  1. "Now's really not a good time to mess up the Sealing spell, Atramor! Gods know, you've had enough practice! And Nyx, my dear, you absolutely walloped me with that healing staff, give yourself the biggest hit you can manage!" Tarn tried to inject some levity ino his voice but seeing William crumple to the ground for a second time affected him. He knew that could be any of them, with their health so low. Part of him was telling himself to play it safe from the back row, to think of the long game, but the fire in his blood was raging, and he was not going to back down now. He was about to attack one of the Commanders but Lyons' mocking laughter echoed in his head and he was not going to turn away from the burly Knight. "You'll need more than a Phoenix Essence when I'm finished wiping your bloody remains off my axe, Lyons!" he bellowed, taking him on from the front row. I think I finally worked out what Tarn will be as an advanced class
  2. I followed this one closely as I'd really enjoyed playing in Quest#11, and once again WBD did really well, balancing an engaging storyline along with puzzles and interesting enemies to fight. One thing I do think this Quest showed was how powerful a group of Advanced Classes are - it seemed like pretty much every battle the enemies were stunned for several rounds at a time.
  3. In the slowed-down moments before the fray is joined, Tarn turns to Phil, "Gratitude for your kind words. You honour me by fighting alongside me. May our weapons find their mark this day, to save Dastan!" Tarn then likewise lowers his voice for his next words, ."Ella is certainly a special lady, her amazing talents matched by her beauty and grace. But she is the daughter of an Emperor, and I am a mere peasant boy, brought up in a small village far from these lands."
  4. "Let us hope that we are not hit by anyone! Knowing that a blow from anyone will finish me, I will head straight for Lyons and wipe that smug grin off his face (from the front row)!"
  5. The wheel sits in between two sloped pieces so you do need to flick it out using the rod as detailed in the review pics. It doesn't just roll off.
  6. Tarn surveyed the scene with grim satisfaction after his whirling swipes with Helbaerend had thinned the ranks of the soldiers they faced. He set himself once more and attacked Rogue Lion Commander B from the Back row.
  7. "Atramor is right, a Phoenix Essence revives someone with full health. Normally I would take on the biggest enemy but I think we need to whittle down the soldiers first." Tarn attacks Rogue Pikeman B from the front row.
  8. Much like Brinstar I was very underwhelmed by the London Escape set. Very small tavern for the price. I got both of these sets roughly a third off in a 3 for 2 deal and the Mill is definitely a better set. I think you would be happy with the pieces in this one as you said you don't mind the castle wall panels. But for me the draw of the set was the Mill playset.
  9. This set works as an iconic scene, with the minifigures and the wheel playability. However it's not really a great parts pack. Whitecap Bay would be much better in that regard, as a lot of the structures are brick built. This one has a lot of panels.
  10. Tarn frowned as he readied his holy bomb from the back row. He had flashbacks to when he had used the XX bomb. The cries and screams of those it had hit, and he himself being knocked out by its vicious blast. He didn't want to use this bomb either, but he knew Atramor had a knack for tactics and followed his idea.
  11. Yes, should have worked that out between us CMP! "Ella did say that there were tunnels under the city, didn't she? She even lead us down one to take on Brunt. How could we have been so blind not to put it all together? Thank you Felton, you have done well figuring this out."
  12. Tarn spoke low to his friends. "I think that's a U'Kin, due to the repetition of the names. Let us be on our guard."
  13. Tarn whispers to Nyx, "You're already under his skin, Nyx. I suggest you take the lead in the interrogation. You may get him to say something important whilst he is so flustered."
  14. "So the Chimera was causing the eerie mist we saw after we came back up from the buried Brunt wall, interesting. I am pleased that you vanquished it, what a battle that would have been!"
  15. "It is good to see you all again!" grinned Tarn, after he looks wistfully at the departing Ella. "As Atramor asks, what adventures have befallen you since we all split up?"
  16. "Glad to see you again, Mr Thothwick. Ella here requested our assistance with a troubled spirit, a former Emperor of Dastan called Brunt. It was a long battle but Atramor's tactics were sound and we triumphed. How it relates to our situation here, I do not know, but I trust Ella and Mallelio so it must help our cause. I hope that we can get some answers from this inventor, because I still do not feel we are being told the whole story."
  17. A great choice Bob! Good luck to the Fleet Admiral and the crew of the Excalibur 2.0!
  18. I don't know if I am too late, but since I did PM first, I'll just put my name in here too. Good luck to whoever gets picked.
  19. I don't estimate page counts - not sure why you would want to - but both my Quest lengths have been pretty much what I anticipated they would be.
  20. He's still adventuring in Quest#30 in Dastan. He's just finished a sidequest with Atramor

  21. Hey Endgame, now you know the number one QM rule: No Quest survives contact with the players!
  22. Yes, I am also enjoying the RP. Tarn and Atramor have an interesting dynamic. It's strange that they consider each other friends when their world views are so different.
  23. The thing I am tinkering with is something a bit different and I'm sure I will need a lot of consultation with Sandy before it is approved.
  24. I normally lurk through these revbiews but just wanted to say that this is an absolutely outstanding review - the photography is first class, the comparisions with not just the source material but older versions are very useful, and there is a nice smattering of humour and fun in the descriptive text. Great stuff Kiel!
  25. Agreed, Jeb's Quests are always very entertaining and really well-produced (like the big map pic). Already a quality read this early in the Quest.
