LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
bountybossk replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Found them at Bart Smit Amstelveen (just south of Amsterdam). Looked like they just came in. I'm a day off so I'm on my way to the Bart Smit shop near my place (Amsterdam Zuid) to check if they have the FO battle pack and the microfighters. I can check for the Technic sets too. On my way! -

Just checked my local Bart Smit store (Netherlands): I bought Droid Escape, Hoth Attack and the Rebel battle pack. If someone is interested, I can post some pics later on. -

I simply have sent them an e-mail ;). Since Toys XL was the only Dutch store to actually released the TFA sets on Force Friday, I figured they would also be the first one to sell the new wave. -

Haha! I guessed so. The snowspeeder in the video seems to be almost identical to 75049, except for the colors. -

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
bountybossk replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I have the same problem now: I can't access Bricks & Pieces on the Dutch website to place another order. I found another relatively cheap & complete minifig last weekend: the green Endor rebel from the Tydirium set. -
I was browsing Bricks & Pieces and I was able to purchase all parts of the Final Duel Luke Skywalker minifig for less than €2! That's a pretty good deal considering the cheapest one on Bricklink is €10. I purchased some other interesting parts too (mostly to update my minifigs): - New Leia face (Tydirium set) - Finn's hair (for Desert Skiff Lando) - Finn's torso (for a captured Poe minifig) - Torso, legs and helmet for the green Endor rebel for less than €3 (Tydirium set) - New Darth Vader helmet and face - UCS Tie pilot helmet

Like this! This thread could be useful. At least for me that is. I'm planning to buy two of the FO battle packs so I'm looking forward to see what people come up with.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Hahahaha! This list... What a joke! Kylo, Finn and Rey in a $30 set with Battle on Takodana just on the shelves? $70 Resistance Base set with 9(!) minifigs? $50 Starkiller Base set with 7(!) minifigs? A podracer set with more minifigs than the UCS Sandcrawler? I don't think so... -
For the Dutchies! Wehkamp.nl has SW sets on sale today. Just got the FO Transporter with a 35% discount (€100 > €65). Also noticed Kylo's shuttle sells for €90 (€130 retail in NL).

Oh my... Could it be that the Disney collectible minifigs leak from last week are Star Wars figs?! I'm ready for a new Boskk, Nien Nunb (new molded head), Tarkin, Lando, updated OT Ackbar and so much more characters. -

I will try not to spoil too much, but the set will not be based on this scene. Here's why... -

They had quite a few options for the FO battle pack I guess. For example the First Order elite speeder bike. I still really dig the set and I'm one of the few here who really likes the FO heavy gunner. Looking at the Carbon Freezing image and I'm convinced you'll only need 2 to complete an octagon. Could look really nice. -

Might be me, but I count 2 stormies in the FO battle pack (including a pretty cool new one). Wow, you guys are hard to please... -

Is this still the LEGO Star Wars 2016 pictures and rumors thread? :/ -
I absolutely think it's time for a new AT-ST set! The last minifig size AT-ST was released in 2009 with the Battle of Endor set. The summer wave would be the perfect time for a new AT-ST set. It's a perfect fit with both the Battlefront battle packs and Shuttle Tydirium. Here's my wish-list: "Imperial scouts" set - AT-ST (main build) & one (maybe two) Imperial speeder bike(s) - around 400 pieces - 1 new AT-ST pilot - 2 new Scout troopers with new helmets and double molded legs (white hips, black upper legs, white lower legs) Tie-interceptor - around 400 pieces - 1 new Wilhuff Tarkin minifig (grey Dr. Who hair piece) - 1 Tie-pilot - 1 Imperial officer (black outfit, new black hat) Twin-pod Cloud Car - around 300 pieces - 1 new Lando (with Finn hair piece) - 1 new Lobot - 1 Cloud Car pilot Exclusive minifigs (polybag, May 4th or DK books) - Luke (Bespin or Dagobah) - Bossk (redesign) - Nien Nunb (new head mold)

I thought so too, but you can see the words "fantasy sequence" bottom-center ;)

Did anyone see Duracell's TFA commercial? I think it's the first time we've seen Kylo's shuttle in daylight. If you ask me, LEGO got it right and DBG is the perfect color for the ship. The cockpit window should've trans-red though. Here's the vid:

Or a Rebels Snowspeeder based on McQuarrie's concept? -
I'm afraid you will be disappointed. Sure, no one knows everything about the new Echo Base but TLG. However, there's a strong rumor of a new Echo Base set being released this year and weeks ago, LEGO released a video showing a totally new Echo Base (consisting of multiple segments) with brand new minifigs. Coincidence? The Echo Base in the video even shows clips holding extra spring missiles. Why would TLG include those in a video if this design isn't the design of an upcoming set they want to promote. I'm still curious about the minifigs. The video only shows a bunch of generic rebels/pilots, some snow troopers, Toryn Farr, the R2 droid, the white protocol droid, a redesigned Hoth Luke and a Hoth Han who looks like the 2013 promo fig. No Leia, Chewy, R2, 3PO or other iconic characters. I don't think the Echo Base set will include Han, since preliminary images confirm Hoth Han will be in the 2016 Hoth Attack set (source: 2016 rumor thread). Can't wait to get some official info.

Was thinking the same thing...

I'm thinking you're 100% right on this one and I think a lot of AFOL's will be disappointed with the Hoth Echo Base. I'm convinced it's a playset consisting of the multiple parts we've seen in the video instead of one huge base. The elements are really detailed and we've even seen some of the play features (exploding shield generator, opening/firing ion cannon, opening gate). Looking at the vid again, I'm thinking the set will include: - A large trench with guns and cannons (stud shooters + spring shooters) - Echo Base's gate with another cannon and the ion cannon attached - The shield generator - The mechanic's cart - And yes... A snow speeder (the one in the video has a new color scheme) - An Imperial speeder bike and small gun turret - A new (rather small) Wampa cave with a Wampa and the new Hoth Luke redesign seen in the video I don't think it will include the 75054 AT-AT
-
Talking about Kylo's shuttle: First off, I think the set is incredibly well designed. I love the center part, really digging the tank-with-wings/military look and the details. But the wings... Again great design and I don't even care they don't fold out, but they are way too big for my personal liking ( not LEGO's fault, I know). I'm thinking about modding them by removing the top part. Decreasing the height by +- 10 studs. I think the Kylo Ren fig looks fine. But I'm still hoping for a mask/hood combination (something like Antimatter's hood) in the future.
-
I don't want to annoy you by saying this, but have you opened the one #6 to check if you were missing parts? Because I think none of the sets have a second #6 bag. I finished building my shuttle today and the instructions confused me for a minute. It looked like I needed two #6 bags (one for each wing) but I only got one. I was thinking I was missing a bag too, but I figured out there is no second #6 bag. All the parts for both wing are in the one #6 bag.
