Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
BrickArtist replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Here's my nightmare-The series ending with R2, Ahsoka, Rex, and Anikan all facing with their backs facing the camera, and the show just ends. No explanation, just a little "And they live happily ever after fighting for the republic", "Wait what, anikan didn't have a padawan in RotS?...Really?"..."Writers, anything?"..."Nobody?"..."Yes you in the back." "Oh, uh,ok, so... Ahsoka was behind Anikan in an Arc-170, when she was uhm...tragically shot down by a Tri-fighter....uhmm..yeah that's what happened." -
Very nice! Great store, great prices. I'll place an order for my next UCS soon
-
This is the exact problem that I had-All TCW episodes that included this section of the bridge are out of focus or unclear. At some point I will likely do the entire bridge at minifig scale, which would be sorta cool to get an idea pf what a minifig-scale Venator would look like...

KimT, your link just links to the EB topic. I'll put it on my post until you edit yours, if you don't mind Blog linky

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

Well, I would hate for them to end the show leaving behind more unanswered questions than answered ones. Like, for example, where will Savage go? Where will Ahsoka go? I think as long as they close up shop, it's all good. My vote would be they end the season with the chancellors kidnapping, just take the mini-series story and put it into TCW. -
Yeah, I actually think the Venator is more iconic than the nebulon. We do need some sort of rebel capitol ship, though...

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
BrickArtist replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Yes-The HMP made a prominent appearance in Sith, it was the CIS' aerial support in the Battle of Kashyyk. Eight can be seen here. They were needed to counter the might and armor of the CTT. -
I don't think any of these sets are overprice-So many new molds! roosters, goats, chickens, all kinds of weapons, and so much more. These sets are of great value, some of my favorites. I'll have to buy some. BTW I just got a laugh reading the first page

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

Two simple words, and my philosophy on this matter: Custom Canon. Star wars is taken so seriously that it's almost a religion to some of us. Now when your part of a religion sometimes you don't agree with 100% of the beliefs...and nobody said you had to. So, ask yourself, what's YOUR belief? Did Piel die here? Or did he live after order 66? Or did he never exist? I pick and choose what I believe in, not the G-Canon, not always the EU, but mine. Personally, I don't consider Anikan to have taken on any padawan(Not in TFU, Not in TCW). I believe the SW saga, I enjoy TCW, see the difference? Why spend so much time debating the Eu and prior back story, when you could be perfecting a MOC, or customizing your canon, or doing non-lego stuff. I'm not going to partake in any more debates, because it's just silly. Before we know it, personal outbreaks and member-on-member vendettas will start, and we can't have that. I wish you all have a similar revelation to mine soon, or else your gonna have a tough time over the future seasons of TCW and whatever TCW brings. It's a story, not a textbook. Also a reminder about the EU: Remember EU could be a 5 year old sitting at his computer, or some college kids writing a comic book series. Wookiepedia is a Wiki. Lucas didn't write that all, his hands would have bled off and turned into dust if he had. -
Thanks! Sorry for the bump, but I've hit a sort of block on the construction of my model. The Front section is proving... to be most obnoxious I'm trying to figure out how to represent the fattening, yet slender portion there. Any suggestions? I was thinkong sideways plates, but that didn't look slope-worthy enough.
-
Thanks, yup very short on bricks. Yeah, -Elevators -Blast Doors Hologram pod -Blast doors -ViewPorts

The first pic makes it look great! I love the detail and techniques, but the backside shows the ugly plate undersides. Try flipping the studs or putting the plates on bricks to make the back look smoother.
-
N-1 looks nice, on my list. The droideka won't be displayed within 10 inches of anything minifig scale, though. I'll probably try a perspective MOC with it. Glad to see the security droids are ligit. The question remains-Do the have red markings on the back of their heads?
-
I suppose. The back ring is something I'm having a little bit of trouble with, any ideas on how to go it? Gareths uses that X-Wing piece, but I'm not gonna make this in white. Right now I'm trying rounded bricks.
-
And sometimes people leave helpful comments rather than a pic of some random rendition Thanks, darth! I'm BLing parts soon.

Nice, it's a good shape, and nice design. I think it would look better if you incorporated more realistic details. Like for example, the gun in the cabin is on a rack, it should probably be leaning in the corner. You also could have tiled the deck. Stuff like that. The more you do it the more realistic the whole model will look. You might want to look at Captain Green Hairs topic for using jumpers to create a more gradual and realistic slope.

Star Wars figs and more!

Sharing new bits of info between no questions IS a bump. Your doing this on a regular basis, please stop. It's rude to other members with newer items up Start a new topic if you feel the items are drastically different. -
As did I, a little un-SWy, but awesome. I loved how all the clones and gunships come in behind him.
-
Hmmmm I'm thinking that the UCS each year will directly relate to the 3-d Release. I can think of some pretty awesome UCS models that could be done off TPM, landing craft, MTT, naboo fighter, Droid command center, AAT ect. I'll say TPM isn't the best SW, but it sure has some nice ships 'n stuff.
-
Same here, the whole super-duper, mega jedi, stomp thing was so unrealistic. The again so is yoda riding into battle on a Camel-Horse hybrid On the contrary SW has never kept much consistence in the force abilities of jedi. Like for example, in Sith Obi has to strain himself to push Grievous, yet he removes a block that had to weigh more than ton like it's nothin'. Or in all the other SW films the jedi and sith never thought to just force lift somebody and throw them to their death, like in TPM Obi has to cut maul in half to dispose of him.
-
I'm sorry, but am I the only one who thinks this topic is...unproductive? What seems to come out of this thing is that people want a set and battle-pack for every minifigure, and set to appear in both the TCW sets? Rather than replying to unreasonable suggestions with a ' Yeah!' Can we actually write out how much the set will be, and what it will include. We're never gonna get 10 muunilists in one set. Let alone, the ARC gunship.
-
Doesn't this threaten the 'I like them all' answer? Because now all those members apparently like the, EU as well. I think this is something to do with the current films, and TV series. As that seems to be the focus here. I think that there isn't anybody who likes the entire EU, it's way to general. More general that making a poll option as 'Saga'.

The weaponry is located below the other part of the bridge, not here. They're all standing up, this is for commanding assaults, not the nitty-gritty work that the other clones do
