  1. PC, using Chrome.
  2. No complaint about the need to run ads. However, on all three of the Pirates forum pages the ads don't get their own dedicated space, and instead cover the top of the page functions. Here's hoping this can get sorted soon.
  3. Of the molds designed for Aquazone, the ones that lasted the longest were Cone 2 x 2 x 1 2/3 Octagonal and Propeller Housing. The first lasted to 2002 with the Fort Legoredo reissue, and the second lasted until 2005 because of its utility in other themes. Royal Knights, Adventurers, and Time Cruisers got some use out of the Brick, Modified Octagonal 2 x 2 x 3 1/3. That part is likely what most people want back from that line.
  4. Resurrecting the discussion on an updated Dragon Masters, New Elementary just did a look at some villain figs from the Dreamz theme, and the molded cape of this fig seems to be a perfect fit. On a side note, am I the only one seeing the dual molded swords in Dreamz looking like they began as the two versions of Lion-O's sword from when Lego was trying to get the Thundercats license? We already have pretty good intel that a number of the designs from that attempt became Legends of Chima.
  5. Black conical helmets would definitely work from a nostalgic standpoint, IMO, since they were widely used for Dragon Knight footsoldiers. Though of course if it wouldn't be as exciting as the more ornate cavalry helmets from a parts standpoint. As iconic as the dragon-shaped helmet ornaments were, I feel like the helmets themselves were just as integral to the "look" of higher ranking Dragon Knight/Dragon Master minifigs — especially since the Black Knights had already used the same dragon-shaped ornaments on more generic helmet pieces. And I strongly doubt that LEGO has Dragon Knight inspired helmet AND helmet accessory designs waiting in the wings. Of course, LEGO could also throw us all for a loop by replacing the Dragon Knight minifigure with a different character entirely, such as a modernized version of the Black Knight, Willa the Witch, or the Black Monarch's Ghost. After all, even though the original set was a Dragon Knights/Dragon Masters set, Majisto's current incarnation from 10305 does not appear to have exclusive authority over or loyalty to that faction. And from a play perspective, Majisto was the "star" of the original set, while the Dragon Knight was a supporting character whose role could just as easily be played by a different LEGO Castle character. A reimagined Dragon Masters knight could do something even crazier by using the dragon costume headgear that we got in the CMF series 18 & 23. Either in the classic black, with red horns and printed teeth, or pearl dark grey with black printing to indicate that the upper head is the helmet's hinged visor.
  6. There might be a reason for affordability. The villa appears to be located in a dry wash. As the person who named the small group of islands, I'm glad the area is getting more interest. Oh, and I almost forgot, a link to this thread in the Ceniza Bajo settlement thread would be welcome.
  7. It might take a bit of doing, but all those black slopes could go some ways towards a brick built hull. I also have uses for pink and purple. The fantasy elements are making me want to step back into some other themes as well.
  8. Actually the baldric did reappear in The Lone Ranger sets, which means they are license controlled by either Disney (likely), or Jerry Bruckheimer Films (probably not).
  9. I'm guessing that there are some reprintings of Crahaish neh Triuri religious text there. And probably a couple of the Midori Almanacs that included reprints of Truachesh explorer maps.
  10. What we probably all would love is the pirate ship town from Hook (not gonna happen), but a good representation from the Disney Peter Pan would be welcome. On the POTC front: IIRC Depp was originally contracted for five POTC sequels, but was released early. He isn't listed as being connected to the, currently untitled, POTC 6 on IMDB (one of the few Disney movies Bruckheimer is still attached to). Depp has a couple of movies in post production, one an animated movie continuing a voice role he's been doing for some time, and the other a French bio pic where he plays Louis XV. The costumes on that second film would be great fodder for some pirates figs, but the story is too adult, plus it's in French, so there would be too small an interest in the North American market (I might look for it on streaming at some point). The director of the last POTC movie is attached to the hopefully upcoming POTC 6, and the scriptwriter listed is the creator of Chernobyl, and The Last of Us. Could be good, and very Lego worthy.
  11. Check his neck for a royal birth certificate.
  12. "Just blast the miscreant with the long gun, and be done with it. His title don't mean a can of horse meat, and his WTC crazies will just follow the next guy in line," roared one of the Triuri faithful in Eslandola's colors. ------------------------------------------------- Everyone's favorite dynamite thrower steps into the fray. I'm glad I got my ships out of there.
  13. Did I miss that? It had to have been a serious engagement, because she was a tough little ship. Just look at her. I'd be all for sistershipping her if it would be okay to do a derivation on the name, rather than simply adding a "II" to the end, to avoid confusion.
  14. I still have to do a full write-up on the history of the Truachesh neh Triuri, and their Crahaish neh Triuri. The Eslandola leadership recognized as canon the Crahaish maps "proving" that there had been previous exploration of the New Haven Sea as part of an Adventure thread. (One of my political campaigning builds was used as part of the impetus, and I made @Capt Wolf's Willem Guilder grumpy in it.)
  15. I wasn't trying to devalue your opinion, but the way you worded it implied it was an overwhelmingly held one.
  16. I think you are overstepping a little with your opinion there. KKII had some of the best heraldry designs, and some of the figs just needed a bit of swapping in of neutral colors underneath the bright bodywear and visors. Some of the set designs are a somewhat ridiculous, but how many of we AFOLs actually keep playsets as Lego designed them? A handful of the builds from the sets, though, are usable in diorama builds. The Castle of Morcia set had the idea of swapping faction control, and included the parts to do so, which is something I wish Lego would have continued with. Even the giant figure builds offered some useful parts in interesting colors.
  17. This whole recent discussion about Nexo Knights stems from a comment about how long Castle has been in hiatus. The point was that Lego internally considers Nexo Knights to be a Castle theme, so they do not consider Castle to have been gone as long as most AFOLs do. The original comment was making both points. There is no need to argue.
  18. I missed the tall legs when I saw the Avatar images earlier. Now we can do a purist Fezzik for The Princess Bride.
  19. Hmm. Someone there doesn't seem to have been bribed. That can be taken a few ways. Too ethical? Not worth bothering to bribe? Agreed with the proposal already?
  20. *sings* "Jayne . . . the man they call Jayne . . ." (Browncoats know the rest.)
  21. Then they would be going the Tiny Toons route, and probably include Pinky and the Brain as well. I wouldn't mind that, as some lesser used Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies characters got better screen time with that generation of shows. I could see a one-off Animaniacs set being the Warner Bros. Tower with various rooms inside, including Yacko's map of the world (though some countries have changed since that was produced). They'd all need pin holes in the heads for headgear changes, and some other accessories for costume changes.
  22. With the Muppets there can be a number of variants thanks to some nice Muppets takes on great classics, like Muppet Treasure Island. Come to think of it, The Hispaniola from the movie with a good portion of the characters would be a great set.
  23. Here's the brothers brick review.
  24. How did I miss this? I just saw the Facebook post for the upcoming set. It sure looks like the G1 Optimus Prime toy from back in the day. I can see why they don't have knee articulation, which a lot of Optimus figs didn't have for the needed stability. I didn't have one of the originals, but friends did, so I remember handling it (and the gun/tank Megatron). I still have some G1 season 1 episodes on VHS that I bought off of a video rental place.
  25. There are also some issues with WB right now. I don't know if the work WB has done with the games is part of a larger licensing deal that covers the cross-media enterprise between them and Lego, or if the video games, movies, and sets each have their own separate agreements. I bring this up because WB is in the process of splitting off the gaming development studio, and I think are looking to sell. There was a segment of the CUPodcast that got uploaded to YouTube that partially covered the announcement.
