Technic 2021 Set Discussion
LvdH replied to LvdH's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Highly unlikely it’s real. Set number 51513 belongs to some pens: https://www.amazon.nl/Lego-51513-gelpen-zwart-blauw/dp/B015FM2GWW In one of those photos you see the wheels with the printed Porsche tiles from 42056 and in the rest you see the same “caps” as the 42096. -

I’m most excited for the Ferrari but also can’t wait to see the rest. Ferrari will probably be kept secret until end of February though. -

The prices provided are usually correct. Maybe the McLaren will be very system heavy, or the Jeep will have large tyres, both of which can impact the price. -
I have to say I was really impressed by how smooth is all moves. In all the gears it doesn't skip or grind, or make any other weird noises. The shifting still hasn't failed me either and the working paddles is really, really cool. I also wanted to share this photoshoot I did with your P1. What Bartybum said, and I feel the need to add that the model Tlego showed was completely built with Lego, except the wheels obviously. He also sells the instructions on Rebrickable so fans aren’t forced to go to the dark side. Although with the rarity of the pieces required... it’s getting near impossible to build a LEGO version.
-
I have to admit it was Tlego that brought it up. But it all worked out in the end. Only had to flip two 1x2 technic bricks to fit the two buwizz and the extra motors were very straight forward. @amorti After having driven it around the house for a little while, it works totally fine in all speeds even with ludicrous speed. But now I am curious what the difference in performance is between Cada L motors and LEGO L motors. Not that I will change them though, those motors are buried deep in the chassis Apologies for the poor lighting, but felt I had to take this picture: Left to right; Black “red” spider/458 Spider, Mercedes C63 Manual, BMW M4 DTM Samsung, Italian supercar/488 Pista, McLaren P1. Like I said all of these range from great to amazing, but the red one is definitely my new favourite.

@brunojj1 I have massive respect for you as a person and for this build. The quality of this build is as I said before really above standards. After this I will have built all of your published MOCs (besides the LaFerrari), and all of them range from great to amazing in my opinion. The P1 was great but it had a few questionable techniques, but I really haven’t noticed anything in this car. I guess the closest thing is the door locks/handle, which do actually “lock” in place. My version with Lamborghini wheels: All in all, Really looking forward to your next!

I was wondering if anyone was going to post it. But man this car is beautiful. I managed to get my hands on photoscanned instructions, and created a parts list myself. I’m currently building it using LEGO with 8x red spray painted curved panels. And I can say with confidence this is truly an amazing build, both in quality and experience. The cada Version has two L motors but you could use four L motors. There are some grey liftarms you replace and add a few gears. If anyone’s got questions I will gladly answer. And for those wondering, Cada has uploaded instructions for many of their sets. I would think they eventually become available. Oh and a little sneak peak from me:

Most likely, yeah. I hope it includes new panels, like the RSR did. -

Thanks. Fixed it. Also fun fact to mention: The hovercraft is actually called “hovercraft for rescue operations” in Germany, according to Promobricks. -

I have read in another topic they pulled the parts and cancelled the orders, but a friend of mine told me that his order with those parts have been shipped earlier this week. -

Looking really nice! I love the technique used for the sides. I’ve never seen them with a curve using soft axles. I will follow this project for sure. Although I do agree the C pillars look cluttered. -
You said it yourself. It’s based on something. There are no profits going to Lockheed. You may or may not agree with the cancellation of 42113 but I think it should be clear to everyone that the license here was the issue. The 42025 is clearly based on a C130, but there was no license and no ties to any military and as such it was totally fine to release as a toy. What you really should have said is why they made a Sopwith (two in fact) and a Red Baron, which were in fact used by a military to kill humans during WW1.

Apologies if it has already been said, but you can order the Osprey parts from LEGO Bricks and pieces. Yes, including the exclusive ones. You just have to search for the part number. -

It has a roof that, like the real car, can be taken off and stored in the frunk.

I have the older version of the Centenario wheels, which used 1/2 pins to connect to the hub. It’s definitely not for RC models but for a manual model there isn’t really any issues as long as you don’t play too hard. There isn’t any issue with the two halves staying connected. The tyre helps with that too.
