Truly a wonderful set! For 400€ with double VIP points, I might consider to buy, because there`s the threshold to not feel utterly overpriced. But 500€ for a set this size? No, in no universe. Yeah, it has over 6000 (small) pieces, but it just doesn`t look like a 500€-Set for me. But hey, it has the LotR branding and 15 (mostly desirable) Minifigs, so many people will buy it. I hope they have fun with it, I just can`t justify spending 500€ on a set like this - it gets even worse when I compare it to Ninjago City Gardens or Flower Fruit Mountain - a set which doesn`t look that much smaller but only costs 1/3 of Rivendell. And in my opinion looks equally good.

I am building the elephant right now and I can totally agree with you! Putting on the stickers in this set was/is a nightmare and I already f...ed up. :-( Monkie Kid is by far my favourite theme, but the amount of stickers used in most of the sets is atrocious. So, to no surprise, I`m 100% in the "prints are suprior to stickers" team.

Gladly the MCU has a huge emphasis on huge, flashy vehicles and mechs - otherwise I couldn`t understand why we get THAT many Mechs and vehicles in Lego Marvel Sets...

Well, amazon.de nearly always has most of the sets for 25-45% off, the prices are alright with the discount. :D Ich really love the nature included, the machinery and some of the animals not so much. And I don`t have any positive feelings towards the navi minifigs. So bricklink it is for the sets I don`t already have.^^

Yeah, I`m not happy how it looks right now, but I didn`t have the time to really blend the two sets together (and I am not very creative...) But as it looks the little stores and marketplaces can be swapped. When I find the time, I`ll try to fit it together.

The MK theme really is my favorite Theme with great Sets to display or to play with - or both. :)

When the Payacan Set is available at 40%+ off, I will buy it. Just like the Toruk Makto Set, which is a good set, but I would have never bought without the 44% discount on amazon.^^

Looking for example at the two "temple" sets: there is no display value in my eyes and yeah, there are play functions. But you do it once or twice and that's it. There is no base where you can go to with your figs. There are only roads you once go with your minifig and that's it. Why would Indy reenter the temple he just escaped from? But that's just me (I mean, this is the UO-Thread). To make things clearer: I just don't see that big of a play value in many licensed Sets beacuse there is a way the scenes already happened in the movies/games/etc. Ofcourse you can play inbetween the shown scenes, but like my example from above: some Places will never be visited again, not even in another dimension. But then again, I'm maybe too old.^^ Licensed Sets should always only be display Sets. There, I wrote it.

I just ordered the Hideout. Can't promise to build it immediately, but when I'm done and noone has posted photos of the combined sets til then, I may as well do it. :-) Really excited either way, I like those play sets of the MK waves

With all the rumours and discussion about new Indiana Jones Sets I finally took the time to look at the old Sets - they are terrible! No good play value, nothing I would like to put on a shelf. I really hope the new line comes with good sets!

That's why, albeit being a fan of the franchise, I never wanted JP or JW Lego Sets, just license-free Dino Sets. The moulds already bump up the price and in combination with the jurassic license we have ridiculous pricetags since the beginning. I really like many of the sets (or at least the dinosaurs), but I never but a Set with less than 30% off the price - and it still felt expensive. But it is as it is, I`m interested in pictures of the new wave.

Just watched the Video from jb, in short: - Building the set was fun - no glow in the dark elements - crab suit is good and very poseable - some nice details on the Tulkun, poseability is good - no stickers - he gives the set 3/5 stars, mainly because of the price. But when you are a Fan of the franchise, you will like the set.

A fantastic Set indeed, but playability would get a 5/10 by me because the Tallneck isn`t that poseable, not very ggod for playing. Overall Score maybe 9/10 but no less, it`s one of the best Sets this year and when we select Sets under 100€, it`s even the best in my opinion. (and the reason why I bought HZD and play it for now 15 hours - I'm loving it!)

If I had to choose, I would like Mega Blocks to run the license - good sets for little money, why not? :-) Anyway, at this point I would get LoZ Sets from any manufactory, I`m waiting for more than 20 years now...

I dont need the new Mech as I too have the "old" one 80012. But I'm a sucker for new MK Minifigs and we all know, that there will be some set-exclusive ones... Dammit!

Just bought the Tallneck, even when I never played HZD - but I want to change that for christmas.^^ I wanted to say Thank you for your MOCs and the first instructions - definitely building them when I have the spare parts. :-)

I looked up my Dragon of the East - no Misprint. As I`m writing, I look at my nearly finished Heavenly Realms - three Bags to go, but I have to continue tomorrow. I`m already excited. :D

Sadly no sales in germany, but I ordered the heavenly realms on monday with double vip points and the two GWPs - I already own one Castaway GWP, but now I can sell the second copy to get some sort of "cashback" for the MK Set (and no, I'm not counting myself to the sort of people who demand very high prices for GWP Sets, I'm happy when I maybe get like 17€ which will mean 10% of the price of the MK Set).

I dont say it is only worth 300 bucks, but it LOOKS like a 300€ Set in my eyes. Yes, 6000 pieces and star wars tax, I know, but when I look at the pictures, it doesn`t look that big or detailed from the Outside. That`s what I meant. :-)

Bahahahaha, 600€, seriously? This looks like a fun 300€ Set, maybe for a ridiculous price like 450, but 600? AND stickers everywhere and this poor and small selection of minifigs? Well... that is an even bigger joke than the new Hogwarts Express. The UCS Razor Crest seems to be a good set (nothing like the insulting Justifier), but come on, that pricepoint is awful.

Recognisable Characters... Yeah, I really need the 12th Owen in my collection! JK, I get your point.^^ I don`t really care for anything but the dinos and in a non-licensed theme I`m sure they would be faar easier (= cheaper) to get.

But... why? You don`t want to pay less because of the missing license? I never understood in the first place why TLG needed to get JW on board to produce new Dinos. I really like Lego Dinos and I have many of them, but not all because some Sets, even at a reduced pricepoint (a treatment that not all Sets got, like the exclusives) where waaaaayyy to expensive. So make a cut, 3 or 4 years no JW Sets and then start an in-house Dino theme. I would like that! ;)

I'm not the biggest Fan of the new Samurai Mech, but I really adore the Crytsal Beast within the Set. I hope I can get alle the parts necessary to build it for a reasonable price on bricklink or B&P. Besides that: many good new sets, but I cant afford that much Lego and Monkie Kid is my Prio #1, so Ninjago has to share second place with some SW and Marvel Sets.

When I built the Evil Macaque Mech, I got"blessed" with a second copy of the sticker sheet. I have no use for it, but it was funny to see (and better better than having no stickers at all).

Finally got and built my City of Lanterns - just beautiful! Now I really want to combine two City like other Users mentioned and did in this Thread, but money is an issue as I want other MK Sets as well (and some Star Wars, and the Daily Bugle and...). But when I have the money to spare (and the City is still available), I know what to order... :)
