  1. Picked up Lloyd's dragon. Random stores had it, but not Toys R us. Is this usual? For 50 $, I'm very impressed - it rivals even Wu's dragon. - They didn't put in as much grey as they did in the other dragons so the colour scheme is much better (though I moded most of the grey parts out of the others). - the legs/feet are not perfect, but much better than the others.. - the wings are just EPIC! Gold underneath, green on the top with lots of detail. And the folding mechanism works great. Now I really look forward to other dragons with such high quality wings!
  2. To me they look like the standard light blue ones. & there were also pictures of her with dark blue ones. Hope review's of the set will come out soon.. Does anyone know when the set will come out in Germany?
  3. Good choice for the windshield With the limited parts & time of mine I'd also try to "just make it a bit bigger". Especially the rear-part could give much more space if moded. I'd suggest to get rid of the tecnic structure on the sides, that creats the "square" cockpit and limits both space and playability. the technic holes on the sides don't really serve any purpose, since the plates on each side can still be attached. Maybe you could let 2 figs sit next to each other, instead of just behind. I'm looking forward to see where this will go. Love cargo ship-mocs.
  4. I love this thread we're talking about the consumer ethics & motivations from a '15 UCS set.
  5. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=137835 Some pics here - just imagine as much detail on figs as Sabine, Ahsoka, Rex, clones etc... & don't tell me armprinting ain't possible. They did it for Wookiees & Maul, but not for Ahsoka?! Besides; we got like 15 times more hairmolds in the last 1,5 years.
  6. How would you guys & gals update your Sabine Wren from SW Rebels (both versions)? I always switch arms with different printing, but seem to find none which really fit her.
  7. I don't think they think or know that much about these thinge. I get more the assumption that they don't think or know enough about the products they design. I mean 70 % of the figures have the wrong colours (Ezra & Sabine's Outfits + skintone, Kallus outfit..). However what you say is one of the reasons why I don't mind at all about the red - I'll use it as a former republic freighter . The tan colours though bother me - but they can be replaced easily. DS news: I wonder how you could open it up? maybe if it is just bigger, they could maintain the same interior quality & have a "mantle to cover it.
  8. She ain't less detailed than her latest CW version - but the oversized Lekku covers a lot of that detail. dual molded arms would have helped a lot. Well, TLG & colours...
  9. It's Ahsoka To be fair: The original ship is like 3 times larger than a normal blockade runner - of which the last model had about 1.400 pieces & sold for 150$. But there's no excuse for not updating Ezra. Plus I find the lack of detail on Anakin Skywalkers apprentice most distburbing. Just wait for the set to go on sale - it will, especially with RO sets comming..
  10. Don't mean to compare the mentioned sets. Would be unfair. It's about the lack of knowledge, detail & creativity that goes into the interior. Despite the smaller insides of the latest ISD - the amount of available space is still decent. The "furnishing" however was just very uncreative. Felt like someone just moved out I moded it so that there's a machine room (with a hyper drive comparable to a warp core), Vader's private room, officer's room & a "big" stormtrooper room. The back part of the Malevolence was sacrificed for structure. They could have also used the space for like (mini) vulture or buzz droids. Moding is fun - just a shame that the designers don't really try..
  11. Finally!! Well that's more than I expected. We know since the Winter wave that the designers didn't watch a single episode of the show & design the stuff straight up from a few concept art pictures (otherwise they may have known about the scar Ezra has since.. over a year?). The interior of bigger crafts mostly sucked (either very limited or extremely uncreative; Ghost, ISD, CTT, AT-TE, Malevolence...) & we could already see that the angled plates on the side will limit the space. Still would have been nice to get this cool white conference room. I'm just glad that they didn't put long technical pieces in the middle...
  12. at least not in this forum. So have my thanks. Interessting - that maybe the first time that we'll get a plump & unaesthetic ship of that size (Assault Carrier could count too though). Not that I would mind, since "wings" and other stuff are pretty useless in actual space.. Now I just need infos about the - hopefully decent - interior...
  13. "Insult on Hoth" Well we should'not get our hopes up... it seems like the SW sets are getting designed more and more from people who don't really that much about the universe..
  14. Did you take a look on the back of the box? Or even pictures - Even though not expecting a lot, I am very desperate to see the interior.. & Could you see the price? I fear that the set costs 120 € in Germany..
  15. Where did u find this pictures & is there more? ;) For example: Does Ezra FINALLY has his scarface? Or any infos about the interior of the ship? Not a fan of the reused way to big/thick Lekku, but I can live with it. No printing/dual molding on the arms however makes her look very underdetailed, since most of her torso is covered anyway. Enough has been said about the lightsabers. The eyes are also wrong. She never had plain blue eyes, who got this idea?! Anyway, very glad to see a closeup so thanks a lot!! & even if the interior of the ship is horrible - I will have to get the set for the figure anyway Anyone with ideas for more details on the arms?
  16. Lego Star Wars.... You're going down a path I cannot follow... TLG you're breaking my heart.. Well I'd like to get a freighter style ship with usable interior (yeah I'm looking at you GHOST...) + I just love the Rebels show of course & Ahsoka. However, the description doesn't sound like there's anything exciting. I guess the "middle back part" is used for storage (baaaah) while there are like a few seats, consoles in the middle part + (huge shock!) 2-4 clips. By all the great designs of the last years - TLG has flucked up 90 % of the interiors of their SW vehicles. Upgrating my ISD felt like moving into a new apartment. With lot's of weapons racks, a hyper drive & a room for Darth Vader... With the AT-TE, the ISD, the CTT & other bigger sets you could just see how the designers have no idea about the content - they probably just saw a few pictures.. So don't get your expectations up for a conference room or whatever..
  17. Good spotting. I also noticed: AT-ST & the T-Fighter thing use sand blue pieces. The latter one even use some that are not soo easy to switch out. Not so perfect for people like me, who want to keep the whole thing light grey (except for the solar panels of course).
  18. I thought these were prelims, but after seeing high res. pic's the poncho of the protagonist is the only odd looking thing. Other things I've noticed from better pictures: The Robot looks even more like a med. droid. The guy next to him has printed goggles. - The "Death troopers" look a bit strange too because of that much white or light grey printing. - the rebel pilot looks awesome - but uses either an old face print or the one from porkings (hmmm..) - pretty sure the alien next to him is the same species as Unklar plutt. - pretty sure the female protagonist got a unique face print (yess!) ... and her helmet is either moldet together with her hair, or has brown printing underneath - speaking of females: She's the only one in the whole wave - what a throwback, after the latest (positive) developments. - the trooper on the right just seems to have a short mouth. No lipstick - & what did Lego teach us: no females without lipstick.... - the guy next to the protagonist does NOT have dual molded legs. Well maybe next year... - Now that "Death star trooper" (actually an engineer) has a very different printing compared to the older version. Even new leg printing. - the blind guy from the tank uses gun metal grey lightsaber pieces. His skirt is a mix of dark red & dark tan. - the walker has spring missiles next to the actual ones. Looks horrible, but will be easy to remove.
  19. Did I miss anything? So will we get the sets earlier in Europe? Last year I was suffering because I had to wait until mid August.. This year however we (in Germany) got pretty much every line first..
  20. J2G you're awesome. People of all the eurobricks theme thread's owe you one ;) I would have hoped for more asian style building structure (which was the reason why I got into Ninjago), but the dominant playfeatures were to be expected. So for what is's supposted to be it's as always Lego's finest work - kids will love it. Note: we'll also get the former "ninjawraps" on our protagonists, not the one's currently used. The ghots even use the classic ones from the early 2000's.
  21. The A-Wing vs. Tie set is still very overpriced. Even for current SW standards. They could have at least given Sabine a helmet & arm printing. They also did it for the wookiees. But still, I bought the set as soon as I saw it in my Toys R us. At all I'm just a fanatic Vader/Tarkin/OT & Rebels fan Sabine is much much better than the first version & Vader's ANH torso is excellent. I but the ISD head on his torso, looks a lot like the scene from the Rebels S2 finale. Sabine's black arms can easily be updated with ones that have armprinting. Also tried to put Tarkin's head onto a grey officer body - Maybe it's just me, but I somehow find the dark tan more accurate. Also bought the Eclipse today - although I don't have a connection with the figures, they look great. & the vehicle's are very advanced for the price.
  22. Nexo knights, SW, DC, Marvel... Pictures of the exclusive set should come any day... The Samurai X cave is a much better cave than the recently released batcave. I wonder if the back of it will give us a great "tan style" look, like Jabba's palace from SW. If so, it would look epic in the background, with plenty other tan/desert builds & sets.
  23. hihi I always threw my money away for these sets. The build from Final Duel II just included 8 pieces . However back at those days you sometimes just got 1-3 figures in the high-price sets, so the smaller sets were great to collect certain characters. Just imagine a 10 $ set today, that includes both Vader & the Emperor or Ahsoka the 7th sister. - My modded version of the original arc 170 belongs to my most precious sets. I really appreciate the advanced designs & compact structures of newer sets. But a designer who just included space for 3 figures in the latest CTT does not understand kids too much I think.. To me the Millenium Falcon & the old CTT had so much value because I could transport an army in it, let the figures "live" in it. Kids who will buy the new CTT will have a large vehicle with mostly structure on the inside. I don't think kids are just all about "firing missiles".
  24. That one! While the original CTT may be extremely unstable (the model falls apart every time I transport it) the interior stays the best until today. In the middle section you have the biggest platform that we ever got in a vehicle to put your army. Currently I have stationed 18 stormtroopers & a cannon in it. Plus operators in different spots. The CW version gave that space away for features & the current model just fits 3 minifigures . Everything else is structure & features. http://www.promobricks.de/review-lego-star-wars-clone-turbo-tank-75151/15771 In some cases I really miss the old big unstable models with low price tags & much space.
  25. Actually the original looks even more grey - one reason why I like the Lego version more. However old concept arts are no excuse for the wrong colours here. The siege of Lothal was released about a year ago. As were the information of things like Ahsoka's white blades. The problem is just that SW (unlike DC) designers don't know much about the stuff they make. here's a review of the CTT: http://www.promobricks.de/review-lego-star-wars-clone-turbo-tank-75151/15771
