  1. Very nice 'lt'. Going back to making tools again? It's been a long while, hope to see many more
  2. The most recent that I can recollect, I saw 15+ boxes of brand new Mindstorm NXT systems in my college advisors office. Being my day of enrolling I was at first very surprised, then realized, oh yeah, I'm here for engineering. I made a comment to another student in there, who was equally surprised and followed with "I love building Lego!". I suppose it went from weird to awesome
  3. I don't seek out MISB, at least for discontinued sets, as they are way to much for a budgeted Lego consumer. I do have many newer city sets sealed for the same reason others do... No more room. I do plan to one day install my city in a much lager room and add the sets left in their boxes. If I did have the financial backing, I probably would buy MISB for all sets. Nothing like opening a brand new 6399 monorail... or so I hear. I also save a few MISB's for a later resale but, only to throw more money back into this hobby
  4. First off, I have too agree, this is a fantastic lot of great sets! And it is a pity you decided to part with them. Regarding your question on pricing, unfortunately you are more towards the premium on each lot. Don't get me wrong, they are worth every penny but, over the past few months (or year) I have acquired numerous of those sets. Pretty much all except the two shuttle launch sites, the oldest fire department, and the larger police precinct. Most of them were at bottom dollar (lucky; no bidders; poor auction end time) or a few +- dollars within original RRP on eBay. For example is an example of an item I won at over half off ORRP. For some reason many are not fetching what they were a year ago. If you don't get any nibbles lower them a little or try parting them out. If you do decide to part them out, I would be interested in a few of the sets from each of the lots early October. Best of luck!
  5. Great find 'LegoSjaak'. I have to say most of these sets look pretty good. I am though, not a big fan of a few of the rescue sets (off road fire truck or police car). Others, I can't wait to get my hands on
  6. A big + 1 for 'Edmond Dantes', Thank you!
  7. Today I won 4642 Fishing boat for $13.99. I purchased, a couple days ago from EB member 'EdmondDantes', an order of 2 7567 Travelers 8401 Minifig Collection, 2 7684 Pig Farms, 7639 Camper, 7638 Tow Truck, and 3180 Tanker Truck. He supplied a total quickly and shipped promptly after receiving payment, wasting no time. A trusted seller in my book, thanks 'ED'
  8. Great job getting this together. I really like the detail surrounding the track. Excellent job. Any plans to finish the streets below?
  9. These re some great designs 'Jalkow'. I really like your modern styling, very elegant and an awesome twist for some old parts. I hope to see more from this collection
  10. SOOO Envious! What a deal too I didn't want to start a new topic just for this but, today I received my 3677 Red Cargo Train and I was a bit perplexed. It was bought straight from Lego S@H and paid for by "so-and-so" and shipped directly to me. The invoice from Lego says $159.99, it's retail, yet I bought it now from "so-and-so" for $124.99, shipping on eBay. The same thing happened a couple months ago when I purchased the Grand Emporium for $129.99, no ship. Any ideas on why someone would take this king of dive or is there something else I'm missing?
  11. This is really a very well done detailed MOC 'Blake Baer'. You did a fantastic job recreating a scene of destruction. I love the rough water and the wind blown trees. Great job
  12. Thats pretty neat 'Boscoku'. I also bought a few copies of this set but, haven't combined any yet. Just ideas. It's nice to see them built, I now know what to look forward to. Great job
  13. "Stella Artois" Porsche; Great beer, awesome car. That is one bad a** car. Great build
  14. My worst experience with a "missing" package was last year. I ordered 9v train tracks from a vendor from Germany. They had reputable 1000+ POS feedback but, after a little over a month of "no show" I started sending, "where is my item" messages. It took a couple more weeks before I received a response, saying it had been retuned to sender, due to it needing a signature upon arrival. I was never home for it's sig. request and did not receive of those "Attempted Delivery Slips". Eventually I got the tracks but, they tried to charge me with a second shipping charge, which I declined to pay for lack of info on shipping, as there was no delivery confirmation and no contact until item was returned to sender. I was satisfied though, perturbed it took so long for the message response
  15. That might be to uneconomical for one single part per bag ([x(piece price) + x(bags]) = excess in ziplocks). But, like you said in your second post numerous small bulk purchases could work. (e.g. - 10 or 20 1x4 tiles for x amount of dollars would seem much appealing IMO. Or maybe a combo pack that has pieces for a similar build (e.g. 1x4 tiles + 1x4 bricks etc). In that case, 'RubeusHagid', all you'd need to do is design a dispensing system similar to that of a soda or snack machine with smaller and more dispenser rows and shelves. This sounds like a great idea and I hope I could help (even if a little). Best of luck
  16. Trains, trains, trains... Bought 3677 Red Cargo Train for $125 and finally won 4565 Freight and Crane Railway for $98
  17. Neat cars 'Polish Guy'. That "Bosozoku" style is really is very radical and the hot rods are very good recreations. Great job on these
  18. Awesome MOC 'Piotr'. This thing looks awesome, a spot on recreation. I'm gotta check the videos on this car. Great job
  19. Yeah, like 'wooootles' said, late next year. We'll probably be saying goodbye to "Fire Brigade" this year. The past few modulars have been averaging a 24-27 month runs. Fire Brigade is on 25 in U.S. and just ended in U.K. in August. Grand Emporium is on its 18 month Reference is from Brickset, of course
  20. Early this morning I bought the 7894 Airport from 2007 for $79
  21. Very nice selection of locos 'rstudio'. All are great but, my favorites are the Orange, Dark Green, Black, and Yellow w/ red and green stripes for sure. Awesome job
  22. Great MOC 'mifody', much better than the TLG's version. Love the work on the interior. Two stories really make it right. Who would have guessed TLG would be prepared with $100 bills. After all you really can't see a movie (with popcorn without a Benjamin these days Great build
  23. Awesome western scene 'lisqr'. I love all the details in this diorama, excellent job
  24. Wow, that is a lot GOOOLLLD! Neat train though, is it PF or non-powered?
  25. This site, Rivertons.com, has free shipping. I'm not sure if that is the lowest price for the magnets but, other sites are also around $13 something per 20
