A CTT was used as an example... think about it. I suppose you could probably do anikans Venator. Awesome contest, I'll be entering all categories. Good luck to all the parcipitants!
-
Me too. I forgot about that Mech thread, sorry I'll PM you my thoughts on it
-
After I figure out the gears/wheel down there additional support will be added. I felt as though for some poritons the angles would look so wrong brick-built. Hmmm, I though the length was good, on another forum somebody told me the exact opposite, so I'd like more minds opinions on that. Specify?
-
I'll try and give that to you by tomorrow. Yep Lights on the front, and turning wheels. I'm borrowing Saints technique for those.
-
Update Pics: Main view: Side view: Front progress: Controls and seats: Everything will be tiled over.
-
That's an opinion, yet I for one may buy this for parts, and maybe figs. BL is so ridiculous I wouldn't be surprised if people did that.
-
Nice. What are your plans four interior? I'm doing two stories, bottom will have two hallways for troop storage, and the top will be armory and command center
-
My thoughts exactly, it's good, but the front seems like the baeplates with some bricks slapped on.
-
Actually, I like this one better. Quit being so pompous, self promotion like that makes me Yeah, the plate choices, interior structure, are obvious choices. Also the greebling here is wayyyyy different. I'd suggest you edit that out of signature. Why don't you go start your own thread for that somewhere, and stop hijacking this one.
-
It involves simple technic, and round bricks. That entire cannon portion will be able to turn, with a smaller door for the gunner. CTT update will come tomorrow, promise
-
Haha, stud-less and studded surfaces are always been a favorite of mine, and I also favor lots of plates, so I see how you could say that. I also, of course, looovvveee republic vehicles That's a toughy I think I know a solution, but it'll take a lot of time to explain. It's also difficult to apply, but it'll work. I'll send you a PM once I'm sure it work, I'll probably use the same method on my CTT for those hatches.
-
Nice I like the shaping a lot. My only gripe is the hatch that holds the gun, it's a bit clunky. Other than that nice model
-
Sorry for the delay, camera card broke. I hate the way those stick out of the PC, an accident just waiting to happen. Anyways I hope not to disappoint
-
No flaws here, your dios are at their peek. Great work Masked

Thanks for the answer, Copmike! Just a quick question: Rubber SW minifig headdresses were also outsourced, why's that? Is that space related as well. The most noticeable differences IMO are the less glossy appearance of the plastic, and the printing is as bold. Compare a collectible minifig with a new regular fig, the printing on the collectible typically looks weak, and faded. While the regular one is bold, and string.

Yeah, and the way that the slope in front of the bridge takes up half the model is so weird to look at. This set could really use a re-hash. Lego could do so mush better! On a side note, lets all be mindful that EB is on legos radar. A designer may see what we say, remember when castle fans got their civilian sets? Not sure if I saw a lot of talk about that on other forums...
-
Command center, armory, small mess hall, and if we must have a play feature, a boarding feature for droids to invade the ship.
-
I agree with all that you said there, I skipped this set as I find it an ugly model. TLGs attempts at play features here don't work out well, like the gap in the back that is filled by nothing than a gunner Palpy being included was also kinda stupid, it's illogical to put his office in there. Compared to the Star Destroyer, not a good set
-
Very nice, your LDDs are some of the finest I've seen. Have you considered making any of these in the bricks? That would make them all the more impressive
-
Good start! You need a bit more more than some plates, and plates on big baseplates though. Try consolidating if your working with limited parts. Rather than stretching across 2 big baseplates, put all the action, plants, and figs on one baseplate.
-
KimT is very reliable, and only he updates that post. Notice how when a boatload of rumors of rumors came around, and he only put some in the first post? Sometimes when people has confidential info, it's easier to reveal it with an excuse, rather than a rumored set popping out of nowhere. You see what I mean?

I'm guessing, by the size of the ship, Vader didn't have to crawl. It likely had to do with Vader being an official figure, and he shouldn't have to board his ship like the tie pilots. Rather, he would walk aboard the way he would on a shuttle.

Yep-2 spartans,2 Witches,2 ringmasters, singer, mariachi guy, and some more. PM? I might be able to trade, do you have any wants? I'm guessing the stands are lightly used, correct? If not I'd Probably say 9 or 11 cents a stand, how does that sound? Nice! Zap me a PM when you know what you have
-
First off, fantastic photography. Your shots are incredibly clean, and bright. I like what you've done here That's a great TIE Advanced, the cockpit is the highlight for me. You might want to try and rid of the big gaps in the wing transitions, but other than that great work

What was the last movie you watched?
BrickArtist replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, it does say spoilers. I'll have to investigate the alternate ending, I think I know what'll happen.
