But don't more droids come in that color? All of the old droids, and even the recent ones come in that color.
-
Cool. Where do you even find a tan Jar Jar head? You could also have added a Jango fett or C3po or something to parody that one Star Wars set.
-
It is.. Kinda? It was partially about the new Kai fig anyway... I still think the italian prices for the Raid Zeppelin and Jay's Dragon are wrong by about ten dollars/euros. They look too small to be $40.

Not bad friend. I've always seen this on Ideas.

We don't want this to get too heated. The cutscenes from SoR are in exact same style as other Lego games, like Lego Batman 3 and Lego Marvel Super Heroes. Hardware problems have nothing to do with it. In those cutscenes, the way Kai looks, particularly his mouth, especially when he is smiling, resembles the smile on the minifig very much. Let's get this straight. Not even one of the voice actors for the several characters that voice the characters were available. For Nindroids, Shadow of Ronin, and Lego Dimensions? I'm not buying that. Even minor characters, like P.I.X.A.L and Dareth are not played by their respective actors. None of the characters are. Now that I think about it, maybe "conflict" is the wrong word. But something is up, and all I smell is excuses. They're not telling us something.

You put all your figs on display? I actually think it would be a good idea to switch Kai's legs for regular red ones, then give his legs to zukin or original Kai. Those original suits do pile up if you collected Ninjago normally. Then how did Ninjago: Nindroids have the same cutscenes from the show. Face it, that is the regular Lego game cutscene. The same can be found in Lego Marvel Superheroes as well. They didn't even try to stay somewhat true to the show. "The actors aren't available". Heh. Ha. LEGO and Cartoon Network are apparently having a conflict or something, because if they can't even use the same voice actors for pre-made cutscenes, what hope is there for ever resembling the show's? Instead there is the lame Lego style cutscenes, with the Lego style mouth movements and such. Very resembling of the new stone armor Kai.

Overlooked details on the Ninjago minifigures

Hmm, that is actually quite interesting. But what if there's the chance it was used for a double-sided and slightly comedic purpose as well? LEGO likes doing that stuff. -
Erm, their faces in Shadow of Ronin looked nothing like the show's. The entire game wasn't like the show at all, for that matter. And also, in that game, the way Kai smiles resembles the way the "new" face looks. And that made me sad. Oopz. The reflections themselves were as one could say, "low quality". It really looked like he had none. And, unfortunately, that means no scar for Kai :(
-
Because 1. It reminds me of Shadow of Ronin *shivers* and 2. since it inspired by the show, why not just go all the way and make it identical or near identical? And I'd have instead liked a scar in the show rather than a scarless Kai from now on. Why change it, y'know? Strange enough, later on in the future, Kai has NO eyebrow deformities at all. Strange. Lloyd's face isn't really that bad, it's actually pretty good. It shows he's more mature. I hope they use it in the show. (his mouth looks a bit off, but it's still good)
-
Eh, it's alright, but WHY is it SO HARD to make faces completely identical to the show? To be special?? Maybe because it is just a nice little bonus? You could put it on zukin kai or original Kai as well as kendo Kai. Speaking of kendo Kai, has anyone tried adding the zukin kneepads to the kendo suits? I'm assuming they will look awesome. Poor Zane though, odd one out.

Of course we won't. With the movie coming up, they wouldn't dare...

LEGO uses rubber bands, ropes and other fabrics in their builds. Who said you can't copy them?
-
To be honest, it is kind of tempting to use Kragle, especially on that one piece you only have like 2 of and they're really old and always fall off... Sad stories.
-
Huh, really? Wow, now that is a cheap move from LEGO. This is really making me want an improved Lloyd face though, or just give Lloyd his current expression more often in the show, since he is becoming a sensei anyway.

I have seen your MOCs and you are indeed a talented builder. That's not what I meant. That was 2009. LEGO's quality has increased since then, and they will never go back, only forward. I remember the old Belville buildings. Only pillars and platforms, with chairs on the floor and such. LEGO would never make sets similar to those again. The low quality of the builds compared to the current ones would severely reduce buyability in that category. Look at Lego Juniors. Those sets are quite small, and designed to be accessible. They have low piece counts and are cheap and easy to build. Yet they all have very good quality. And features and functions that work in favor of the set. the builds are still great as well, and probably have an even smaller piece count than you creation. You don't need to sacrifice quality to have accessibility. Such implies that one would be underestimating Lego. It is possible to have both worlds you know.

Indeed! These look amazing! I would have never guessed it to be Lego unless I took a closer look.

Overlooked details on the Ninjago minifigures
gamejutzu replied to gamejutzu's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It's not that. Kai's symbol is pretty much the same as the original, quite happy with it. Lloyd's is identical as well. Jay's symbol already looked like an octo before. Cole's looks NOTHING like his. You'd think LEGO had a species in mind when they made his logo. They messed up the coolest one! I wasn't slandering gorillas, I was slandering that Cole's symbol could have been something else other than a gorilla that matched his symbol better. Yeah, when I first saw it, I was scratching my head on what it could mean. I thought it was just to show that Lloyd was only wearing pjammies and did not actually have his ribs sticking out of his chest. -
Yeah, but you guys are forgetting, in the show it's fine for Kai to have no scar, since he's easily distinguishable without it. But in the sets, the only thing making Kai different WAS the scar! Do you know how many guys have a similar expression to him? Unless Kai has the smirk from the show (What expression does he have, who has the cube version?), I REALLY think this was a bad move, if this is a replacement face, in more ways than one. Lol I know right? Pretty sure anyone who actually watches the show hates it as well. What's so bad about Lloyd's face? Sure, it looks nothing like the show's, but it's just there to show he's changed. VERY sad we'll never get the old face again though. Maybe a new version with his trademark grin and on the other side, a concentration "hurrr" face, both from the show?

This came together really well, congrats on the happy vibe of the build! Has LEGO ever made a food market though?
-
Nice, some posters can also work to it's advantage. This is a nice little piece for any city maker to have.
-
Like the additions, but honestly, LEGO will never reduce the quality of their sets. It will really not hurt anyone if some edits (with the look of the overall building, looks a tad unrealistic right now) are made here and there, as to make it look like something LEGO themselves would release.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
gamejutzu replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
In the sneak peek, Jay is on the run. I'm assuming either they were separated with no way of contact, or they are already captured. And there is an episode titled "Enkrypted", likely relating to the prison. If it's the latter, than maybe Jay just got lucky, or maybe they (police and/or pirates) did it on purpose? Sorry if I sounded like I was talking about a leak or something- 4,591 replies

Favorite/Least favorite/most wanted licensed minifigure?
gamejutzu replied to Zoshi's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thought I was the only one lol. LEGO gets tons of hate here, but they can make good minifigures with actual eyes though. Any chance of an original anime theme, like an improved version of Exo Force? (please less or zero mechs, i'm begging you) It would be a good opportunity to get awesome weapons and crazy hairstyles (only real anime hair is Kai, who is assumingly Japanese, so I guess it works for now..). You mean the black and red version? That's based off the New 52 comics. Although, he does seem off I will admit, but tons of comic fans like him. I'd say that if Titans does well we could actually get a blue and black Nightwing. Think about it. Flash appeared more often in sets because of The Flash show (most likely). Instead of Green Arrow, there could have been someone else in the Darkseid set, maybe it's because of Arrow he landed in there?- 25 replies
