Sets nowadays are built very differently. Comparing part count doesn't mean much. 8674 is almost an empty shell especially by modern standards. For example the 42125 Ferrari has 400 more parts than 8070, yet both are in 1:10 scale and 8070 even has a gearbox. I hope it's 1:8, but I think it will be 1:10.

Technic 2022 Set Discussion
LvdH replied to Technicallism's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have no idea what you are getting at. I only listed 2H sets, because that’s what @GoldVillage was talking about. As far as I am aware the Batmobile only released in America so far. The Dutch, Australian and British LEGO shop page shows it releases January 1st 2022. The Dodge Charger released in March 2020 If I remember correctly, I don’t consider that a second half year set. First half is almost always filled with cars, and the second half is when they’ll release the construction sets, trucks, cranes, etc.. So again, I highly doubt there will be more than one car this summer, because the car they will release is supposed to take the spotlight. Just like 2016, 2018 and 2020. -
That looks quite cool. You have some great panelwork skills. The lights are shaped very well, and I like the (300SL inspired?) grille on the sides. My only real complaint is that the hood/bonnet/engine cover/whatever you call it, is quite boring. Some kind of air intake or grille would work well there. The soft axles also stick out a bit far above the wheels, but you do have the adjustable ride height so guess that doesn't really matter.

Technic 2022 Set Discussion
LvdH replied to Technicallism's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
If you know anything about the way LEGO releases sets, you'll know that is exactly what they do. This year for example, the only 2H set I would consider a car is the Ford Raptor. The year before there was the Lamborghini (part of a biyearly series) as the only car. 2019 had the Land Rover (technically October but whatever) and I guess the 42099 off roader. 2018 only had the Bugatti (again, a series). See what I mean? Second half will consist of exactly what you want plus one supercar, and you can quote me on that if I am wrong. -

Definitely not, as much as that would be a dream for me. There will be only one. Releasing two at once is just a bad business tactic. -
Mercedes AMG GT3
LvdH replied to roxXx5's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The overall build is quite good. I like the grille a lot, t looks great. You should look into changing the headlights though. Just two white rigid hoses or minifigure bars will improve the design so much. Check out the parts list of the Sian if you want to know which parts I mean. -
Technic 2022 Set Discussion

I have said it in another topic but blue is a great candidate as well. Blue 11L soft axle in the McLaren Blue #5 and #6 panel in the McLaren Blue 3 x 11 panel in the Ferrari and recent tow truck Blue connector 27940 in the McLaren Blue 2x3 panel in the McLaren And now the upcoming 42139 Control+ set (March) also seems to be blue, which would bring panel #3 and #4. That's a lot of new blue parts recently after several years of basically nothing. But, it is very similar to the Bugatti Chiron so maybe that won't be it (it will probably retire very soon though). -
42133 - Telescopic Loader
LvdH replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The set looks quite functional for a €10 set. Steering, raising boom, tilting fork. The set is white and dark turquoise. B model looks like a tow truck.- 67 replies

Technic 2022 Set Discussion
LvdH replied to Technicallism's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Something like that, but with tracks. One of the sides is blue/dark azure (probably the latter but I hope the former), white and yellow, The other side is orange, and probably something else. The bodywork of the orange side is different than the blue side though. There is probably some mechanism involved to make the body move up and down from the tracks, because the bodywork appears to stick out above the tracks. It has a small wheel on top of the cabin. Other details: One large thread on the back, one smaller version (not new) in the front, and four pulleys on the bottom and top. Most panels are covered with stickers. New 5x2 elliptical liftarm in dark azure/blue appears in this set as well. -

Blue is also a possibility. Three new panels and a new soft axle in this 2021H1, 3x11 flat panel, #5 and #6 panels and the 11 long soft axle. The Senna also has the white connector Jim mentioned in blue.- 5,507 replies

Slightly off topic but we'll likely get some news at the end of January. LEGO will be attending the London Toy Fair.- 5,507 replies

A white Liebherr crane seems possible now that 42082 is retiring/retired. Maybe in the style of 42009 or 8421, possibly bringing back the 62.4mm tires. Or a white supercar, but I think that is less likely.- 5,507 replies

42130 - BMW M1000RR K66
LvdH replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I believe this is the actual reason he started using them, if I'm not mistaken the first time he did it was in the '89 Batmobile, aka the fingerprint magnet. -

One shock per wheel could be enough with the right geometry, even with the old 6.5L shock. That said I am hoping to see these new ones in some supercars in the coming year(s). It's 9 studs long with 1.5 studs of travel. -

The rim is approximately 113 millimeters in diameter, which translates to about 9 studs.
