  1. The new castle looks really great, but besides the 4600 pieces it doesn`t feel like a 400€ Set, more like 250-300€. But hey, it`s aiming at AFOLs and they will buy it. I will maybe buy it, but not for 400€.
  2. Finally bought the City of Lanterns and the Evil Macaque Mech. :D Ordered it last night to get the Forest Hideout as GWP, perfect! And next time we`ll get duoble VIP points, the other MK sets from W1 of 2022 are next.
  3. I am also refreshing my cart constantly.^^
  4. https://brickset.com/sets/1371-1/Spinosaurus-Attack There you go, the Spino looks to be near perfection!
  5. Well, that could be an option, I dont really know tbh. The next store requires 1,5h of driving, so I`m ordering exclusive Sets online.^^
  6. Here in Germany the MK sets are also sold exclusive via lego.com. This is why I have to wait for good GWP oder at least double VIP points before buying the sets. When the next good offer waits for me, I have to buy the last sets from 2021 I want/need, then next time the first sets of 2022. But man, I really have to get the heavenly Realms, this is truly an amazing set - wonder what it looks like next to the flower fruit Mountain. Anyway, thanks for the review (which makes me want it even more...^^).
  7. Because T-Rex >>> Velociraptor, especially Blue. :p JK, soon I will have two Rexies and two Atrocies, but no Velo - Time to buy the Blue and Beta Set, now available for 19,99€.
  8. I was waiting for double VIP points to buy some of the new MK Sets, but this GWP is at least equally good to grab. Can`t wait!
  9. yep, the Set from last year, bought for 36,99€. As I wrote before, I really like most of the Sets and adore nearly all of the Dinos, but those Prices, even with all the special Moulds for the Dinos, are ridiculous! So I'm waiting for good discounts. And maybe I'll try to get some of the Dinos via bricklink, but the Prices for one Dino made out of Plastic, ouch...
  10. Bought the Carnotaurus Set (37€) and the Giga Set (100€). Still expensive, but at those prices... well, I was finally able to justify the purchase. My first Lego Dinos in the last 15 years. :D
  11. 80038 Monkie Kid's Team Van 1406 pieces €129.99 80039 The Heavenly Realms 2433 pieces €179.99 Source: brickset.com
  12. And now we have a pic of the Monkie Kid Team Van: https://brickset.com/sets/80038-1/Monkie-Kid-s-Team-Van The two new sets look both amazing!
  13. I just bought 76942 to get the Baryonyx - my first JW/JP Set from Lego and just beacuse I was able to get it at a 25% discount. I hope, this will not be my last Dino Set, but even with the knowledge that Lego is far away from being cheap, the JW were always wayyyyy to much for me price-wise. And the single dinos on bricklink didn*t seem to be that great of a deal either. I still don't know why Lego needed the JW license to produce Dino Sets, but I have to say that most of the sets really look good. So fingers crossed for more nice discounts, hopefully even more than 25%.
  14. Wow, those prices... I'd say that Lego won't sell many of the new sets, but on the other hand we have Lego and Star Wars Fanboys who buy everything at full price... I want both of these, but not unteil they are at least 20% cheaper.
  15. They can sit, but shake it just a little and they fall down. That and your point with the hands is a No-Go for me, in my opinion Minidolls are an utter failure compared to minifigs. But that`s just for me, as I stated earlier: if the sets are good, I might grab some.
  16. Minidolls... mehh. I prefer Figures that can properly sit down, but oh well. If the sets themselves are good, I might pick up some of them and trash the figures.^^
  17. As I wrote earlier, I've bought the Hero Tower from Panlos - 5883 Pieces, combined to a colossal Tower, with a quality equal to Lego, for only 250€ (I think its 270 in stores). This is a ridicolous price for a product that great and it doesn't stop there: Products of the brands I wrote earlier are all around 20-60% cheaper than anything comparable from Lego. The so-called "Knock off brands" are way cheaper with quality that often rivales (or surpasses) Lego. (And as I wrote: there are flower Sets which look and feel like they are from Lego, only difference: they are at least 30% cheaper). Lego is an expensive toy and there are more than enough alternatives where your "value" is better. Of course you dont have to buy them; stick to Lego if you are afraid to throw away money for something you think isn't that good, that is okay. But I thought so too only some years ago and nowadays I consider myself lucky that I've tested some "knock off brands". ;)
  18. I own several Sets of other brands and was able to test and look at even more, so let`s see: CaDa has great cars Cobi is the specialist for military sets (which dont interest me, but they are good indeed) Forange has awesome Dinosaurs and many Flowers which look equally good than the Lego Flowers LOZ has very nice buildings, albeit with smaller bricks Mould King has the big vehicles which all look at least euqally good as the technic Lego vehicles (often better!) Panlos has the big Dinos and maybe my favourite non-Lego Set: the hero tower, which is just colossal and towers above all my other sets Wange is the brand if you want more good architecture sets Xingbao is a brand with buildings, military sets, Pets, buildings, ... The best quality, at least in my experience, is found at Panlos. They rival Lego in every regard, but the sets are significantly cheaper (which goes for all other brands). You can say/write what you want: The brands besides Lego have made HUGE steps in terms of quality in the last couple of years and really are an alternative. I have no problem to mix them with Lego (which wasnt the case when I bought the first non-Lego sets), so if you see a cheap Set you think is cool/cute/whatever: give it a try. ;) I still spend the most money on Lego, but Im glad there are so many other good brands for every kind of set. :D
  19. As other mentioned: great review! Have this set myself, the Demon is standing next to the Monkey King Mech and the Bull Demon - it really is a great trio!
  20. In "Journey to the West", the Monkey King had his own flying cloud, which he used several times to fly to the heaven and across the whole land. So if he wanted, the journey would have been a matter of hours, not years. So yeah, why no space rocket? Abd maybe this will be the only space-related set, we dont know yet.
  21. I'm glad this series continues as I'm already owning half a dozen of the sets and they are some of the best I've build in the last years. :)
  22. Something like playmobil novelmore - a steampunky-ish castle theme, with dragons, wizards, flying ships, ... I would like that. :--D
  23. You Do realize that whatever Set will be chosen, we won't get it before 2023? Therefore something like the LOTR map would be more suited, but that is just my hope for even more sets from middle earth.^^
  24. Great sets! Of course no day 1 purchases, but I`ll wait till I get at least double VIP points. Then I`ll get the "Megazord" and maybe the pigsy noodle cup tank. :)
  25. Great review! Really diggin it! But when you write "local stores", do you mean lego stores or is it available otherwise?
