Absolutely, there is a demand, just not a lot of return profit, unless you stay at it. Most likely due to there current availability from LEGO. I am, though, happy these guys do that. It saves me a bunch of time and possibly money, as well, buying a few off them, instead of piecing them together off BL or parting out a set for one or two cars

Awesome trucks Oran! Might have to add some to my collection. I love the big 4x4's and the green one with the truck camper is another favorite. I really like the dually look

MOC: Vertical Boiler Logging Tramway Loco
LEGO Guy Bri replied to Locomotive Annie's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Sounds like a relatively easy solution. I wasn't quite sure if any PF motor could even fit inside the boiler (haven't used them... yet). I'd like to see what you come up with regarding the battery box- 9 replies

MOC: Vertical Boiler Logging Tramway Loco

Neat little build Locomotive Annie. Very primitive indeed, but I like older things from yesteryear and this fits in. I am interested on how you could power it, while hiding the motor, unless you decide to paint it brown to mimic the boiler- 9 replies

Good point, I forgot to take that into account. The ship's 2nd run was for a year in a half; that is an odd license term length, other than that, I can't find any more data to base availability on. Get it while you can!

Very cool diesel Tearloch! I didn't realize how big this would be until I saw the brick built. I do love the color. Will there be an interior?

I agree that it is a bit of a nuisance now, to get more rolling stock for trains. I have built my own, as well as purchased extra cars from sets. Had I not been in my Dark Age during the Sante Fe and TTX cars, I'd probably have a lot more. As for Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, etc, it always seemed to be confusing to them on what exact set to get at a store or how to order. Call mine G.parents old fashioned (I know not all are), but they still don't have a computer or care to (gift cards, cash/check and those f*****g sweaters, everyone gets, was easier). And from what I remember, there wasn't much of the rolling stock, if any, available at the toy stores, at least not the Wal-Mart, TRU, etc, near me. I relied on B-day and Christmas, S@H gifts from my parents for my early 9V stuff. Seeing my much younger brother's friends grow up with LEGO trains, I noticed that they didn't care how they're train's stock looked. They just liked to make them as long as they could. I can't imagine many kids would, I know I didn't. They seemed to rather get one of each train available and lash them together. Maybe it seems easier or a better deal for some parents to get multi-cars and track in one box, instead of getting one car at a time. Just my opinion On the contrary, unless you're selling Maersk stuff, the sellers aren't making as much as you'd think, at least in the U.S. I did that with a couple of the 7638 Cargo Trains and made about $10-15 over MSRP. If you do a rough average, dividing sale price avg. and number of item's per train, they are within $10 bucks. At least that's what I noticed buying and selling that way. Once they are discontinued, that may change, definitely with the Maersk

According to Brickset, 10194 E. Night was available from April 1, 2009-November 25, 2011 (Dec. 4, '11 U.K.). So, 2 years and almost 8 months. 10219 Maersk Train was released April 6, 2011. They ran in tandem for a little over 7 months. Being out for a year and 7 months now, EOL is quite suprising. I figured it would at least have over a 2 year shelf life... I hope it does, or at least stay in stock at S@H, since I don't live near a LEGO retail store

Really nice work deen! Your toy store looks great! I love the design and colors

Cool sport cars Oran! I like the look of the front of the second car, a cross between a big luxury car grill with a sleek, rounded, sport look over the wheels Edit: Red for the first and light grey or white for the second

Beautiful skyscraper Skrytsson! I've always wandered how some of these buildings are built with a twist. I think this looks even better in the dark, lit up! Great job
-
Neat shop, very brightly colored! Suites a flower shop well. I really like the look of the angled front and the awning and the detailed interior. Great modular

Cool truck HIGHWAY PATROL. Very detailed, I really like the chrome accents and the swinging boom, something I wish the truck from 7642 Garage had. Anyway great MOC

While I don't see it as stupid, it does bother me a bit that uniforms change. On the one hand, mixing uniforms looks off to me, but I have done that since my first sets from the '90s. On the other hand, I love how the 'suits' get more more and realistic My sentiment exactly; when is enough, enough? My growing problem are Police sets, but Fire is catching up! I am just wandering the basis of this burning building. I figure when abandoned buildings (this one being boarded up) go up, it's more likely arson, but I'm no Fire Investigator. I think a building with occupants, that catches fire, something "accidental", (cooking accident or something) would be better. Give the Fire Chief something to do besides getting a cat out of a tree. But then again I don't really care, I'm just glad the only reason to get a fire truck out is just to save a cat, even though we also get one

[MOC] "I fly in now" Episode VI last attack on the Death Star
LEGO Guy Bri replied to markus1984's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Awesome scale diorama markus1984! I love the view in the first pic. It looks even bigger than what it is. Even at the mini scale, the details are fantastic -
Quite possibly the coolest LEGO Chess set I've seen. I'm not a big fan of LotR, I do like the story behind and films, don't get me wrong, but this is still something I would LOVE to have and play! The roles are perfect and the board looks wonderful. And Gollum, very nice to include him. Great job on this

Bought a second sealed set of 8909 Team GB minifigs for about $4.27/fig shipped from England

Exactly how I feel about the fire sets. They are still nice and I love the trucks and drk red helmets, but the buildings aren't quite up to par. I would have preferred no new fire station; using that set size as a new hospital and the 60002 [House Fire], close to the size/piece count of the current hospital... 4429 Helicopter Rescue is just too small, more of a medical center than full hospital. As for the police sets, they are pretty good, IMO. I am wandering about the new color for the vehicles: white/dark blue? The Police van in 60008 Museum Break-in looks almost identical to 3661 Bank & Money Transfer's van... Is this going to be the new blue for Police, or is this just a small sub-subtheme? LEGO Police (graveyard shit)? The best part, like Jargo, and many others have said, "fantastic minifigures"!

Very nice scene andyscouse It was great to see what the Town Hall would've looked like if it were a modular. Great work

On eBay I bought a BNIP 8909 Team GB set Been waiting for the Double VIP thing, so... 1 - 850425 LEGO Business Card Holder 1 - 5441 Hillside House 1 - 21101 Hayabusa 2 - 10219 Maersk Trains, probably the last two I'll buy A bit bummed; while using my VIP Reward points, I lost 150 of my new reward points on the order
-
Great layout Xyver! I love looking at the pics, you have some great modulars! How long did it take for you to unpack, set up, then repack for the event?
-
Cute mod slovakiasteph, or is it a MOC? Anyway, I like the split level and compact design. It doesn't take up much precious space
-
Great corner modular Cunctator! I really like how the first floor is divided into the pizzeria and bike shop, as opposed to one per floor. And the dark blue, tan, and gray really look good together

Very nice work paostmo, I love the exterior design and the color
