It was a cloudy day in Mooreton bay as the trial was set to begin. Location: Charlatan Bay Type: Large Factory He air hung heavy with the screams of horses and the scent of blood as Charlatan Bay's most industrial factory worked hard to create a vital product. Horse sausage Factory by North White, on Flickr Horses were brought in on small boats to the edge of Charlatan Bay, where the factory worked hard to process them. The WTC Riff Raft brought in two an hour on a good day. Horse sausage Factory by North White, on Flickr Completed Sausages were smoked in a small smokehouse built on the remains of the captains cabin. Horse sausage Factory by North White, on Flickr But Unfortunately, the Horses had to be sheared and dehoofed before they could be made into sausages, which was the bottleneck of the operation. Horse sausage Factory by North White, on Flickr But, once they were liberated, they could be ground down into sausages. It usually took a bit of prompting to force them into the grinder, but giving them a stiff drink beforehand usually weakened their resolve. Horse sausage Factory by North White, on Flickr And so, box after box of horsausage was made, smoked and shipped off into the colonies. Horse sausage Factory by North White, on Flickr FIN Hope you liked this build everyone. The factory is supposed to be built on a wrecked ship, next to an equally wrecked building, I'm just not sure how clear that is in the pictures. I really had fun with this one, and with all my Charlatan Bay builds in general. It was nice to have a change of atmosphere with my builds. I'll probably license the WTC Riff Raft in the future as a class 0, but I'm usually pretty lazy about doing so. C&C appreciated! Let me know if I should upload better photos as well, It's midnight here, and the light ain't to good.

Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II
Mesabi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
While I have your attention.... Dear Admiral Woodbrose, @SkaForHire I ask that you consider allowing the WTC to relieve and replace Cooke and or Hume as they have both effectively closed a major part of Corrington's trade network to us. If the WTC is not allowed to keep armed troops to guard it's warehouses, tavens, horse sausage factories, pants caves, and libraries, we have a significant problem doing business. As you are the only higher ranking member of the fleet we can reach out to at the moment, we humbly ask that you relieve, reprimand, and/or discipline these two hooligans. Sincerely, Agnes Mesabi OOC: Worth a shot? right? -

Mesabi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Uh... According to the Flowchart, isn't it the house of representatives, and then you're appointed to the Noble Parliament. Correct me if I'm wrong, that's just the way I saw things. Other points, You play both Cooke and Fletcher, so I think the responses would be similar. Ska has been MIA for like a year now. I mean he might beetlejuice here, but I don't expect anything more. Finally, at this point it's more about trying to get Hume and Cooke fired IC, not millitary action. We're pretty easily distracted, and we kinda just jump at whatever. Oh! And I believe this video sums up the WTC and Corrington (Warning, Mild Language) -

Before we continue this, I realized we kinda have a problem. So, my obvious next step would be to try and go over Cooke's head, which would be the Prime Minister, which is a role that hasn't been created yet. I'm just bringing this up. Maybe once we've resolved the whole Trial Business, we should hold an election or something? Just a thought. -

To Jonathan Cooke, The WTC formally requests your permission to Land a regiment in or near Mooreton Bay. While we have never had to request permission to place our troops in any settlement, we find do to the aggressive actions of "Mayor" "Hume" that requesting your permission is necessary. Firstly, the WTC Icarus Returning is loaded with highly explosive mining supplies. We cannot legally allow anyone else to handle said mining supplies for insurance reasons. We need to inspect, and move them to a warehouse in Mooreton Bay to insure the safety of the harbour, and it's inhabitants. Let's not have a repeat of the WTC Wolf's Blood. Secondly, we have become increasingly concerned with the treatment of WTC crew in Mooreton Bay. We have received Zero contact from them, other than the news of the "accidental" death of a marine. We find this highly suspicious, and request a review of his death. Thirdly, we must remind you that we are a Corrish entity, and thus respectful of Corrish laws. However, we are not based out of Mooreton Bay, and if "Mayor" "Hume" is mistreating our crew, that would put us in conflict with Mooreton Bay. We respect all of Corrington's laws, but we should not be expected to respect anyone who chooses to disrespect and misuse those laws, including, but not limited to, Abuse of Colonial Authority, Mistreatment of Corrish citizens, an ignorance of Habeas Corpus, A disregard of weapons of destruction, false imprisonment, failure to pay fines imposed by a Corrish entity, failure to release seized property, and gross disregard for Corlander Citizen's safety. As this is currently a conflict between the settlement of Mooreton Bay, and the WTC, we ask that you allow us to deescalate the situation. Thusly, we ask that you allow an armed regiment to land in Mooreton Bay, to disarm the Icarus Returning, release the crew not involved in the alleged acts of Piracy, and with your blessing, return the WTC Icarus Returning to Service. As we have already lost a man in a suspicious incident, we must keep our men armed to insure our safety. And Finally, we remind you that no other Trade Corporation has to ask, or has had to ask to place troops in a settlement. Regards, Agnes Mesabi OOC: Really having fun with this. But remember guys, we're all here to have fun. As Hot as IC tempers can be, we all need to be cool OOC. That goes for all of us. Anyways, I'd can't wait to see ya'll's IC responses. Whatever happens with this, Tyrell will still be tried in a court of Corrish Law. This is all about whether the crew and ship can be weaseled out. -
[MRCA Cor] The detention of Captain Tyrell - NEW CONTENT
Mesabi replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
To "Mayor" "Hume" Dear Sir, Perhaps you will appeal to economic reasons. As a Trading Company, the WTC needs to be able to import and export goods at will. With the Beacon currently being held, and the Icarus Returning being detained, we cannot be expected to make a profit and pay off our massive debts to the Bank of Corrington. And let me be clear here. The Icarus Returning is a ship. Ships are not sentient beings, and cannot commit Piracy. The Crew of the Icarus Returning are Crew. The Crew follows the will of the captain, and thus are probably not sentient. Holding non sentient beings on charges committed by someone else is cruel and unusual. Additionally, if the crew of the Icarus Returning are being held, they are the responsibility of Corrington, not the WTC. We are hereby not responsible for any acts of Razing, Piracy, Murder, Theft, Drunkenness, and Assassination the Crew of the WTC commits while being detained. We have had no contact with the crew since their detainment, and thus are not responsible for them, or their actions until we can reestablish contact. Preferably by giving command of the Icarus Returning to Mordo, and letting it sail away in peace. Finally, we must return to the economic problems faced by the WTC. As we cannot make a profit with our ships detained, we must fine you the cost of the WTC Icarus Returning. 600 Dbs. a month, until the ship and crew is returned. We will take you to court for lost trade profits. We are well within our rights to do so. Captain Tyrell will be tried in a court of Corrish law. We do not dispute that. We do however, dispute the holding of a WTC ship and crew. Regards, Agnes Mesabi Acting chair of the WTC OOC: Finally got the time to reply and properly drag myself into this mess. -
Absolutely fantastic build @Drunknok. I expected a lot when you told me you were building a big harbour for ML, and you really delivered. You are a credit to the WTC and Corrington as a whole. The detailing is superb, it really captures how I imagine Mesabi Landing to be. If I could add one criticism, I think the buildings could use interiors, but it's not a big issue. Keep up the fantastic work!

Location: Mooreton Bay Type: Large Arts and Culture The Mooreton Bay Courthouse sits in the downtown of Mooreton Bay. Courthouse by North White, on Flickr Inside, the courthouse was ready for the upcoming trial. Corrington v. Captain Tyrell... Courthouse by North White, on Flickr FIN No story today yet, I just wanted to get the courthouse up as a build. I would like this to be licensed as a large Art and Culture by Mooreton Bay, but if they won't take it, I'll just license it myself in January. Just let me know @Ayrlego. The interior is set up like an actual courthouse, and we'll be starting the trial within the week. (Hopefully) C&C appreciated!

Absolutely fantastic build @SilentWolf. It really captures the feel of a forest, and field. Absolutely excellent. Shame a 64x64 build is only a medium plantation, however.

I'm super curious too... I want to know what's on my island! Also, has anyone made an index of factories? I'm running out of ideas for what goods to produce in factories, because I don't want to repeat any builds. -

Thank You! I didn't use the upper part for a few reasons. First, I'm only allowed to build in lowtown, and the crane is part of hightown. Second, It's not really connected, it's more filler. Third, I didn't feel like it. What else do you call a cave where pants are produced?
-
Sorry! I'm a little excited about this. Is this a good example for these? Because I was kinda going a different direction. I was thinking We would do it kinda like a real court case. I would call some witnesses, the prosecutor would call some witnesses (Either you or @Bregir I figure) And then we'd have a jury vote. Let me be clear (OOC Statement) Tyrell did it. It's just a writing exercise in my opinion. Which is really fun, but less about building.

Hear Ye Hear Ye! Captain Tyrell, Rogue WTC Captain, has been detained by Corrish forces in Moorington Bay. His trial is due to commence soon, as allowed by Corrington's Laws. Corrish Law allows for a trial of the Accused's Peers, which is any seafaring Captain on the Brick Seas (I. E. You!) So, We are accepting applications for Jurors in the trial Please Post in this thread. Please post a character picture for your juror, a name, and a ship for them. I'd recommend not using a main story character. The Court trial date is tentatively set for the 20th. Stay Tuned to this topic for updates! Court Docket: Charges: Piracy, violation of Sovereign Treaties, Assault on Corish Officers, Improper Ship Docking Presiding Judge: TBA Prosecutor: TBA Defendant: Captain Tyrell @Mesabi Defense Attorney: Jake Cochran @Mesabi Jurors: TBA Defense Witnesses: Captain Cristoph Tyrell (Icarus Returning) @Mesabi Captain Caroline Carolina (Beacon) @Mesabi First Mate Frederick Hammers @Drunknok Allen Landon, Bank of Corrington Officer @Bregir @Bregir Hope I'm not overstepping my bounds here. But I thought this would be a good topic to make.

[MRCA Cor] The detention of Captain Tyrell - NEW CONTENT
Mesabi replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Well the WTC isn't happy with Tyrell's arrests, we do have to defer to Corrington's laws (For Now....) And, there's always time for a daring jail rescue Honestly I just joined Corrington because I liked the British Connotations. I'm really a Sea Rat at heart So, I've talked about this in PMs, But I will do all the builds for the trial of Tyrell. I plan to do a large courthouse in Moorington Bay. The WTC will defend the Captain, with a sleezy WTC Lawyer, as Corrington's laws allow. And, I will be applying for a royal charter at some point soon... -
Location: Charlatan Bay Type: Medium Factory The WTC had not been well received in Charlatan Bay. The Sight of the massive WTC Judgement had been regarded with disdain. But the WTC had a mission, to establish factories in the Colony. The First had been built by detonating a bunch of explosives in a small cave to enlarge it. There, the WTC worked on a new product. But all was not well. A drunken captain walked up the causeway to the factory, looking for blood. Pants factory by North White, on Flickr "Yah bloody bastards think you can force yer way into Charlatan after what Tyrell did? Well I think not." Said the angry, drunken captain. "Sir, please, we're not looking for trouble." Said the WTC Elite Guard. "Well Mr. Pistol Says you need to go away! Ain't that right Mr. Pistol?" Said the Captain "WTC needs to die!" Said the Captain in a falsetto Pants factory by North White, on Flickr The Elite Sighed. The Captain Cocked his gun. Pants factory by North White, on Flickr It took a quick slash of the blade to knock him back... Pants factory by North White, on Flickr Pants factory by North White, on Flickr Pants factory by North White, on Flickr "Now GET!" Yelled the Elite Pants factory by North White, on Flickr The Sea Rats dropped their remaining weapons and fled in a panic. Pants factory by North White, on Flickr Inside, work continued on the pants. Pants factory by North White, on Flickr Cloth was cut, and sewn into pants. They were piled, and then shipped. Far simpler than most factories. Pants factory by North White, on Flickr And Extra explosives were kept on hand in case of "emergency..." FIN Thanks for viewing my first reparation factory for Charlatan Bay. I read up on the colony, and really liked the idea of the tall cliffs feature of the island. So, I decided to build a cliffside factory, which probably hasn't been done recently. @Kwatchi said I couldn't have my Elites killing anyone (Even in self defense apparently ) So I hope this is a fair compromise. Technically, This is a part of lowtown, though I'd say it's about halfway up the cliff. Storywise I'm happy with it, though I don't think this will make my top 10. C&C appreciated! More pictures.
