably just turn the pilot's legs around and attatch it horizontally to the four black studs at the back of the cockpit. (Using reverse legs is how I have medieval minifigs kneel to pray.)

Target has a release date of Wed, May 16th. The bus that runs from here to my closest Target runs on Tues and Thurs, so I'll be riding with George instead of Richard.

Can't wait! I watched the video and spied arctic foxes, new animal? If so, yes!!!! Looks like it will be north pole, so, no penguins. The color orange makes sense to me. What color are you most likely to make out in a blizzard. It's also an Alaskan Coast Guard color. Maybe we'll get some Bering sea crab fishermen. This seems to be taking the place of Power Miners. Atlantis and Pharaohs Quest are an off-shoot of the same storyline, and Monster Hunters seems to be taking over that slot. If we get an arctic fox, maybe we'll get a brown, orange or grey fox in the City forestry sub-theme. Just re-watched it and saw what appear to be a seal and a walrus. Plus the little video of minifigs mountain-climbing. More to hope for.

In the swamp creature set, is that a new trans-green color? The 1x1 tiles, I mean.

Looks like they aren't available anymore. The site shop link no longer works. They may in fact be a copyright infringement.

It may look a little angular, but this is what I meant. Condog 1 by gedren_y, on Flickr Corndog 2 by gedren_y, on Flickr I hope this helps.

Wonderful street vendor trucks, but your right, the pig in a blanket doesnt look optimal. Maybe you could change it into a corndog. I believe the parts are available in LDD.
