  1. Modified Hagrid figure maybe?
  2. I like the version without the cheek lines. Seems more Mulderish to me that way.
  3. Usually, but they constantly have reduced items. I've got a few printed elements that were 70-80% off, putting them way under the price of the blank ones and there's a few items I don't think they've ever produced blank variants of like the potion bottles.
  4. Those look great. The office is really impressive and I love the Lego version of the poster.
  5. Um, it's £4.99 for three or £1.99 for one I think? My local Lego store has a pretty good selection of parts available (including a few from licensed sets) too, so it's not a bad deal.
  6. Never tried it with BrickForge before, but I don't see why it shouldn't work.
  7. I like it personally. I mean I would have liked a straight copy of the originals in green a little more. Of course if they produce it in a few more colours then awesome. I'll have all of them.
  8. That is neat. :D
  9. Those look really good. I love the leg fix. Why couldn't Lego have given them the ability to walk in the first place? Your self elf looks great too. :)
  10. Might I suggest adding a Nesquick bunny (that guy on the left there) if you can find one? :)
  11. Clear nail varnish should do it. Clean the piece thoroughly to make sure there's no dirt in the scratches, give it a coat of clear nail varnish and then wipe it right off before it can dry. The bit that remains in the scratches will then dry clear and give the impression of a unscratched piece. I'd have a go with some random old unimportant brick first to see how it dries but that should do the trick.
  12. Put small strips of electrical tape over the parts you want to keep, pour a little bit of brasso on a bit of kitchen paper and rub gently until the design disappears.
  13. I prefer fleshies, but I'll happily mix both together. Agreed. On one level I get the whole idea of going for generic non-specific people (and the original smiley heads were definitely that), but the problem is generic tends to translate as average and average in Europe and North America tends to translate as white (and usually male, but that's a whole different issue).
  14. Hi. Commander Cottontail is a twice-weekly, single panel furry space comic which I started back in March 2012. It's currently up to 344 pages, the first 300 of which are available as free ebooks. Book 1 - Raygun Diplomacy Book 2 - The Trouble with Transporters Book 3 - Big Bang 1.5.3 Check it out and tell me what you think. Hope you like it. : )
  15. I mostly only buy smaller sets, collectible minifigures and loose parts, so I've only ended up with three of them I think and could tell you where one of those is right now, so I'm more than happy with them continuing to put them in sets. I like the sound of that.
  16. I second (third, fourth?) the call for smaller dress pieces. People do wear skirts and dresses without heals sometimes. Other than that though, I'm happy for them to leave them as they are. I don't know about their straight arms, but I've got some of their animal heads, top hats and accessories and they're all really, really well done. I can't fault any of them. If the quality of the arms is anything like those parts then you shouldn't have any problems with them.
  17. I'm mostly interested in space these days, but I can still see some use for some of these. I like that the rocking monster has a Sid Vicious padlock and chain thing going on and without the top part of his head he'd make a pretty good generic alien character. While the mad scientist's head is a little, uh, different, but his outfit could easily work for a significantly less mad scientist or maybe medic? Any bright pink blooded aliens out there? As for the cat suited woman, I could do with retro-haired cat eared space ladies. : ) I've already got a few green skinned and white skinned aliens, so the witch, vampire woman and skeleton boy (or whoever does end up with that head) could definitely find a place. (Also as someone who wears lots of stripey socks, I want those witch legs and the cat - I've got a bit of a collection of Lego cats going.) The zombie pirate head could also be pretty useful. People (including angry grey ones) can still lose eyes in space. Zombie cheerleader's hair is cool. Also another werewolf is always useful because, well, there are an awful lot of alien species in my collection that look like Earth animals thanks to Chima and the previous collectible minifigs. I'm not hugely interested in the monster theme, and I'm kind of bored of zombies, but there's still quite a lot there that I could work with and that's without seeing most of the accessories, so yeah, I'm pretty happy with what we've seen so far.
  18. That is brilliant. : )
  19. Thanks you three. : )
  20. How have I not heard about that redesigned Futuron figure until now? I am definitely going to have to get one of them. Probably not the set though, not unless it ends up in a crazy clearance sale somewhere. I'd like to think the fact it's been redesigned means that there'll be something more as well. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but won't hold my breath.
  21. I have a couple of blank Chima gorilla heads I got from the build-a-minifig bins at my local store (one of which I used as a blank canvas for a paint job). The only misprints I've got are your standard old school allignment issues on things like classic space torsos. I also have a couple of heads from wave 1 collectable minifigs that are completely the wrong shade of orange somewhere, but that seems to be a reasonably common problem with that first set of fidures.
  22. Hi. My name's Wendy and I make the Brick Comic Commander Cottontail, a single panel furry space comic that updates every Monday and Thursday. I also have a blog there where I mostly review budget brick brands, though there is the occasional Lego set in there as well. I also do bonus brick comics for the webcomic Mysteries of the Arcanawhich came about after I designed some minifigures based on the characters from the comic. So yeah, that's another thing I do as well, design Lego stickers. Um, other than that I think that's about it. Nice to meet you all. : )
