Great job recreating this odd-looking engine 'michaelozzie'. You nailed this MOC, I was surprised how much it looks like the photo of the actual unit. Excellent work
-
Great auto-transport 'Ricecracker' and neat little 4 wides to go with it. Looks like the bed has a good deal of hinges to load a bunch of cars. Excellent job
-
This looks great so far. And finally seeing so pic of your overall city is great. I love seeing large layouts. Keep up the great work
-
Awesome law firm and bakery 'cimddwc'. Your street is really coming together nicely. Keep up the great work

Today I won some great deals. I won a big lot of boats including 4031 Firefighter, 4021 Police Patrol, 2 4011 Cabin Cruisers, 4010 Police Rescue Boat, 6483 Police Patrol, 1792 Pleasure Cruiser, and 6679 Dark Shark all for $50 + $18 to ship. I plan to only keep 4031, maybe 6483 and 6679. I will be selling the rest to make the money back. In another auction I won another 6337 Fast Track Finish and 6649 Street Sweeper $17.50 + $7 to ship. A great day to eBay Edit: Won another auction with 6490 Amazon Crossing for $10 + $5 shipping Time to update Brickset

Granted it probably won't happen but, who knows. They could sell the h**l out of those Maersk cars. They don't even have to spend much time or money investing in a new train car. Just give them their own box and call it 10220 Maersk Rolling Stock. Half the work is already done . I too, have purchased numerous EN's, Maersks, numerous older 9Vs for the same reason. I'm just not sure if I want to keep the extra engines or resell them...

Another fantastically detailed creation 'ABear'. I really like this one (big fan of crab)! Excellent job!

Classic town vs City sets, which are your favorite?
LEGO Guy Bri replied to jd5775's topic in LEGO Town
I never got over missing out on most of the great city sets from the early-mid 90's and this is the only theme I collect. Well that and a few vehicle sets from themes like Indi Jones or The Adventurers. I also love to look at others city layouts, which led me to join here. You do make a good point. It is a bit strange to compare, or even consider 4644 a marina at all. More like a life guard stand and surf shop... with a boat. 6543 is one of my top ten favorite sets of all time. -
That and a MOD is "My Own Design" as in something created using a building software like Lego Digital Design (LDD) ect. For other references to acronyms used around here check THIS out. It comes in handy

LEGO Perot Museum of Science and Nature
LEGO Guy Bri replied to Mariann Asanuma's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow, that is awesome. The inside looks good as the exterior. It looks like this took quite some time. Very well done . Is that glue used? -
Awesome set of locos 'helos'. The colors are awesome! Especially the lime one. Very well done

Thats right, I totally forgot. I have only built the train but, never assembled R/C tracks. My set up was 9V

Classic town vs City sets, which are your favorite?
LEGO Guy Bri replied to jd5775's topic in LEGO Town
I have to go with the newer sets. As with the general consensus, more detail + unique elements = better model. That is not to say I don't like the classics. Some of the 90's sets beat the heck out of recents. 6543 Sail N' Fly Marina and 6339 Shuttle Launch and the older airports are prime examples. Apart from that 90% of my old displayed city was classic and thats pretty much all I purchased after leaving my "dark age" in 2009. As soon as I can move them into a bigger room I will join classic and new city sets together. I feel your pain, I'm still trying to get that set -
A couple good deals on eBay today. 3181 Passenger Plane for $30 an 3366 Satellite Launch Pad and Van and 7236 Prisoner Transport for $30. Saved $20

I'd like to see rolling stock. Preferably additional Maersk rolling stock. I'm sure TLG could make profit offering individual cars for those wanting a larger train. I'd say the same for the EN but, it is on it's last bend. And like everyone else has mentioned, more trackside features. Better train station for sure but, more importantly a new cargo yard! We have all these cargo trains and nowhere to offload. Edit: How was the overall success of My Own Train? I know I bought them

Neat little home and garden scene 'BlueBard'. Great job on this detailed build
-
Awesome loco 'Stefanwest'. I love seeing the classic Santa Fe colors on this class of engine. This one looks great! Very well done
-
Excellent modular precinct 'chroute'. Love all the details you installed in a small space. Very well done

Very nice 'snaillad'. This building looks great! I love the work on the exterior and from what I can see the interior is just as elegant. More shots please?! Can't forget the old van either. Like 'lt said, I want one too! Great job

It's available now at Lego.com/US for $159.99. Yay August! Funny, it has 831pcs vs. 7939's 839pcs. For 9 more elements, an additional $20??

Thanks for your comment 'lt'. I suppose it is like a monster truck, to the minifig scale
