  1. Is that a new RTOJ Luke (Jabba's sail barge outfit) with green lightsaber in the advent calendar?! Look just right of the Hoth rebel! You can see Jabba's Palace on the right of the box too.
  2. Except for some pretty big Marvel SH & Technic reveals... ;) They've just posted on Twitter they've taken 1000's of photos. Can't wait to see the SW sets. (That Spiderman-bridge set looks awesome by the way)
  3. It's going to be a good day! There's a German website called Zusammengebaut.com that will post pictures from the Nurnberg Toy Fair. Check Brickset for the article!
  4. Nah, just MOC's that don't look like the Luggabeast Brickset described.
  5. Here's the firing mechanism. It's really simple and effective. The cheese slope presses the missile a bit downwards which makes it shoot out.
  6. Thanks! I've bought/built a dozen SW sets since I left my dark ages behind two years ago, but this actually the first MOC I've done since I started collecting again. I'm thinking of building an AT-ST and Boba's Slave I (system scale) next. I think I tried 20 options for the canopy. I eventually chose for the bubble-canopy because of its size, the way it looks in combination with the rest of the model and this image. I really like the look of the piece you suggested. Didn't even know it existed. The shape is almost perfect (except for the back), but like you said, it's way too big for this model. I'll also post an image of the firing mechanism. It's quite an unusual method, but it works perfectly.
  7. I thought about adding Lobot. However, the 2012 Lobot fig still looks pretty good and it has been 6 years (2010 AT-AT) since a dark blue jacket Han Solo was released. And I really want a dark blue jacket Han Solo ;).
  8. Hello everyone! Since LEGO still hasn't redesigned the 2002 version of the minifig-scale Twin-Pod Cloud Car, I gave it a try. I think it's the first MOC I've done since I was 11 years old (15 years ago), but I'm looking forward to your feedback. Storm IV Twin-Pod Cloud Car Pieces: 224 (incl. minifigs) Minifigs: Lando Calrissian, Cloud Car pilot & Han Solo Features: two opening cockpits and two spring-loaded shooters. The spring-loaded shooters are (almost) hidden in the lower part of the Cloud Car and are activated by pressing the grey button on the cross axle (I've tested the mechanism with real bricks). By the way: the canopy definitely needs a print to look more like the source material, but I'm ok with the shape. Lando needs Finn's hair piece.
  9. I'm definitely an OT-guy, but I have to agree with you. Except for the weird whales and the white Power Ranger jedi's, that is. Seeing this trailer kind of pisses me off that Lego is probably releasing sets of nonexisting ships that don't even look like SW-ships (based on the prelims) while they could release a bunch of amazing sets based on Rebels.
  10. Except for the fact that both ships have a very distinctive "hammerhead" front and one of those ships is totally unknown to the SW universe while the other one is introduced a big Disney animation series.
  11. This seems like a much better looking Hammerhead than the one on the prelim image... Seems unlikely, but is it possible the one on the LEGO image is a placeholder?
  12. The more I look at the new ships, the more I start to dislike them. Sure, we've only seen prelims and they could be great sets, but IMO they just don't look like Star Wars ships. The black one looks like a weird space Batwing. The Hammerhead looks something out of a cheap mobile sci-fi game. Nothing wrong with introducing new designs (great examples: The Ghost, Kylo's shuttle, Rey's speeder), but for now I'm not exited at all. No OT sets this summer is a real let down for me. But it's understandable as most kids probably like Rebels and TFA better than the OT.
  13. Ok, where to start... What the hell are 75145 and 75147?! I'm open to new vehicles but based on the low quality images these look like nothing you'd see in Star Wars. They look like something from a Marvel comic. Not too excited yet. I don't care too much about the Turbo Tank and as an OT-fan I'm just a tiny bit dissapointed about A-wing vs. TIE Advanced. I might get it for the TIE and sell the Rebels stuff. However, I'm excited about the X-wing. I didn't like the black and orange on the previous version, so I'm happy they're releasing a new one. I'm hoping for 1 or 2 OT sets in the summer wave. I know we've got a bunch of great OT sets in the past waves, but there's still room for more (AT-ST, Yoda's hut on Dagobah, Bespin, TIE Interceptor/Bomber, TESB final duel).
  14. Here you go! My own version of Rebel Alliance General Lando: Lando's head (Desert Skiff), Finn's hair and General Cracken's body.
  15. AT-ST (Episode VI): Set includes an AT-ST Pilot, two Imperial Scout Troopers and Luke Skywalker in Endor fatique. Set comes with two regular speeder bikes and and AT-ST with opening hatch and spring-loaded shooters. Cloud City Duel (Episode V): Set includes Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker in Cloud City outfit. Set comes with short hallway with "exploding" pillars and window, platform with pillar for "I'm your father"-scene. Polybag wishlist: - Bossk (in olive green) - Lando (in Cloud City outfit) - Nien Numb (with new head mould)
  16. Haha! Am I the only one who wants an OT TIE Advanced instead of a Rebels one? Hopefully some more OT sets will leak in the coming days including a much needed AT-ST.
  17. Lawngnome's MOD (awesome work) inspired me to make some minor changes to the interior of my MF. I'll post some more pics in daylight tomorrow.
  18. I do care! I'm going to be so happy if TLG is releasing a new AT-ST this summer
  19. Just found my order in the mailbox. They forgot to include my RotJ Luke torso :|
  20. Retail in the Netherlands is €35 ($38), so I'm guessing it will be $30 in the US.
  21. Back on topic. I've just finished building 2 sets from the new wave. Here are some thoughts: Droid Escape Pod + great figs, nice detailed build, printed Death Star tile - huge sticker sheet, value for money isn't great Hoth Attack + nice figs (I don't own the Hoth Han polybag) and that's all - the build isn't really interesting an really small, terrible value for money Another thing: while building the Droid Escape Pod you'll need to stack up three 1x4 plates while you could've simply used one 1x4 brick... WTH? Might have something to do with efficiency while gathering the bricks for the set in the factory. But there are some other examples too. Which make you think they're just cranking up the piece count.
  22. Honestly... What did you expect? These days you're already risking spoilers by starting up your browser. Visiting (LEGO) Star Wars forums after the release of a big new movie? Not a smart move sir.
  23. Best first post ever? Thanks for the info! Just ordered one!
  24. Lucky to find these at Bart Smit (the Netherlands):
  25. Nothing at the other store. I will check one other store in the city center, before heading to the cinema at 5 :D
