Thanks for the article KimT. Miniland is looking great. I have to say these designers have really out-done themselves, those models are all stunning. My favorites are probably the Theed, AT-ST(The leg transitions were spot on), and the Juggernaut. I hope I get to this in person at some point.

Wow! This is fantastic. The towering wall, with interesting building techniques do it for me. I think it could use some vehicles, and minifigs, though. That would make it look more alive, and action packed. I'm assuming this is the kidnapping of palpatine, correct?

Yup, array+sniping=Good things. It's pretty much the only really good snipers map...

CONTEST: Design a Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) set
BrickArtist replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Most of the time it's just a bunch of rule clarifications, no I didn't read every post. It's still awesome. -
What else would it be, the Wasoo?
-
Yes.

I thought that 3-D movies without the glasses looked really weird, hmmm hope it works well. Yeah, for me it's fine. They've new glasses that look more normal and comfortable, unlike the paper ones they used to use. Now entire movies are 3-D as well, not just the snippets of them.

I've never liked that thing. Have you tried RPK, M60 with grip, and of course the world famous PSG with Variable? Those are some of mine.

Actually 3-D has come a long way, they've gotten rid of the little red and blue glint and now it's so much better.

CONTEST: Design a Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) set
BrickArtist replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
When people see a contest, they usually look over any MOCs in the title plage. Did you make that, Bonaparte? Because I have to say, It's quite lovely. -
Medieval Fantasy World Collaboration
BrickArtist replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That's phenomenal, My favorite part would be the designers technique for stacking the green plates for hills(You guys know how much I hate flat landscapes!) I also love the little village, castle, pathway, and the trees surrounding the path outside the village all look great. -
You guys should all try out the commando next time you play-red dot sight. It's amazingly accurate.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
BrickArtist replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I'm mad! They killed echo!! It makes me so mad! With Hevy he sacrificed his life for the republic, and comrades. But Echo just made a stupid run at a shuttle, that got blown up. He just died in action. It makes me so furious Commanderneyo, you read the guides and stuff, please tell me Echo will like have escaped down a hatch in the ground, dropped his helmet, and will appear again with some type of minigun and jump in to mow down commando droids. Please tell me that's what happens...please. That was a good episode though, I'm hoping we see Fives go on to be a Clone Marshall commander-the highest ranking commander, like Bacara. This would make, as Marshalls are generally picked from ARC troopers. -
Fantastic idea fallen. This could also work for a SW MOCer who doesn't have bricks, or a camera(1 or the other). He could build the model in an LFX file, request it be built in bricks, potographed, and uploaded so he could have real life pictures of his models, in somebody else's bricks. I'm on board.

Star Wars figs and more!
BrickArtist replied to RejectedShrimp's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Sharing new info without others posting in between is just as bad as bumping, as a matter of fact it is bumping. everything else gets pushed down. -
I think the portion in front of the bike needs the most work-It doesn't really capture that long, doming portion. !x2 is square, and looking at reference there's no way that can be square. The pedals are so far away from the scouts feat it looks a little disproportionate. Also the minifigs position should have the legs bending in the opposite direction.

Collectible Minifigures Trading Suggestion
BrickArtist replied to Donut's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
How about when people make trades, and the minifigs are gone, they don't just leave up their post. It's sorta obnoxious(And I've had this problem before) When people are to lazy to edit out the gone ones, and update with their new haves. My vote would be to just have a new topic for the trades, and limit everyone 1 post. The moderator should also mention that posts that are not current will be deleted. All trades should purely happen Via PM. -
The way I see it is these rumors are false until they're true-right now these are false to me. I highly doubt this will make it to the 'true' stage. Everybody can conjure up set names and numbers and minifigs-But only Tlgs hi res of the real deal will convince me. At this point with all the rumored 'Exlcusives' I think we can conclude that somebody's fibbing...

I think its that the hallway is too narrow, causing the busy look. All the same fantastic work AC, all the little details are great.

Almost all knight related historical occurrences have been religiously backed. Tlg wants to maintain their conservative views, as i said:

My vote would actually be another pair of small sets in the summer wave-that could go against each other like in the BPs. Accurate AT-RT, versus a Crab droid, ect. ect. This way OT fans and PT/CW fans could both have a little something.
-
That is looking really REALLY nice. I'll have to do something like this with all y republic MOCs... Anyways, might I suggest some pictures of landscapes behind the Dios? If you use glossy photo paper it looks very nice. This would be most effective for the Blue hoth sky.

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
BrickArtist replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in Culture & Multimedia
It looks as though they have changed around the game platform a little, I'm pretty that a lightsaber swing is a single whole action; you could deflect 4 bolts, slice though something, and take out a droid if the position-meant and timing were perfect -
?? Quoting the Visual dictionary, AotC section, 'Clone Trooper Equipment': "White Terror: clone trooper uniforms are not camouflaged, because troops fear no one and want their enemies to see them coming from afar." You two farm animals, whats next "Moo Rectons" Great one peanuts! Love the use of the mis-printed clone eyes.

Yeah the choice makes sense-a B1 is just PT, Obi appears in I-IV, Anikan is all saga, padme is PT, out of all the TPM main characters-Maul is the most iconic to TPM, next to Qui-Gon IMO.
